Horrible experience, from the attitude to the yelling. I have come to this location for years now since im a local and never did I have an experience that made me feel disrespected. I was not greeted by the staff, and when I was processing my returns each product was grabbed from my hands as if she was super upset and annoyed. After the items were taken I kindly asked if she can dispose of the box and rudely said no. Then while walking out I noticed a bin went envelope and boxes of trash so I decided to dismantle the box to nicely throw it away. While I do this two ladies started yelling at me to stop and that I won't be able to throw away trash In the trash. WHICH I WAS SHOCKED, while showing them other people have done that and what makes it different for me. They both kept yelling at me with attitude that others customer around felt uncomfortable. I did not once raise my voice while two employees yelled at me a customer. I understand they are busy du to the holiday I myself am in customer facing job. BUT this doesn't give anyone a right to yell at a customer or disrespect them. I rather drive further away then to ever go back to this location. read more

Unfortunately, the several times that I've needed to drop something off here (usually a return to a gigantic online vendor), service has not been great. But this last time took the cake. The staff did not arrive until 5 minutes after opening time! There was a line of customers waiting when they arrived. The staff attitude was rude, no apologies were offered, service was minimal, and the place did not look well kept up. UPS does a great job on deliveries but their brick and mortar businesses leave a lot to be desired. read more

I live very close to this location and am occasionally tempted to come here because it's so convenient, however today I was reminded why it's worth it to drive to elsewhere in order to have a good experience in the UPS store there. Twice I have attempted to have documents notarized in this location and an extremely rude employee states that he's unable to notarize the document as it's prepared. The first time this happened I contacted my attorney who reassured me that they were properly prepared, so I went to the UPS store and La Canada where they notarized the exact same document with no revision and no reservation. I recently had another batch of documents to be notarized and thought since I'm right here in the plaza already I'll try to have the La crescenta store help me out but I unfortunately had the same rude and difficult employee tell me that he could not notarize these documents as they were presented. I informed him that the last time he told me that both my attorney and another notary disagreed with him and that he is incorrect about the technicality he is objecting to. He didn't seem to care and said that I'd have to just go to La Canada. I will surely then, only go to La Canada for any UPS store service needs I have in the future. Great workers. Given how many people use this location, they are expedient and provide good service. Some people come in with literally 20+ returns and have no clue others are waiting patiently and then they expect "service w a smile." I don't understand the negative reviews here. I've had a PO box at this place for over 20 years and have had great service the entire time. I recently had an issue where a package I had returned had not been received by the vendor. This is the first time I've ever had an issue and the manager went out of his way to look at the store cameras and talk to the vendor about the problem. As a result, I received my refund. I find the employees to be competent and respectful and honestly can't ever remember being treated in a rude fashion. I don't need them to smile all the time and be cheery. I just need my stuff to get where it needs to go and they do a great job with that. I've also had plenty of things notarized here and have never had a complaint about that either. You just call and make an appointment to make sure the notary is there--no big deal. read more

So disappointing. I booked a Notary appointment online at 9am, and even received a confirmation email. When I arrived, the employee at the counter told me the Notary would not be in until 2:30pm, and he did not know why it "let you book on line since our Notary is just walk in". Wow. I asked when the Store Manager would be in, since it should be their responsibility to communicate with corporate to ensure that didn't happen, and the poor guy at the counter said. This UPS store is literally one minute from my house, but I will do just about anything to avoid going here. The employees are the most rude people I have encountered in a long time. My wife and I went to this location as she was able to schedule an appointment for 10am on a Saturday to see the Notary in store and the scheduling was pretty easy. We drove down to this location and there is a bit of a line but nothing out of the ordinary for this horribly understaffed location. After waiting in for line less than 10 minutes, my wife and I walk up to the counter where a heavy set man with a beard was going to help us. My wife let him know that we were there to see the notary and he stated that "we don't have one here". When she mentioned to him that she able to book an appointment online, he yelled out in front of all the staff at her face and said "CAN'T YOU SEE I'M BUSY!" Never in our lives have we encountered such horrible customer service and we will NEVER go to this location again. I am advising everyone reading this to steer clear of this location if you want to be treated professionally because you will not be getting that kind of service here. Shame on you UPS store owner for hiring such crappy staff. read more

Unfortunately, each time I go to this store the staff are just horrible. Besides being rude, they All are very condescending. They are extremely slow with their shipping services and should you need to process Amazon returns, I suggest you go elsewhere because once again, the staff acts as if you, the customer, are doing them a favor. Stay away from this location as you'll leave upset and annoyed; Or like me, I left because the man told me he was busy handling and processing a package for shipping and my wait would be at least 15 minutes! After calling and no one answered the phone I drove up to this store. There was a younger looking lady there and also a young man there as well , they let me use there dolly and I got my six boxes 18" x 14" x 12" out of my car and into the store. Right away the lady was saying that it is going to cost a lot to ship the boxes, they weighed about 20 pounds each, I told her that is fine and a lot safer than me driving up north to Redding, California. She went to enter the address and claimed that it was not coming up in their system and I ship stuff there in the past and it made it there. So I had to put the six boxes back into my car. I then called my mom and dad and told them what was happening and they explained to me that the UPS Store I went to is not actually a real authentic UPS STORE, but they are allowed to put that name on there as if they are, but actually they shipped stuff out for FED EX as well and that I either need to go to the main UPS on Arroyo in Sylmar or go to the main FED EX in Sun Valley. So on Monday on Martin Luther King day I went to the FED EX and told them what happened and the man there put in the address and said no problem and the six boxes can be shipped by ground trucking and be there by Thursday for $174.00 My mom called on Wednesday and told me that they had received the six boxes. I highly recommend going to the main FED EX in Sun Valley on 11340 Sherman Way, Sun Valley, CA. 91352 this place has plenty of parking and they have carts and people to help you. read more

Constantly over-crowded due to being understaffed. Literally just walked out after seeing 20 people in line, 20 minutes after opening time. One employee working. There was no room to even comfortably stand inside the store itself. This has consistently been my experience here at this location on many occasions. And I finally feel compelled to write a review. From what I can tell, it seems like 95% of the people in line are there for Amazon returns. Why does it take so long to scan a QR code? This is insanity. I appreciate the convenient location, but it is clear that most of the employees here do not give much of AF. One shouldn't really expect more, and i get it from the type of establishment this is. However, I have to imagine one of the biggest money generators for the UPS store these days is the contract they have with Amazon to make returns easy. However, instead of the employees appreciating that relationship, there is one guy, that outwardly makes snyde comments to everyone when you bring in the Amazon returns. "More Shit for Bezos" "F Bezos" "Amazon is killing the planet" "Buy local." It goes on and on. I do get it, and some of the customers even chime in agreeing with the guy. However, it just isn't necessary. I know that you probably spend 90% of your day taking Amazon returns, but the store is being compensated for it, and this is just part of the business model. Don't bite the hand that feeds you. I'm shocked that this is acceptable, but for the wages that UPS store probably pays, and the options of employees available, I get it. Man, I didn't think I would ever place a review for a store front like this but holy moly. It's 9:58, I'm seated in my car after dropping a package off at this here UPS. I brought a box with me, with three items in there, even thought through the Amazon return system I selected drop off without a package. Just the kind of nice guy I am :) This guy here working , probably had the worst attitude, for someone that just scans and prints receipts for customers. His eyes looked like he just inhaled helium, no customer service, no hello goodbye, no nothing. Living breathing Frankenstein. I offered to leave him the box it came with and his response was "it doesn't need a box" in the most uncharismatic way. I'm not sure what the problem is, but I would recommend a gym membership, some sleep, and maybe a shot of energy for that man. read more

I have gone to this location in La Crescenta numerous times in the last month. The lady, who I understand is the owner, is inevitably bagging returns and slapping labels on them while the line is continuing to grow out the door with only one other clerk on duty. Really frustrating! I have now taken to putting a label on the return and taking it to the UPS/FEDEX/mail box store on the corner of Montrose Ave and Verdugo (by the liquor store) where the fairly new owner is so nice and willing to help. Been going since I was in college about 2-3 years ago when I was hustling and shipping off sold products through UPS and Jose who works there until this day is super helpful and kind. Shipping is not always going to be cheap, but he offered me advice on going on the ups app for any coupons available to ship my belongings across the country since I am moving out of state. Never had a problem here, highly recommend if you need a reliable place to ship your packages. read more

Came here to return some stuff from our baby shower, through Amazon. I didn't know for sure if I was supposed to box & label the items bcuz there was an option to box & an option to not. I asked a guy with long hair & glasses, if I was supposed to box them and he asked to see my label. I showed him & stated in a rude way "says it right there, no box, no label, etc.." which honestly wasn't necessary. A simple no would have been fine. I was in need to have some documents scanned and prior to my actual need date I stopped by and inquired if the store provides this service and was told yes and was given a price. On the day I needed the actual service I went to the store only to be told they don't offer that service. The signage in the store, the website and an employee all indicated this service is available when it is not. Now I understand why this location gets such bad reviews. I explained a particular problem I previously had with a package and he was combative, dismissive, and arrogant. I asked that my printed return label be put on my package to ensure that it would be returned (my package and printed label were sitting on a shelf separately and I didn't want any inadvertent mistakes like the previous times!!!). He just argued with me that my previous issues were impossible to have happened!! Guess what he did not stick my label on my package. I hate to write a review about an employee but wow this was by far one of the rudest and unpleasant employees I have ever seen. I think he might've had long hair, wears a mask. He looks like he hates his job. Very monotone, No customer service, no communication skills whatsoever. He was so depressing to watch and see how he interacted with customers. Even a customer that called he was so depressing on the phone. I'm sure I'm not the only one that's encountered him. He should NOT be working in customer service. UPS clearly needs to retrain him or put him in the back so he doesn't have to interact with humans because he clearly doesn't seem to know how. I could see how uncomfortable the older lady was (that he was helping (or lack thereof) She muttered something under her breath on her way out. Same way with me, depressing interaction. Customer service is awful here. The male cashier with long curly hair has a terrible attitude. Was dropping off a package and asked the worker where I could put it. He said "over there" without pointing anywhere so I left it on the counter in front of the other worker. I like going to the UPS Store if I have to make a copy of something, but I was disappointed this time because I wasn't able to due to their copier wasn't working. Thank goodness the guy at the register was able to make a copy for me. They sell office supplies which can come in handy. Plenty of free parking in a shared parking lot. read more

While there are many great customer service people in this store, my rating comes from the consistent experience from one individual. The man I'm speaking of consistently disparages Amazon and general waste consistently. I'll leave his name out of it since I am sure management knows who is being spoken of. This individual has used profanity many times in my and my wife's experience. And when apologizing for it, he justifies why he did it. Further, he misleads his customers when selling boxes. Telling them the price of a box is X when it is really the price of the box plus a service fee, instead of telling them the box is X and if you want me to box it up, it is an X service fee... This is misleading and depending on how many people they do this to daily, there seems to me for potential Class Action Lawsuits. I highly recommend this store coach and train the staff to leave personal animosity towards their business partners to themselves and recommend they train their staff to accurately represent costs they are charging to their customers. Would hate to see any small business have to deal with a legal situation. Best of luck in your experience here and keep an eye out for what you are truly being charged for. read more

I was in this particular store over the weekend. I've been here many times and never have had any issues in 10+ years. Yesterday there was an employee working that was on the verge of being rude. If your QR code was not for the item you were shipping back She would get upset. Kind of scold you like a school teacher telling you what to do. I'm weighing in on Beardboy. (He is the tall thin dark blonde guy with glasses and a longer beard.) He needs to be fired. Every time I bring a package in and ask for proof of mailing, he says "You don't need that. Our receipts are printed on expensive paper and it's bad for the environment." I didn't want to tell him I was shipping an item valued over $1,000, so I repeated my request and that I was concerned that it could get lost in shipping. Even with a long line of people behind me, he didn't want to give me a receipt. When I raised my voice and demanded a receipt, and told him that my reasoning was none of his business, he finally gave me one. This is the closest UPS to my home, so I went back with two Amazon returns the next week. He tried to argue again. He told me it was my fault for not understanding that once I drop off an Amazon return, I could just check the Amazon site for acknowledgment of the return. So I said it... "I DON'T KNOW THAT UPS or YOU WILL ACTUALLY SEND IT BACK AND NOT STEAL IT OR LOSE IT!!" He had no answer for that and gave me a receipt. The problem is that when I looked at it in the car, it was for only one package. I went back in and he told me he made a mistake and gave me someone else's scanned item's receipt. He's never bothered me again, but my blood pressure rises just watching him argue with other customers. Listen Beardboy- you are a child with no life experience. Save your indignation for real issues. Stop badgering UPS customers about receipts that your employer is providing. Stop insulting Amazon and make something more of yourself if you are that miserable at your job. We just want to ship our packages. We are NOT interested in your social commentary. Dropped a package off on the 21st at 2629 Foothill Blvd UPS Store. Got back a receipt with no tracking number. I made several calls to track my package later in the week. I was informed my tracking number that I recieved from them today, (7 days later) was invalid. I called back this location where I dropped off my item, now 7 days later they tell me they never sent out my item, because they never added a tracking number when I dropped off the item 7 days earlier. I should have looked at the receipt more carefully upon intially leaving the store a week ago. I won't be using this location anymore due to incompetent workers that are unsure/inexperienced/making mistakes at working at a UPS store. read more
