Needed 2 sheets of paper laminated, Jay was quick, friendly and thorough. He asked whether I needed durability & I DID. The sheets were to practice acrylic on, so I'm glad he asked and didn't just assume. Got exactly what I needed and at a price I was happy to pay due to the quality and service. Highly recommend. read more

Print X-press & Copy Center - Heavy laminated, perfect if you need durability. - Printing Services Near Me - Pasadena, California

Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this printing company. First, the print quality was extremely poor. Our original design had a brown/coffee-toned color palette, but their printer produced colors that looked yellow and green instead. They tried printing a tester paper twice and made adjustments, but the colors still did not come even close to matching our original image. If a printing company cannot accurately reproduce basic colors, that is a serious quality issue. The pricing experience was even more frustrating. From the beginning, we clearly told them that the job was TWO-SIDED printing, and we were quoted $0.45 per sheet. Based on that conversation, we understood that $0.45 was the price for each physical sheet printed double-sided. However, after the printing was completed, we were suddenly told that they charge "per printed side," not per sheet. That meant the price became $0.90 per sheet--double what we expected. This should have been explained clearly before printing, especially since they already knew from the beginning that our order was two-sided and quoted based on that. What makes it worse is that this was not even premium or heavy-quality paper. It was basically regular printing paper, similar to what you would expect from a standard office-printing service. Paying $0.90 per sheet for ordinary paper, while also receiving inaccurate colors and poor print quality, is unacceptable in my opinion. Poor print quality, inaccurate color reproduction, and very unclear pricing. 50 sheets cost us 1 whole hour stay there!! Based on my experience, I would not use this company again. read more

Jay was a nice man and very quickly said he could get our job done but I think some finesse was missing in his process. You really need to have longer conversations about exactly what you want and he was a bit preoccupied with another job when we talked. Just a bit casual in the way he works. First of all he didn't discuss paper quality or weight which most printers I have worked with would bring up during your consultation. Additionally we wanted to hard laminate bookmarks, which he tried to talk us out of. But what he didn't do, when he printed the bookmarks is trim them where the design clearly ended before laminating them (and it was not a hard lamination) so all of the bookmarks had a 1/2 inch at the top without design. The design very clearly showed where it stopped but he did not see it or the difference from the end of the design and the bleed. I guess that was something else we needed to be super clear with him about, something that most pros would catch. Finally, he printed our programs on a heavy glossy paper that was not necessary for a program for a memorial luncheon, which made them difficult to fold. I guess I will say, that if you are going to work with Jay, make sure you discuss every single aspect of what you want, paper type and weight, trimming, etc. for every aspect of your print job. In the end, we were able to use what was printed, the program and the bookmarks just weren't exactly what we wanted. Additionally, he asked us to reformat our files and then email them to him but didn't reach out until the next day to let us know that he did not receive the file. I will say once he had the files the work was done the next day. read more

Jay is the best. I have used his sevices many times and each time was not only greatly pleased with the final product, but also the price. I have recommended Jay and his company to many people I know, and would also recommend him to people I don't know. As I tell him, I will never go anywhere else. read more

I seriously cannot thank Jay enough. I needed 6 colored 24x24" boards printed for my architecture final presentation super last minute, and he completely saved me. He was incredibly responsive and helpful during a really stressful situation, and even helped get my prints done before the shop officially opened because I needed them before 8 AM. No other printing company I contacted was available that early on a Saturday, and Jay went out of his way to help me out. The prints came out great and the customer service was honestly amazing. If you're an architecture student or anyone needing quality printing with great customer service, I highly recommend this place. read more

Amazing customer service! I'll be coming here from now on for my fax and printing needs. They made my experience a breeze. I originally went to FedEx to fax a document and when I asked for assistance they rudely said it was self service. I then called Staples and Office Depot and was given the same response. Support local businesses instead! read more

Amazing service from Jay! He truly went above and beyond for us in a desperate time of need. We needed to print out 150 pieces by Monday morning and it was already Sunday evening. Staples and other big companies were either closed, wanted double the price and told us it will be done until the following business day. This is a great place if you don't really care about order. They do great work and can be very quick, but everything seems a bit chaotic if there's more than one person there at a time. I can't stress enough that it's a great spot to get your print work done at, just be prepared for a bit of wonderment while waiting for your turn to get your work done. The value is almost unmatched in the area, and you'll probably never be unsatisfied with the work. But the flow of how business moves with more than one person might make you scratch your head while waiting, but more than likely you'll leave a happy customer that'll return in the future. read more

Jay is a super nice guy! Went in to get invitations and RSVP cards printed and got it done within 30 minutes. Great place to get it done quick, not the best quality but gets the job done. Prices were a bit more than what I expected but I just wanted to get things printed to send out. Rating is more of a 3.5 stars but rounded up. read more

I found myself at this spot while looking for a place to get a custom printing job done...on a budget. I needed multiple scientific journal articles printed with some pages in color, then bound into a spiral book. I got this done at a fraction of the price of what was offered through FedEx and The gentleman who runs this place is friendly and approachable. He's like a chill neighborhood uncle. He got my job done with all its unique quirks. I was willing to forgo lots of things (have things printed all black and white), but the gentleman running the place offered to get everything done exactly the way I wanted. Excellent customer service. 5/5, 10/10, A+! read more

This place is open when others aren't! The guy running the place is very friendly. Printing is quick, though I will say that, depending on print size, the paper quality may not be what you're expecting. Call and double check before! read more

An absolute gem of a local business! I needed to get about 300 pages scanned, and after calling around to the big chain office stores, I was absolutely floored. They were quoting me anywhere from 65 cents to $1.00 PER PAGE -- meaning I'd be paying close to $300 just to scan a document. Outrageous! I was seriously considering just buying my own scanner when I found Print X-press Copy Center and decided to give them a call. That's when everything changed. Mr. Rostamain not only quoted me a super reasonable price -- just 10 cents a page -- but he also had the ENTIRE job done in less than 10 minutes. I honestly couldn't believe it. Quick, professional, kind, and incredibly affordable. This was such a refreshing reminder of why it's so important to support local businesses. Not only did I save a ton of money, but I also got excellent, personalized service from someone who clearly cares about their work and their customers. If you're thinking about going to one of the big chains for printing, scanning, or copying services -- STOP. Do yourself (and your wallet) a favor and check out Print X-press first. You'll be glad you did. Highly, highly recommended! read more

We had an amazing experience working with Jay on our printing project. He successfully printed our design on 300+ pages of very thick watercolor paper that we provided. Something that's surprisingly hard to find, as many print shops don't accommodate customer-supplied materials. Jay was more than up to the challenge. The entire process, from design setup to the fast turnaround time, was smooth and efficient. His customer service from start to finish was truly exceptional. 100% will be using them again for future print projects! read more

Great experience with Print X-Press & Copy Center. They came in very handy on a Sunday when I needed some stickers printed on short notice. The owner was extremely helpful in helping me find the right size for my images and got everything done quickly and professionally. The pricing was also very reasonable, much cheaper than several other places I contacted that wanted to charge a lot more. Fast service, great customer support, and fair prices. I would definitely recommend them and will be returning for future printing needs. read more

ALWAYS GET A PRICE PRIOR TO HAVING WORK DONE HERE. do not trust the price on the web site. this place has a integrity issue. you have been warned. the copies where fine. my heart goes out to this small business with a owner with health problems. I needed to send an urgent fax. I first went to the big name store, which was charging $2.49 a page. That would be pretty much $50 for my 20 page fax! I called Print X-Press and was quoted $15! Jay treated me like a lamp post when I walked in to inquire about printing a single high quality art print. At first I thought he was hard of hearing, or pausing to consider my questions, but it became apparent that he simply didn't want to engage with me. I had a few simple questions about cropping and paper quality, and rather than converse, he would just slowly turn his back to me without a word. This happened enough times that I finally said "have a nice day" and walked out. Huh??? What just happened? Last I checked, I'm a fully visible and audible human being. read more

Although this review is a bit later than promised, I wanted to share my experience with Jay and the printing center services. Recently, Los Angeles hosted a women's half marathon with thousands of participants. Being the last minute guy that I am, I wanted to surprise my participant with custom signs that would put the biggest smile on her face. In my search for a local printing service, I came across Jay. After a quick phone call where I tried (somewhat poorly) to explain my vision, Jay patiently worked with me in person for nearly an hour, adjusting designs and sizes until everything was just right. In that time, I not only learned a bit about design, but also about Jay himself--his warmth, generosity, and deep love for the community. I discovered that Jay came to California 30 years ago, drawn by the sunshine and beaches, and has since built a loving family and a business rooted in care and connection. As a bonus, his prices were even better than the big-name competitors like FedEx and UPS. Jay, thank you for your professionalism and for staying true to your values. Your presence in the community is truly appreciated. Go Tritons! read more

If you ever need high quality and low cost printing and copying, look no more. Print X-Press is one of the best if not THE best print shop in the area. This place is very convenient to PCC students if they need to print their homework. Starting at THREE, yes that's right, THREE cents per page, it's amazing! Compared to other places, they charge at least 10 cents per page. Incredible pricing. If you are printing hundred of pages, you will save 70% compared to the competition. The owner here, Jay, is patient and great. He was able to print out the documents I needed quickly and with precision. Not only can he print, he can also make copies. Small oddly shaped to large sizes, this shop can handle it. This place can also print large posters same day. You are not limited on the type of media to get your printing done, you can email it to the shop, bring a usb, or bring the physical copy. The paper used at this shop is top notch, it's a smooth kind and not cheap rough paper. The print came out great. The printer is definitely industrial grade and it's huge! Parking for this place is easy as there's street parking and also a parking lot in the back. Don't need to worry about parking. This place accepts credit card as well. 5/5, would come back for my printing needs. The only "con", and this is extremely nit picking, is that it's warm inside as there's no AC. But you're in and out quickly and the lack of AC is a non-issue. read more

I called ahead and asked if he could print a copy of a photograph for me on photo paper. He said yes I drove all the way over there.
