I must confess, I haven't used a lot of printing places in my time and this was the first time I made a banner in my life, but based on feedback of price and quality, I was recommended to give La Canada Printsmith & Graphics a try. Ratings on Yelp seemed pretty good so I gave them a shot. I called in my order and their ability to answer the phone could be improved. The call itself otherwise was fine. I explained what I needed and they told me what I should send to them in order to get the process going. After I hung up, I realized we hadn't settled on a price. I sent in my PDF which came out a bit funky from the Word document I created so I sent a screen grab and a few other pieces of information via email. When I didn't receive a response after a day, I called to see if they received the order and they confirmed they had it and it would be done 3 days from the day I placed the order. 3 days later, I called to see what time I could come and pick up the banner. I was put on hold for quite awhile and then someone else came on the phone and explained that the banner wouldn't be done for another week. No explanation as to why. I'm guessing they forgot to do it. I call the next week a couple days into the week and they again were unsure of the order and then put on hold and then yes, it would be ready Thursday. Okay. I came to pick up the banner. The storefront is not attractive inside. No biggie, it's a printing shop. They were fairly disorganized, but the banner looked amazing, and the price was really good. Not sure if I was discounted due to the delay since we never discussed the price. All in all, I'd probably suggest an overhaul on their customer service, but I was very satisfied with the banner. read more

Owner Jason Sarceda gives personal service that you won't find at the large chain print places. My order was small but important to me (for a family wedding) and he went out of his way to meet my deadline and the end result was beautiful. Prices are extremely reasonable too. Mediocre printing. Bad customer service. This seems to be the trend at every printing store in La Canada.

Took 2 months to get my business cards That I supplied the art work for and they kept changing it around mixing the colors and the font. It was so bad. I went to another company in Pasadena that got me my business cards in 3 days charged me $30 and I got 1,200 cards and they were better quality than the cards I got from print Smith. And on top of that print Smith charged me a ton of fees for the art work I DID. and I could never get in touch with them. 2 months to get cards unbelievable. And then they delivered them and left them out side with an invoice attached. Then after telling me they would pick up the check from my business which Sat on my station for 6 months no one ever came by to pick it up like they said multiple times On the phone and emails. But that did not stop the other person who works there harassing me about payment after 4 months. I finally just mailed The check to them to quit hearing about how they would pick it up next week or the week after. HORRIBLE ARTISTS AND EVEN WORSE CUTOMER SERVICE. I'm shocked there still open. read more

As a small business myself, I always look to use other small business for my peripheral needs like printing. I recently relocated to La Canada and needed some promo material printed. I saw the local print shop and decided to support them. A very small job was promised in 2 days but without even a phone call, turned into 7 days; and then the order was not just a little incorrect, but completely in left field from what was ordered. I arrived on the promised day of delivery and no one even knew what or where the order was. I arrived 2 days later as instructed and again, the order was not ready; technical difficulties was the reasoning. I arrived on the 7th day and the order was ready; but it was the wrong order. They did however manage to email me an invoice very promptly after the print job was refused. Although they seem to me nice people, the service quality if a zero. I would not risk it if you need your printing quickly. I went to FedEx and for $10 more it was done in an hour. read more
