i broke a n.e.r.d. brain clock because the recent rain created enough humidity for the heavy adhesives to slide off the wall. while i was fortunate only the outer bulb broke, i did not get anywhere trying to find information regarding repair or replacement from the official store. "alexa play 'sooner or later' by n.e.r.d" "neon sign repair" isn't necessarily a popular search on yelp, but after a couple of calls i found this place and explained my situation to nick and stella. i already understood that if a repair was possible, that it would be custom and take time. while the price quote made me wish i doubled as an electrical engineering major (joking), i ensured i was willing to wait in between update e-mails. around three weeks later, i picked up the clock and used a screw to hang it, having learned my lesson. so far, it's been cathartic knowing the clock sits working as intended instead of sitting damaged in styrofoam and cardboard in purgatory. thank you.

A Thoughtful Collective.

Signarama Pasadena is a great partner. They were very patient with me and answered all of my questions. Nico was extremely helpful with selecting the right signage for my new store front.

More jagged edges

Everyone please scroll down and read Johannes' review... this is the truth and I just had the same experience. Wish I had checked reviews prior to placing a large and very critical print order for an exhibition with them. I was referred to them by the gallery, attaching text... "I just want to stress what a terrible job you did delivering this order... in every way. Nearly everything was damaged or had some issue. The whole top edge of the (redacted) print is completely chewed up. The prints should have been checked prior to wrapping, though I'm guessing you did that to conceal the issues. And the large prints should have had edge protectors. Period. The fact that you are trying to blame me, the schedule, the price, etc. is laughable. There is no angle where it is my fault that the prints weren't handled properly. None. This is not how to run a business. You not only pissed me off, but (redacted) as well, who was referring a lot of clients to you, me included. It would have cost you very little to redo the damaged prints -- the file was already ripped, you already have the stock, and that foamcore is cheap as hell. The misprint should have been redone before being mounted... seriously how did nobody notice that? Instead of do the right thing you lost easily $20-50K in future business. Was it worth it?" First, they tried to charge me $285 to drive the order literally down the street, which was insane. Especially since they knew I was local and said delivering to the gallery would not be an issue when we first spoke. My acrylic fabricator drove an entire truckful of boxes from West LA for free. Gold star for them. So I lost a day having to sort pick up -- which, again, I didn't think I'd have to do -- then saw that everything was damaged the day before the show opened. Smushed corners, jagged edges, misprints, etc. Everything was entombed in shrinkwrap so I only saw the damaged corners at first, but most of the prints had problems. No edge protection. When I complained and asked them to redo it or at the very least offer a discount for the errors and issues I was met with escalating argument from the owner... suddenly it's my fault that they misprinted or mishandled the art. They clearly only care about getting your money. And I'm sure Stella is going to rage here, saying she offered to fix it. Lol. She offered to cut the damage off, which was not an option as the art was output to a very specific size to align with the wall text, graphics, etc. Sorry, but the ONLY acceptable offer was to redo the damaged work or refund. Zero accountability. UPDATE: In response to their comments below, all of the damage to these prints was pre-existing underneath a thick layer of shrinkwrap. They had wrapped them prior to my arrival for pick-up and given the delays over the delivery I did not have time to unwrap them all, inspect, and rewrap the prints for transport. I noticed the damaged corners at their shop and asked for them to redo, which they refused. The prints all had damage upon inspection back at the gallery. Uneven edges, etc. This damage did not occur driving them two miles as, again, it was under the protective wrap and there was zero opportunity for such damage to occur. It happened during mounting or handling BEFORE the prints were wrapped. The fact that they are gaslighting now is amazing. They are also now refusing to output the last files for the job because I complained. Lol. Good riddance!

In the past, I've used an out-of-state company to make our studio's signs because I've always ordered vinyl banners that can be rolled and shipped easily. This time, I needed a larger sign that can't be rolled it would be difficult to ship so I did a search for a local sign company and found Signarama. I'm so thrilled that I did!! They are a franchise to location so they have the resources of a huge company but feel like a small, local company when you're working with them. The sign I bought is perfect, the price was excellent, and the customer service can't be beat. They are my new sign company for every type of sign.

Signarama did an excellent job with my work's sign in South Pasadena. The quality is amazing honestly - it came out way better than I expected. Please see pictures. Although we tried to be understanding due to COVID and things just happening, coordinating the design and install were alittle difficult. Our project also was stalled for 2ish years, so revamping things too some coordination. Still, items went sideways but in the end, we did get a great product. Thanks folks!

Vinyl text for my graduation wall

I was a graduating design student, and needed vinyl for my graduation showcase. TL;DR - The quality is exceptional, and the team was able to reprint a new set for me after I messed up my first vinyl application, staying after closing time - which saved my graduation showcase. Employers were drawn to the beautiful lettering on my wall. Product: The quality of the cutouts were exceptional. The team worked closely with me and communicated with me frequently to match colors so that the print is just right. The letter definition were fantastic, especially in smaller characters like "i" and "l." The adhesive for the cutouts were also very strong - it was able to stick on freshly painted walls (this made it extra convenient for me since during crunch time to finish my exhibit). Service: The crew was super on top of things, from informing me timelines to handing me the final cutout (also demoing how to apply the cutout). For me, I messed up my first vinyl application, and needed a reprint. Although the reprint costed me, the team was able to turn it around the same day - some of the team even stayed 30 minutes after closing to finish my project, which legitimately saved my graduation showcase. To others interested: Vinyl is costly but the outcome is absolutely show stopping - make sure to be EXTREMELY careful when applying. Signarama offers installations help as well, so if you need assistance ask for it.

He was rude, visibly unhappy, and moved at a painfully slow pace despite the store not being busy at all. There was absolutely no reason for the attitude. On top of that, his appearance and lack of professionalism were concerning enough that I was uncomfortable standing at the counter. This is a customer-facing role--basic courtesy and professionalism should be non-negotiable. I won't be returning, especially with a print shop literally next door that values customers' time. The low rating here is well earned, and I wish I'd noticed it before walking in.
