Was physically assaulted by Assistant Manager Al this morning. Their self serve copying email wasn't working. The woman working the register was very nice and tried to help with no traction. So I logged in with my google drive, which also didn't work. When employee Evelyn walked by, I asked her to help to clear the cache of my personal information, and she told me it was, except it wasn't because my credit card was still active. When I told her I needed the machine powered off to clear the cache of my personal information, she walked away and said "go ahead". I told her I could not find the power button, but Evelyn did not help. So I saw the plugs of the copy machines and started pulling them out, when I was body checked by Assistant Manager Al. I have a heart condition. Check your in-store surveilance tapes for that behavior and lack of assistance. Those two employees need retraining. And let's talk about legal action. read more

There's an older lady that works here at the cashier, very standoffish. She looked bothered that she had to help me and she didn't greet me nicely at all. When she helped the man behind me her whole attitude changed, she was being very nice to him. Not sure what her issue was but fix ur attitude lady. Convenient location! Just wished they stayed open a little longer on Sundays (but I understand as an employee, I would not want to work late on Sundays). While I was grabbing some office supplies from this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is decent. Not too big nor too small. Doesn't get full quickly. I went online to find a file cabinet with very specific height dimensions, and after looking everywhere else, decided to look at Office Depot, where I found what I was looking for and purchased online. I was notified it would be ready for pick up five minutes later, and I received a $10 discount for picking it up in person. When I arrived, I headed straight in towards the middle of the store, where I figured they may have some Fireproof Document "Safes", I could look at. I was greeted by store by employee Danny, who was walking the opposite direction, so I asked him if there were any fireproof document safes, which he pointed me to. After obtaining a shopping carting from the front of the store for the document safe, I was looking at an end aisle display at a couple hard drives. Danny happened to be walking from up front towards the back and asked me again if there was anything he could help me with. I asked him if the store had any other hard drives I could look at. He walked me to the hard drives section. Before he walked away I showed him my In Store Order Pickup slip and asked him if I should give it to him, or wait until I went to the front counter to buy the safe and hard drive. He looked at my paper, the item type, my name and said, "I'll get it ready for you and it will be at the checkout when your ready". I thanked him again. When I got to the check out, Danny came to the front to assist the cashier in retrieving the hard drive I was purchasing from the store closet, then dollied out the file cabinet to my vehicle to help me load the safe and file cabinet. I hadn't said anything, but I had previously hurt my shoulder doing some work a few weeks earlier and had been concerned about loading the file cabinet alone. So not having to ask, was a really big positive for this particular shopping experience. My past experiences with the store at this location, had been unimpressive and had led me to making my office and business purchases at a competitor across town whenever possible for the past ten years. Even though I believe their competitor has a better floor layout and generally friendlier employees, as well as more employees, I have to admit, I never had this kind of customer service or assistance at the competitor before. I couldn't have gotten better customer service anywhere else and since I was spending a lot of money, that's helps me feel better about those purchases and my decision to shop at this Office Depot. read more

I needed a paper shredder, but the store didn't have it in stock so I ordered it online. The package arrived 5 days later, but instead of a paper shredder, a 4-foot tall bluetooth karaoke speaker was delivered. I called and was connected with a company called Veyer industry that claims to deliver 97.58% next day and to use AI for its logistics. Today, November 8, 12 days after I ordered it, the Veyer industry rep emailed to say that it could not deliver the shredder. I'm waiting to hear what they intend to do about the bluetooth speaker, which is just taking up space in my living room. This is the worst buying experience I have ever had. read more

This Office Depot has a large selection of things... wait for it... that I actually need for the office that I can't find at OfficeMax and Staples. The latter two I visited this week in search of report binders, but selection was sparse as the back-to-school moms cleared them out. This Office Depot is pretty dependable and I found exactly what I was looking for and in the quantity I needed (25+). To contrast other reviewers, the customer service here was excellent and very helpful. They even have a mobile station to edge cut and 3-hole punch which came in very handy. Big box stores aren't for everyone, but this spot is actually worth stopping by in a pinch. read more

I stopped by to print a document via the self service. The place was clean and there were many machines for self service. There is a small parking lot but amp amount of street parking as well. No issues, a easy way to print something. It was $0.15 per page for black and white printing. Opt to do your own self service printing or they will charge you for help from one of the workers. Definitely cheaper than going to a UPS or FedEx for your printing needs! read more

My boyfriend ordered me a new office desk for my birthday and it was literally the last one in stock. Cecilia, the manager I believe, is super attentive and understanding of the hassles of ordering and shipping furniture ! She made sure we were comfortable with our purchase and the process of having the heavy glass desk shipped to our home without worrying that it would be mishandled nor would we be caught off by surprise. Some places don't call or text to let you know they are on their way to your home so you're basically held hostage. This wasn't the case with Cecilias help. I would definitely recommend you come to this location if you want a less stressful furniture ordering experience. read more

I went in for a cable that the website said they sold. No one asked me if I needed help at all. I finally asked the clerk at the register. While he was nice, he didn't know what I was talking about, so asked me to show him on my phone. He still didn't know so he asked a tall, heavy set, bald guy with glasses. That guy rudely says, "What are you trying to do?? Cuz most people don't know what they want." I told him I knew what I wanted, to which he rudely replied, "Well, we don't sell that in this store!" This location is continually horrible and I only went because it was close. If you want great customer service, go to Staples on Colorado and Rosemead. I found what I needed at a cheaper price. Horrible experience purchasing a graduation present. They advertised a laptop on sale and I purchased to be delivered. A few hours later I get a phone call from the warehouse saying they only had it as an open item and I told them I paid for a new item. So I return to the store to sort this out and the manager tells me I will get a new laptop delivered. 2 days past the delivery confirmation I find out the laptop never arrived because it was back ordered and that they couldn't tell me when it would be available. Extremely unprofessional. I'll never ever purchase anything from Office Depot again. I cancel the order and they told me I wouldn't get my money back until a week later. This was a debit transaction. Horrible experience. No graduation gift for my son and no money back in my account. read more

If an out-dated, legacy big box store is going to compete and survive in 2019 in the American market, it needs to provide a value in some way that competitors (ie online) can't. But when it bundles individual items that can only be purchased in a $20-30 bulk pack, and does not sell them individually, they push me to use online suppliers or mom and pop shops even more. Congratulations to the staff that diligently uphold this store's policies, policies that I predict will spell the chain's demise within one year. I have officially switched to online orders for office supplies as of tonight and placed a decent sized order for misc supplies as well as my 2 file boxes I needed. When I absolutely need something same day, I will visit the red logo competitor that does a great job with same day business cards, and recommend you do too. read more

I came here looking for an office chair, and had an interest at looking for a paper shredder. I've done minimal research going into this, and just wanted to browse along and see what's available. So I had low expectations of what I would learn that day to inform me of my purchases. And I didn't expect to buy anything, instead I was only there to look. Then, I met the worker there, David. David was a tremendous help! Very friendly! Extremely patient, easy going, and told me exactly how he feels about the proper chair that would fit me and my build, and my ailments with my posture. He had me try out some chairs that he thought would help me out, and, it definitely made the choice of selecting a chair that much easier. Without David, I probably would still be at square one, and Id still very much be in that ever-lasting research phase. With David, it turned into the I'm ready to buy phase. David is what got me there. The same goes for the paper shredder. Office Depot has a line up of about 10 or so different paper shredders. And that many choices always makes my buy decision a bit difficult and time consuming, since I cant always decide so easily which to buy. In less than 5 minutes, I confidently chose the right one for me and my needs, because of David's extremely helpful guidance and advice, and understanding of what I needed. He broke down the pros and cons for each, and made the choice easy for the one that suits me. I walked out of Office Depot with exactly what I need, all thanks to David. Without him, I'm absolutely sure I'd still be looking and would have walked out empty handed. So my review is for David, my 5 stars go to him - tremendous help, easy to talk to, enjoyable guy, and made my visit to Office Depot an absolute success. I will come back again. I came in a few weeks ago for specific items such as HP 4x6 photo paper & HP ink. My target didn't carry the ink I needed and Office Depot did. I came in on an uneventful weekday and found exactly what I was looking for. No traffic, and ample parking is always a plus. However, locating the items was a different story. I couldn't find an associate anywhere to help assist me in locating photo paper and the specific ink I needed. Aside, from someone working the photo/print station and cashier, there were only maybe 2-3 employees staffed working the entire store. There were aisles of paper, office supplies, postage envelopes, furniture, and decor. It's a large office supply store. I spent a lot of time looking for the items I needed because an associate wasn't available. Save some time, and shop online. read more

Located right next door to an auto repair shop, my husband and I came to this store this afternoon to pick up an on line order. I am pretty surprised to see such a low overall rating of this place (2.5 stars at the time of this review) and wondered why, especially since I had a good experience. When we came into the store, we walked over to the line for the cash register. At the same time, an employee in red asked us if we needed any help. We asked him if this was the line to pick up an on line order. He said he could help us, and so we followed him to the copy service area. He asked me what item I was looking to pick up and then proceeded to ring up my transaction (I had already prepaid on line prior to coming). Service was fast and efficient, have no complaints here. Wouldn't mind coming back here again if I was in the area. As this was our first time at this location and this location being further away from my home, the only reason why I chose to pick up my on line order here was because I was already in Pasadena having lunch and thought it would be easier to choose store pick up instead of waiting to get my item shipped to my house. And with this location being close by, just ended up coming here. By the way, the woman's restroom was clean and adequately stocked with the essentials on this visit. read more

I called Office Depot to get a quote on printing services. Their prices were by far superior over FedEx. The gal I spoke to even told me if I inputted my order online it would be less expensive given that they were not the one's setting up the service. Just for perspective, FedEx quoted me $150 and Office Depot quoted me $70 for the same service. I needed pamphlets and flyers printed for the same day which I placed at 930am and they advised that it would be ready at 7pm. I called the store and explained my urgent need for these and they were able to prioritize my request. They had everything completed by 1130am. Overall, the service and price were great. I'm sad I wasn't able to do my own printing at home but I am grateful Office Depot still offers this simple service. read more

Horrible. I recycled 20 cartridges over two months here and I was hoping to use the $40 in store credit that was promised for Christmas gifts. The store clerks explained the store credit completely wrong to me. Apparently, you have to buy something for $40 with your card and they will mail you a rebate check. I was told I would get the rebate check in the mail in three months. Also, they did not tell me that I had to do this within the months. So my rebate expired. The national chain is not too helpful either. I called and e-mailed about my complaint and they did not respond. read more
