Paid 3.24 for a little card lamination. The clerk asked if I wanted to wait 5 minutes for it to be done. I said sure. Paid with cash, it's another .97. Fine, but tell me it's an up charge first. The she takes off. Someone else gave it to me 40 minutes later, not 5 minutes. Must be unionized. read more

I stopped in to Staples to do some printing and to get a document laminated a couple of weeks ago and my experience was great. The woman who did the lamination for me quoted me 10 minutes so I paid for it, did my printing, and perused the store while I waited. The store had table tents set up to let customers know which computers and copy machines had been sanitized due to COVID which was refreshing to see. My only gripe about Staples is that it costs a lot of money to do regular printing here. If I am not printing in color, I usually print one copy then use the copier to make copies of it as copies are much less per sheet than printing. I ended up purchasing my own printer after this visit because it was getting too pricey for my budget. read more

I have been so happy with the printing service at this store. I've had items printed for an organization that I volunteer for several times in the last year. They work with my files to make it work. The staff have always been helpful, competent and friendly. The prices are competitive. The last printing job was nearly $100 less that FedEx. They have even given me suggestions to save money! Honestly, every employee has been friendly which really helps in these days of COVID. Great place. read more

Wow. I was insulted by the customer service cashier. I was returning an ipad screen protection (with manufacturer's error in it) and Bianca had no idea if she could return it. I explained that when I bought it, the cashier said I had 14 days to return in. It had only been 7 days. After consulting a bunch of people, finally the manager, Deb Carpenter, approached with a look on her face that made me think she hated her life. No smile. No greeting. Nothing. She approved the return. I made a suggestion that if Staples doesn't want you to return the screen protection, they should put a sign up in the aisle letting the customer know that. Deb Carpenter said, 'Who said you couldn't return it?" I said that the cashiers alluded to the fact since they were unsure whether they were allowed to. That's when Bianca decides to explain in front of her manager that the only reason the screen protection doesn't work is due to OPERATOR ERROR. WHAT?! Really....she's going to insult me like that? I told her I was insulted and that I could follow directions very well. The defect was in the plastic protector, not 'OPERATOR ERROR". Deb Carpenter did nothing and just explained that USUALLY she doesn't return them. Obviously, I was an exception and should be grateful. But.....but....earlier Deb Carpenter asked, "Who said you couldn't return it?" Um.......why would you ask that if you KNOW you usually don't return them? I was never apologized to. Bianca just told me to swipe my card to process the return. Wow. Great customer service. Forget you Staples. Jason Crandall (General Manager)...do you have a reply? Why was your store so rude? Why not hang a sign up rather than sucker people in to a no-return policy item? read more

I had a mixed experience at this Staples. I went to get flyers/postcards printed & one of the staff members was incredibly helpful & patient while I adjusted the flyer file to make it fit & look nice printed on postcards. Once we had the file right they said I should hear back within 4 hours to pick the finished copies up. Well, they weren't done within that time frame since their equipment broke. What frustrated me most about my experience was that they were unapologetic & had terrible follow through. They would say "we'll call you within an hour with an update" & I'd end up having to call them 3 hours later to check in. Eventually I was able to get them to give me a 20% discount, since it took them several days to finish an order that was supposed to take 4 hours & I had to get additional postcards printed elsewhere to get them in time. Be careful if you're on a deadline, no guarantees Staples will fulfill. read more

It's a Staples. Although, they do play to their college student market and tend to have lots of school and crafting supplies. I've found it difficult to find specific pens and types of paper. They have a decent amount of computers and tech products, but given that, they mostly focus on the college students that visit their store (i.e. ipad covers, iphone accessories, etc.). read more

My fiancé and I had our wedding invitations printed here. All we really needed was for them to print our invitations on card stock, and we said we would do the cutting ourselves. They suggested we use their "invitation template" which caused a ton of confusion on their part, even though we brought a sample of our invitations. We picked up our order the next day and they printed four per page, which threw off our dimensions completely. I took the order back the next day to have them reprinted. They came out beautifully! However, they printed half the quantity that we needed and PAID for. I am still waiting to see what the resolution will be. read more

Went in to place a simple same day order for 3 x 5 post cards with a text only front and back. The girl assured me it could be done and no problem. Except for the fact that all you get is a stack of 8x10 card stock that now needs to be cut?! Really? You tell me that you can do this and when I pick up the order 2 hours later I'm told they are going to now charge me an additional $12 to cut to size? I just read that they are closing 30 more stores, sad to say I can see why. read more

Worst Staples to which I have been. Placed a print order I needed the same evening. I didn't receive an email response until over an hour after I placed the order and I was there to pick up (a little too late). When I arrived I was informed they couldn't do it, and the earliest they could get around to it was noon the following day. The person working was completely unhelpful and seemed to not want to leave her chair. I certainly hope the next time I'm in Lansing on business I will not need their services. read more

This was probably my favorite staples in town. If you're going to splurge, don't do it here. The service is non-existent though I'd argue that's the office supply feel. My server was not there, and was not able to give me some great guidance,(he totally ignored me as he walked past me without even saying hi, twice!). He asked a lady & little girl: "Are you finding everything okay ladies?" She said yes. They smiled and went on their happy and merry way. Five minutes later he brought four people into my aisle to find something. They were also very happy. Everything you've heard in their reviews is probably 100% true and then some. I was going to suggest training. But this person was not young. Any person will display common courtesy if they personally want to help a customer. And the manager seemed to think that was okay. He said: "Things get hectic around here". It woud've been better not to see the employee in the aisle at all. I would've struggled to find my things and left happily. I told the manager that I just wanted him to know. read more

They do not carry enough ink or other printer supplies, and it was hard to find where the ink was. They had ink in at least 3 different spots in the middle CF of a maze. Every staples store I've been to has had it in one isle. Spent a good 30 minutes trying to find canon printer ink to only find out they were out of stock of the one I needed. During this whole time, there wasn't an employee around to help me. I called the other staples store in Lansing and they had it and were much nicer. I will be going there instead next time. read more

Rude customer service, does not honor extended warranty, warranty company reps, can not speak proper English, will never shop there again. Sad that all customer service in this country has gone way down hill. read more
