I avoid this place as much as possible but one day (3/30/26 around 5pm) I had to print documents last minute. The printer preview showed the entire document but when it was printed, the bottom part of the document was cut off. I asked the store manager (latino short man) about the issue and he quickly and curtly replied "it's because your document is jpg and not pdf. Jpg gets cut off always" as if I would know this. There are absolutely no signs indicating the jpg printouts error. I asked if I could get refunded for the page that came out wrong and he replies "yeah it's not worth me arguing with you." Ok... first off, I wasn't being difficult but simply asking him a question and I wonder had I been a male, would he have talked to me in the same way. Such a rude and distasteful encounter. I asked the store cashier if he's the store manager and he confirmed that he is. What a shame as that is the type of disrespectful and presumptuous attitude from the management. First, I would love to do a shout out to the manager to let them know we had one of the best experiences at your Office Depot. We had moved away and were back in town and decided to visit the La Crescenta branch. My husband and I were lost due to some changes and then all of a sudden out of another isle this fabulous young man, Jake came out from one of the isles and asked if we needed any help. This was after a couple of other employees walked by us and seemed to be working hard...so they were unable to help us. That's ok we can not always expect others to drop everything and wait on us. Jake was amazing, polite, knew the entire store and where everything was. He helped us find what we needed quickly and we thanked him. I told him he was just the type of professional that I would hire to work for me. He's amazing and we expect to see him advance quickly. Thank you for hiring good employees, especially Jake. Every time I visit this location the employees are knowledgeable & courteous, and I am in & out in minimal time. For reference, I've moved from another state and applied for an IL DL, transferred a CA title to IL title with new registration, and transferred a CA title to IL title with transfer of IL registration.....all with zero issues. I did need to leave and go to a notary for one of the transactions, but that because of the title specs I wanted. They gave me the necessary paperwork to take with me and have notarized. DL business requires an appointment which is super-easy to make on line. Title and registration business can walk in. There are separate lines for each service. There's plenty of parking. Absolutely the worst printing store experience I've had. Jerry, in the print department, is rude, dismissive, and failed to complete my order, an order I've had printed there a dozen times before. I called to speak to a manger to rectify the problem, but they were always "unavailable" to talk with me. Took the job to Staples a few minutes away and had no problems. Want to give ZERO star if I can. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!! This is not about the store itself, but soley about the staff named 'MARIA" one middle aged woman who was by far the most rude person I ever met. 8/30/2025 Saturday 11:30am. While I was checking out paying, my daughter was looking at the candies near the register, and there was one lady who was stacking up the candies. All of a sudden that lady told my daugher " Thank you for messing it up!" in a super sarcastic tone of voice. I was shocked and I turned around and asked, "Excuse me?? What did you just say" then she said, Lady: "Oh your daughter was messing up the candies on purpose. " Me: I'm sorry? She was looking at the candies like all kids do here Lady: No. she was messing it up ON PURPOSE! I have been watching her. She was throwing like this!(and she was throwing Skittles bags in the air) Me: So you have been watching her doing that, and instead saying "Oh I'm organizing this so can you put it back", you had to tell her in condescending voice like "Thanks for messing it up?" Lady: I said that and she just left it like that. She didn't organize it back. Me: Of course she couldn't! If you said "I'm organizing it so can you put it back?" then she should have put it back. But you told her in rude voice and If I were her I couldn't have done either!. Did you tell her that because she is a minor? What if 80year old person did the same thing here, and you would tell him the same thing? "Thank you for messing it up!" to him? Lady: You are preassuming now. Me: No! I'm not preassuming anything here. Would you react the same way to 80year old customer as you just did to my minor daughter? (still she didn't apologize so I asked another staff to call the manager) When the manager came over I told the manager what happened, and the lady kept saying the exact same thing like your daughter was messing it up on purpose and she didn't put it back. and you are preassuming now. She just kept going on and on, didn't apologize. and she even said " I don't know where your anger is coming from, but you are just preassuming and your daughter was messing it up. Me: isn't it your job though? organizing all these? and If you see she was messing it up, why didn't you ask her to put it back, instead just keep watching her and telling her Thank you for messing it up? I bet so many young kids were doing the same thing when they are waiting in line and touching the candies and stuff, and will you tell them THANK YOU FOR MESSING IT UP in that tone of voice? Lady: I have never seen any kid were doing that( at this point I got freaking mad) Me: YOU NEVER SEEN ANY KID TOUCHING THE CANDIES?!!!!!(WTF) At that point manager stepped in and told her to apologize, and the lady said "oh then I think I have to apologize" Me: Don't apologize to me! Apologize to my minor daughter! and do it right way! Not like the tone of your voice now "Oh well then I apologize and that that and leave" kind of way. At that point my daughter was half crying and telling THAT PERSON I'm sorry and I told her DO NOT APOLOGIZE TO HER! Me: If you told her " Can you put it back? I'm organizing it now" ,then I WOULD HAVE TOLD MY DAUGHTER "Oh please don't mess up. please put those back". Please PLEASE from next time if you EVER see a kid or 80 year old grandpa messing up with candies, ask them not to, and ask them put it back, INSTEAD OF SAYING "THANK YOU FOR MESSING IT UP!" The lady was giving me those sneering smile all along and that made me madder and can't believe my daughter had an encounter with this rude person. I needed to print a 22x28 inch poster the same day. The website listed the price at $30, which I was okay with since I was in a rush. When I called, the person told me it couldn't be done that day unless I paid double, bringing the total to $60. I said I'd think about it. Then, I contacted another local shop, C&M Printing, and they were able to complete it within 10 minutes for just $5. I understand Office Depot has its pricing, but when you find faster, cheaper service with better customer care elsewhere, it's hard not to feel frustrated with big corporations. read more

My husband had an emergency today when he spilled coffee all over his work laptop. We rushed over to Office Depot to see if their tech department could clean it out. Unfortunately the man he spoke to pronounced it un-salvageable and was not willing to touch it or even look at it. Fortunately we passed by Sam's Computer Repair on the way to Office Depot and decided to take it there as a last ditch effort to save the laptop. They were able to clean it out and YES, the laptop is saved and still works! Went in today to print a few things and buy some stamps. The guy in charge, I'm not sure of his name, he was nice and helped me with my printing but when I went to go buy stamps this young guy named David charged me and then said he'd be right back. He left and I heard him ask the supervisor or manager if he could take his break. I watched him punch out and walk away. The manager then asked me if I had been helped and I said that guy was supposed to give me stamps. He asked if he had already charged me and I said yes. He pulled the stamps out and I asked him if that kid David just charged me and then left, he said "I guess so" and walked away. Two stars because the supervisor/ manager was helpful but that kid David has a shit attitude. Plenty of places hiring pal. If you hate your job at Office Depot go dig some ditches. read more

I was shocked by the lack of knowledge this Office Depot print services dept offered. I simply wanted invitations printed on plain card stock, cut exactly in half. They said their light blew (to laser cutter) and they had to eyeball it, but it was so far off. They tried several times so I helped with the math and how to use a ruler. read more

Came in to buy a 27" Dell monitor that I saw online on their site. Took a while, but eventually I found where they had them. The shelf was bare but it had a price tag. There was a line at checkout, and no one seemed to care about me as a customer, walking around intently searching for a $200 item. So I left, went home and ordered one from Amazon instead. The most helpful Office Depot you will ever go to. I ordered an item online at the Office Depot in Montebello because they didn't have the item I needed. When the item got to my house, it was the wrong item. The package says to do returns in store so I went to an Office Depot in LA and they said they didn't know how to do returns. How is that possible? I finally went to the Office Depot in La Crescenta to try and do the return and unfortunately the cashier didn't know how to do returns, but he said he would ask his Manager. The Manager Nelson was so helpful because he taught the cashier how to do the return and made sure that it went through correctly. I normally go to this store and should have from the start! This is one of the biggest locations I have ever visited. They honestly have everything you could need. They also have an IT department if you're having any technical issues. Their section of office furniture is huge and always has pretty good sales! Sign up for their mailing list and they always send out coupons. No need to worry about parking. They have a huge lot. read more

I'm not huge on Office Depot, but I usually come here if I have to print something. So this review is based more on printing than it is on anything else. The printing staff is usually super nice. They have an email address that you can email the document to for them to print the document. They usually print it quickly and you're in and out of there. It works for me and I've never had an issue with it! read more

I've had several bad experiences here in the recent past, all of which involved bratty, rude teenage male employees. I've worked in retail; I know it's annoying to have a customer come up to you on a break, but if you're "on a break" standing with another coworker (who also just happens to be on break??) standing behind a cash register, don't snap and tell the person you're both on a break, turn you're back, and snub them. The right thing to do is say "Hey, I'm on a break, let me grab a coworker to help you." Not that hard. read more

Harout went above and beyond to help me today. I have a printer that I suspect is cursed and never end up using because I have trouble figuring out how to change the ink and if I'm getting the right ink. I know I should know more about the basics of how to use a printer but Wow was I lost without the help of this Office Depot. Not only did Harout help me, but he wasn't trying to oversell me on anything and made sure I got the best deal. He even removed and changed the ink for me. Luckily he did because when he opened the ink cartridge it started leaking and was faulty. I feel bad that he got ink all over his hands but I'm so glad he did that because we were able to swap it out for a working one right then. And by we, I mean Harout who did all the work. He signed me up for rewards at Office Depot so I could get yet another discount and now I don't think I could go anywhere else for my office needs. Take that online stores. This is the worst Office Depot location I have ever encountered... 1) I went inside the store yesterday to exchange something and the employee was a girl who was very rude and with an attitude. This place has zero customer service. The workers barely talk to you and if they do.. They're not nice AT ALL. 2) I went inside the store again today twice.. Once in the afternoon and another during the evening. Both times were HORRIBLE. The first encounter was with an extremely rude girl employee with short hair who literally could not be bothered to help. I asked to exchange an item for something else and she gave me an attitude and told me to get it myself and bring it to the register... After telling her I don't know where it is can you go get it for me.. She does not even respond and simply rolls her eyes and gets it. The best part is while she comes back and rings me up she does everything with an attitude! 3) Now for the second time today I walked into the store.. The man helping me literally could not find the item I was looking for and said they don't have that there. I had bought the same item earlier during the day so that made zero sense. In addition, he asks his manager and the manager says they have never seen that item there. He tells me to wait as he goes to check it in the back.. I waited and waited and he did not EVER come back. I got to the point where I was extremely annoyed and told the girl at the other register to call him back there. She tells somebody to come but it was not the same man. instead some other guy comes up and rings me up. I got no apology for waiting that long simply nothing. NEVER WILL STEP FOOT BACK IN HERE. I had recently bought a LaserJet Pro M254DW (costly laser printer). Within 30 days, the machine somehow broke and toner exploded all over the place! I didn't have my receipt, so I came in and just talked to one of the guys and he said bring it in anyway. Long story short, he switched it out without having a receipt. I think it was really kind of the man to do this. The machine costs over $400 but he went out of his way without my receipt being made available. Doesn't say anything about that on coupon. I'm there, I need ink. WTF. Checkout I learn that the price is $20 (as in TWENTY US DOLLARS) higher than anywhere else. $72 vs $52.
