I was gracious and courteous, said "please" & "thank you," yet was treated disrespectfully. I will go out of my way to let others know and avoid this unprofessional business. Normally i am prepared for a negative or just lackluster experience when i come to this store, but i had a very difficult situation between Amazon and ups that had me stuck so i reached out. I was so surprised with the excellent service i received. I was well taken care of And they understood the problem and helped me the best they could...all with smiles and positivity. They validated how difficult some of these transactions are and tried to help me find the best solution. Extremely pleased with this change in service! Never any issues when I come to this location. I'm always in and out never a wait! I respect him not wearing a mask for his own reasonings and feel it's no one else's business to even ask why he's not wearing one. Does anyone ask why you are wearing one? I don't understand all the negative reviews. I walked in, was greeted by one of the 4 masked employees, and Rosa was SO helpful. I visited this UPS store on 7/30/20 to return AT&T cable t.v. equipment. I found the staff rude and very uncooperative. They refused to give me a receipt for the equipment I was returning. Nor would they let me return later to get a copy of a receipt. All I was given was a pathetic return "work order" that does not itemize the equipment I was returning and its condition. I was returning hundreds if not thousands of dollars worth of equipment for four wireless cable set-ups. If my equipment comes up missing or damaged, there is going to be trouble. AT&T has been contacted and apprised of this very poor customer service. I will next contact UPS Corporate Office to apprise them of same. BTW: This isn't the first time I have had difficulties with this location. They are a franchise, if you can believe it. Quick, professional service. I dropped off 3 boxes to be sent out. I was in and out quickly with polite, professional service. The only cons (-) were that the price was a little higher than expected (by $5 total) and the guy spoke very little and in monotone - which did not affect the service at all. (I'm just a chatty person!) A few more people walked in after me and he called for an additional person to help out to keep people from waiting too long. Overall, I've always been pleased when dropping items off - just usually I have a prepaid sticker on the boxes and it literally takes 10-15 seconds and I'm out the door. read more

I had the worse service i have ever had at any customer establishment. my shipping good where held hostage while i was forced to pay a $3 fee for a item with a paid label valued at $10. i will never use your services again until action is taken. 5/29/2021 at 6:52pm lansing store .. i was belittle, insulted and and out right embarrassed by the words used by the attendant. We have a box here and the owner/manager is great. He is lacking a bit in personality, but he's very helpful. As soon as he sees me walking up, he goes to grab the mail for me. They literally say they offer notary services and when we went in there, they claimed that the form we had was the one type of form they didn't notarize. They just didn't seem to no what they were doing or how to be polite to a customer. Definitely don't recommend. read more

This might be the most racist, non -senior friendly place in all of Michigan. My 65 year old dad had to go in and needed a return label printed, the manager explicitly refused to help him and embarrassed him for not knowing how to use the print machine. Also this place doesn't accept cash. I don't know how such people run stores, but this place is just giving UPS a bad name. read more

Upon walking up to the door, I could see an employee sitting in the back room and knew it was going to be an unpleasant experience. The "dingy" looking boy that helped was not courteous, unprofessional, and unhelpful. I'll be surprised if the package I sent arrives undamaged. I have had nothing but good experiences with this location. Unlike the location on Grand River, this one will give you a drop-off receipt when we return a prepaid package. This is a must if you actually want proof that UPS tendered the package before you leave the store. read more

If I could give a 0 star review I would. We don't live in Lansing but we are originally from the area. My wife had a baby shower and we needed to get some items shipped back to Arizona. We stopped in with the items that needed to be shipped and were greeted by an employee/manager/owner that seemed to have no personality whatsoever. We gave him our information and let him know we were looking for the least expensive option available. The box used was 21x21x21 so we were expecting a price around $45-50 as we've been receiving packages back in AZ on an almost daily basis from friends and family in Michigan and most of them have had the shipping label/price on them. When he comes back to us and says $95 our jaws hit the floor!! We proceeded to let him know that wasn't even in the ballpark and we were going to be heading to the post office. Once we let him know that he proceeded to get even a bit colder and if felt as if we just wasted his time and were and inconvenience. We drove 2 miles down the road to the Post Office and paid $35.48. Needless to say, I will never be heading to a UPS Store unless it's to drop off a prepaid package and I would most definitely avoid this location if I lived in the Lansing area for the service alone. read more

Generally terrible service. The guy at the front desk is kind of incompetent. It is unfortunately closest to where I live. I haven't been to the USPS in the area, but maybe go to that first. Service is slow possibly because it is understaffed. I'm fuming. I came into the store before the majority of people in line when the store was almost empty. When I got into line I was 3rd out of a quickly growing line of realistically 10 behind me. I probably waited 10 minutes to finally get service. He processed my first box then asked me if I could wait while he processed everyone's orders before me before processing my second box. It took him 5-10 minutes to process my own Amazon box due to his own incompetence and now he is asking me to wait an extra 20 minutes to process everyone else's behind me? The people who came before me? He was ready to process the order of the person in front of me who wasn't using Amazon. She backed out because it was in the $100s. This is very telling. Really, he just didn't want to service me anymore and wanted the line to drop. Because if that really wasn't the case, he would have told the woman in front of me to stand to the side as well and just processed all the Amazon boxes first. advice: Got to USPS first if you can help it. At least service will be predictably slow, and you won't have to pay the premium. To management: Hire more than 2 people for the front desk. I know that there are at least 2 stations for the front desk in which to process orders. I've seen two people processing done during low traffic hours. read more

I don't know what happened with some of the bad reviews posted about this particular UPS store but when I had to return my textbooks from MSU at the end of December they were nothing but helpful. I had several books and they all needed to go to separate addresses and I didn't even have packaging but the guy that was helping me (Jake I think?) was very friendly and the owner even helped sorting through my mess of textbooks/addresses/packaging. They gave me tracking on all my books too so that I could be sure they arrived where they were supposed to go. I will be returning for any of my future shipping needs :) read more

I'd avoid this place, if possible. I usually don't write reviews, but the service here is really bad. This is the worst UPS store I've ever dealt with. The store owner is soooo rude. I came here because I needed 8 passport pictures. The pictures he gave me are sooo blurry have discoloration spots. I told him about it he told me it passes the passport requirement. My attorney literally laughed at me for the poor quality and how blurry the pictures looked. I wanted to return it back to them for a refund and he refused to give me my money back. I called the police on him, they couldn't do anything because it is a business matter. So I called theupsstore headquarter and filed a formal complaint, let's see how it goes. Please avoid this at all costs. Wish you good luck.
