When asking about pricing, she responded dismissively and threw the clothing items back instead of communicating professionally. The experience has been negative on multiple occasions. read more

The owner at Sandie's Tailoring has been working there for 17 years and knows her stuff. I have a clothing business and asked them for help. They work long hours, past the closing times and rarely have time for lunch breaks. All of my apparel came out exactly how I requested, I can't recommend this small business enough. read more

Sandie's tailoring work is high-quality, but the service is inconsistent. On more than one occasion there has not been anyone in the shop during hours posted on the door as "Open". One time my garment was not ready on the date written on the slip. I've only been in the shop a handful of times, but each time, they are eating and watching TV, not working. In the few times I've been there, I've never seen anyone working, which is frustrating when your items are not done. The shop organization appears pretty chaotic and they have a hard time finding things. However, they've done great work (repair is totally unnoticable) on complex pieces like jeans and winter coats, so I just don't recommend them for anything that is time-sensitive. read more

I trusted them with my $400 prom dress and it needed a lot of work, I let had to be taken in on the sides and hemmed shorter. It took two weeks and when I picked it up I was so happy with how it looked! The staff was friendly and it only cost $55. I would go back to them again! read more

After hearing a positive review from a family member who had a formal dress altered at Sandie's, I brought my own formal dress in. It didn't need much - just to have the straps shortened and the bottom hem taken up a couple inches. The price was very reasonable, and I was told to come back in a week to pick it up. I came back on the exact day I was told, and the dress wasn't done - the woman said she would be with me in just a moment while she finished the hem, and I saw her take it down and start sewing on it. I'm pretty sure she hadn't even touched it before I came in - the dress was made out of a material where the hem would just need to be cut, not sewn, so I think she was sewing the straps and then cutting the hem while I was waiting there. Did she need the dress for an entire week to do that? And why wasn't it done on the day I was told to pick up? She had me try on the dress again - the strap did fit much nicer, and the length was a lot better too. When I took the dress off and sat it on a chair as I redressed, I noticed the bottom hem had some very jagged edges. I looked closer, and there were multiple points where you could tell they had just tried to do a rush job on it which created sharp little peaks on the dress instead of a smooth hem. Not so happy with that, especially because I'm sure they could have done a good quality job if they had spent time on it during the week and not last-minute...but I needed to wear the dress the next day and I doubt anyone will be able to notice once its on, so I paid and left. Redeeming factor is the price was cheap, but you get what you pay for. The people were nice too, but I never brought up my issue with the jagged hem to see how they were able to deal with issues but they never should have let it get off the table like that. I've been using her for a decade for all my alterations. She does a great job; the stuff always fits after I get it back and I've never known her to mess anything up. She's quick; I'm usually in and out of there inside of ten minutes. And, she's very reasonable in her pricing as well. Excellent tailor. read more

The workers do a great job but their pricing was inconsistent. I had three pairs of pants (different color) dropped of to be re-hemmed at the leg opening part & was charge three different prices. Also there parking in the back is fine; it just takes forever to drive out to the Main Street. The shop is located in a busy area. read more

Saindies is great for hems and basics, and the prices are reasonable, but they are not "tailors" in the truest sense of the word. A real tailor measures their customer if there are trickier alterations to be done (and some of mine were). The very pleasant young lady running the shop pinned in seams on my jacket and pair of pants, but never took any measurements. Not surprisingly, the easier stuff was fine (hems and straight side seams) but harder stuff (shortening the rise in pants, curved seams) was not. That is not what they do. I checked back with those who reccomended them and they pretty much had only had hems and basics done there as well. So go if you just need something simple, but find a real tailor for the tough stuff. read more

I got an expensive pair of dress pants hemmed and one leg is half an inch shorter than the other. I should have known that quality was not their priority when they told me I could pick them up whenever - Immediately after dropping them off. They won't give me a refund but say they'll fix it for free. I do not trust their work and I will never go back to this place. read more

I had to have a bridesmaids dress altered in a week and they did a great job. Had to have it taken in about an inch, and even with the rush gave me a fantastic price (cash/check only..) They had it ready on time and the dress fit great. Thank you, Sandie Tailoring! read more
