I stopped coming to this UPS Store about a year ago. I used to use them for Amazon Returns and Notary, however my previous experience was the charges any amount they like to quote. Today I stopped by again because the other UPS Store's Notary person is off so I decided to give them another try since I called them. Honestly I don't know why they're so lazy there. It's obvious that I bring my little English speaker elderly parent to update her pension benefits update which requires Notary. The chubby tall man was doing nothing and when told we need Notary the younger man have to help him get the Notary booklet. While he was walking over he asked for the Title of the Form, we gave it to him. He insisted my mom that speak little English need to know the title. He did not accept it while she was explaining it to her it's update pension benefits after his death. It's pretty much the same title, while he insisted it's the law and turn us away. It's probably because I started asking them if it's $15 per person. They are pretty much thieves there. Someone needs to investigate them and get them arrested if possible. I know I'm ranting but it's just this isolared UPS Store because I'm still using other UPS store, just to be fair. read more

I wanted to start with that I understand trying to upsell services, but I was only there to make two Amazon returns. After declining the offer of paying to repackage the box and the service to have them add more tape, I shouldn't be asked multiple times after to reconsider and how it may affect my return. There was cosmetic damage on the box with some denting but nothing that was a large tear or opening that will cause the contents to spill. So when the clerk told me that when they move and ship back the items it may cause it to tear, why is that my liability when we are trusting UPS to get our packages to their destination in one piece? read more

Terrible experience. The employees at this UPS Store steal high value packages. I bought a high priced item through Amazon but decided it wasn't for me and initiated a return. The return option instructed me to drop it off at a UPS Store with no need to repackage, so I did, along with a few other Amazon items. The next day, I checked the tracking, and all the items except the high priced item were scanned and on their way to Amazon. I called the store, and an employee told me, "Oh, the more expensive items get picked up by a different vehicle." That's a lie. It was the same employee who scanned the item from me and had shown interest in it. Days passed with no update. I called again, and they said it wasn't there. I contacted Amazon, and after a couple of days, they refunded me and said they had handled the situation. I have no idea what that entailed since the employee is still there, but I wouldn't trust this UPS Store at all. They also can't park. read more

I had this location print out menus for my restaurant, they were fast, super friendly and I definitely saved a bunch of money going this route, I definitely got my money's worth! I've been in eCommerce for over 12 years and ship hundreds of packages monthly, so I know my way around shipping policies. However, my experience at this UPS store was beyond frustrating due to their predatory sales tactics. They outright rejected my perfectly good reused boxes, claiming they were "not suitable for shipping." These were sturdy, clean boxes that are perfectly find to use. It's not some old teared up falling apart boxes. The employees here insisted I purchase their overpriced boxes instead. It felt less like a shipping service and more like a hard sell at a retail store. Unfortunately, they would not budge so I had to take my UPS packages up the street to the Gerber location and they took my re-used boxes with no issues. I've since started dropping off all my UPS packages at the Gerber location with no issues. They take all my boxes regardless if they are reused. read more

I'm not surprised to see all the other negative reviews about this UPS store, desperately trying to up-sell services. I don't leave many reviews, but the Linus Tech Tips from Temu looking clown deserves this. Look up Linus Tech Tips on YouTube and you'll know which employee I'm talking about. Here's what happened: I came into the store to return an Amazon package that said box needed, no label required. Simple, just like the hundreds of Amazon packages I've returned in the past. The clown behind the counter proceeds to tell me that the box I have isn't adequate. I said, "It's the same exact box Amazon used to deliver the item". He says, "where's the old label?", I turn the box around and pointed to the area where you can tell a label was removed. He then changes the subject and says it's so easy to get reimbursed by Amazon on packaging, and offers to package and box up my box. He goes to say that he can tell the box will get destroyed in a second, because he has 100lb packages that they're going to throw on top of it, that it's not going to survive. I asked him, ignoring all of the BS he's spewing, "So you're saying you can't take my package?" And he goes "There's a reason we partner up with Amazon and it's because we can help you package it blah blah blah it's so easy to get reimbursed..." I said "okay, Nevermind then" and he tried to be snarky by yelling out "Have a nice day!" When I left. I drove down the street to the UPS store on Gerber and they simply beeped my QR code and happily slapped a label on the box and off I went. It didn't need to be that hard, now does it? Nothing is free. I guess I should have known better so I'm just going to blame myself. I will warn others if you have any kind of return it has to go in a box. If you have no box it will cost $8 great . Luckily I had a box. I asked for tape for my box another $8 so at that point I told the guy I'd come back because I'd be spending more money trying to return the item. A very nice lady came out and offered me to use her tape because like me she too thinks it's ridiculous. We still have kind ppl in this world. There is hope!. Thank you to the sweet lady who gave me a few pieces of tape and helped me tape up my box. By the way returning with Amazon at Kohl's is so much easier and convenient, they will print out the label and do the packaging for you !! Amazon/kohls W UPS L big big L lol Also all return packages are sitting in the lobby with easy access with one person behind the counter. It's so easy for an employee to be distracted with many customers for someone to walk in and grab a box and go. It would be much secure to put the packages behind the counter. At Kohl's they scan your label. So even if the packages are not secured at least you know the return has been scanned and accounted for .. Again big big L for ups store. read more

I work at a care home and often take my patients' amazon packages for returns. UPS locations have the self-service kiosks to make this seamless. This is now the second time I've come to make bulk returns and twice now I've been lectured by one particular worker. It's a short blonde man, and he nitpicks whether or not if you use the clear bags or original amazon packaging. I've gone to other UPS locations that allow me to simply paste the label on the original packaging and I've always done this simply to save paper. Twice now, this worker makes statements that sugar coat your mistakes such as "ma'am did you look at your QR code? look at it. no. look at your QR code". If you have to repeat your instructions more than two times, I think it's pretty obvious i'm confused! He was trying to get me to look at the "No box no label" signage under the QR code (which is in small print and no one looks at that lol). So he says "see that? see how it says no box no label?" like i'm 5. So today, I came prepared and brought no original packing, but of course now the signage has changed and you DO NEED your original packaging and you DO paste the label right on it. So he takes my items and tries to sell me boxes to put it into. Like no! I will go home and fish out the original boxes/bags. You can tell he's the eye roll of his coworkers. Clean area, everyone else is cool, simply just him that made it an annoying experience twice now. read more

THE BOX I MAILED HAD HOLES IN IT & PARTS OF THE BOX WAS MISSING WHEN IT ARRIVED AT ITS DESTINATION. The staff said the box would be put onto a different box but this didn't happen. Seems as though someone tore the box open b/c the contents listed games and a game console. I sent 2 other boxes listing the contents as clothes/shoes only, and nothing happened to them. Came in today to mail off a letter, do an Amazon return and a dept store return (FedEx return but I wasn't thinking and grabbed all my stuff.) Siah kindly pointed out that one of my returns was for FedEx and we both laughed because I get the UPS and FedEx mixed up. He showed me how to use the Amazon kiosk to save time. And then he processed my letter for mailing. Siah wasn't bothered that I had so many transactions to process and was patient with me. Thanks, Siah! read more

This UPS store is inconsistent. They have too few employees for their traffic. The staff is always friendly, just over worked. I was in today to drop off a prepaid envelope and was in there 10 minutes. I come to this location because of its location, but may travel further down Calvine in the future. I've been coming to this UPS store location for years! From the time I've lived close by, to now living on the other end of Elk Grove, this is still my preferred UPS store. I typically come in for my Amazon returns, but have utilized other services such as faxing documents and purchasing mailing supplies. For some reason, this location has never been busy when I come. The few times there has been a line, the workers have been quick and efficient, and waiting has never seemed like a drag. Scott has been the guy and it seems as if he ALWAYS genuinely enjoys his job. Always a good sense of humor and great attitude -- one of the reasons why I feel comfortable coming here. Not sure why this place has such low ratings, but I would absolutely recommend this UPS store location for the quick services, great customer service, and quick in-and-out for Amazon returns. read more

Every time I am here in the late afternoon, I am helped by a super friendly Associate named "D". This guy is amazing, even when it seems like he is juggling the whole store by himself. I've seen him move people in and out with a breeze. Something must have changed since all the negative reviews because my experience was the complete opposite. I had a very heavy box I needed to ship and me and daughter were struggling to get the door open and they came running over to help us. They placed it in a dolly and at that point realized my box was too flimsy for the weight and would probably bust open in transit. They got me a bigger box and even helped me transfer all 300 pieces from one box to the other. They went above and beyond to help me and make sure my items were going to be secure. As for masks, every single employee had one on properly. I was nervous coming here based on reviews of rude customer service but I was pleasantly surprised and overall very satisfied with my experience. read more

I always appreciate the conveniences of a UPS store and this location didn't disappoint! I needed to renew my passport, and was happy to find out that I could have my official photo taken on the premises, and then to have all my completed paperwork placed in the correct envelope recommended for tracking purposes, complete with preprinted address labels. Tarah was on staff that morning who was extremely helpful in assisting me. I couldn't help but feel a little stressed when it came to getting my renewal information to it's official locale, especially in this day and age of mail and identity theft. But she made sure that I would be able to track my USPS mail on line with the given tracking number. After having to wait for the weekend to pass, and a holiday Monday, I was able to make sure that my mail arrived at it's destination. Several long weeks later, I received my official passport. My only disappointment was that my passport photo came out terrible because I wasn't allowed to smile. They let me smile on my last passport photo! She didn't give me an opportunity to have another one taken. Now I have to live with this awful mug shot of me looking old, stern and sickly for another 10 years! read more

I've had no problems with any worker, except the young gentleman with long hair - who talks a lot. I've gone twice & he has assisted me; the 1st time, the issue was the tape (I had to buy a whole box - it cost me more than the return). The 2nd time, the box needed to be "packaged correctly" according to him (they would also charge me more). I decided to take my package to Gerber Road & I had no problem. She tried to sell me a $27 box I said oh no. So I took my return to another UPS down the street on Gerber Rd and they took my return with no box needed and no problems. Before, there could be a longer wait every now and then for all services but now with the new Amazon return kiosk, that specific return process is much faster. This is my go-to spot for all my UPS packages and shipping needs. Long time worker, Scott, and the rest of the workers have always been helpful. Knowledgeable in all that they do, they recently added a self-service drop off machine. This is definitely a benefit for me, as I only need to typically scan in my packages and get a receipt.
