Capital City Reprographics has done lots of work for my business - from unique business cards to catalogues to advertising flyers. In addition, I have seen amazing reproductions done for local artists! It's hard to tell the copies from the originals! I can also get my paper and ink supplies from Cap City at a great discount. I highly recommend them for everything from personalized Xmas cards or wedding invitations to banners and fine art! read more

As a former employee and former customer of CapCityRepro I can attest that you will overpay for an under-quality product. IF they actually make it in-house it will be made with out-dated, barely functioning printers and worn equipment; but most likely they will just outsource it and price hike it unfairly and too high! There are much better choices out there, online and locally, that will be much more knowledgeable and skilled at printing and designing your project. The people in charge of this place definitely do not support local, they treat their customers slightly better than their employees and that's not saying much, and they have zero knowledge of Fine Art. The motto here is "Quality Printing and Design," take that with a grain of salt! There is no quality control here! Go somewhere with people who understand and appreciate art, artists, and most importantly, their community! This is a VERY poorly managed "print shop". BUYER BEWARE!! read more

As an artist, it is incredibly important to find a company that pays attention to detail and takes good care of both my art & its reproductions. Cap City has done this time and again for me. Corey, is the best to work with. She has a great eye for design and has an intuitive way of working with client's. She has walked me through design choices and reviewing my bill. That is the only drawback to Cap City - the pricing on the receipts is not customer friendly. Items are calculated by the amount of paper used and not broken down by quantity and size. However, it is not worth a star drop because the staff is always willing to pull out a calculator and break down the billing. read more

This place was just hiding right there on Center street in Old Town, and they do a lot of cool Fine Art reproductions that turn out Pretty Neat. The Designers in the store make the experience so easy and enjoyful. They make excellent greeting cards that are custom to whatever you need designed, which turn out to be the same price as any store made invitation, birthday, holiday, or special card. Had some of my photos printed from my DSLR on here, and my RAW images turned out really well on photo paper. read more

You must come here for your t-shirt printing. You must. I'm not kidding…read more How can you not love RetroDuck? - a local business - quick turn around time - awesome website - amazing customer service - great products - great options for designing your own shirt and ordering pre-made ones My friends and I used RD for our shirts for bar crawls and other events are were not disappointed! :D

I officially LOVE RetroDuck…read more A group of seniors in my major decided to have a bar crawl the week before our last finals week. And at the last minute, we decided we wanted shirts as well. We threw together a pretty basic design (1 color, front-and-back design) and set out to find a local business that could screenprint a dozen shirts on such short notice (1 week). Turns out everyone in town was having bar crawls/BBQs/other end of the school year events and every screenprinting place I visited was SWAMPED. I even called a few places in Lansing, Holt, and Okemos. No one could turnaround the shirts in just a few days. Then I called RetroDuck and told them of my plight. "Sure we can do it, no problem." The customer service was great: I submitted my design via email and picked out a shirt color from their online catalog. RetroDuck emailed me back a few hours later with a graphic displaying how my design would look on the shirt I had picked out. I got to doublecheck the sizing of the design and everything. The shirts were done on time with no mistakes. After all was said and done, each shirt cost $11.90. Zero complaints.

But when we contacted Capital Imaging about reprinting that piece with the error fixed, they gave us a great break on the reprint, even though the reprint was to fix our error. Amazing! The piece looks great on our nursery wall. I absolutely recommend Capital Imaging for all your printing needs, great or small. It's fun being able to support a local business, their work is excellent, and they know how to do business well.
