For the lazy... I've shipped here on several occasions before. Always using their cheapest options, USPS. Of all the times before, I've dealt with a couple different guys who were extremely helpful in getting all the options, cheapest rates out there for me to make my best decision. On this last occasion, this Lady helped me ship, what will be my last package from here. It was a small box going internationally. I asked for the cheapest possible rate and she gave me a whomping $91 with USPS Priority Mail. As I am a bit accustomed to different shipping methods, I knew that first class is the cheapest. Of which I asked "What about First Class?" She replied, "it's $40 but you don't get a tracking number." "You don't think a $50 savings is worth mentioning? Anyways, I continued to ship it out. But my curiousity got the best of me. I looked up the exact rate at the USPS shippment calculator at all the same specifications, and it turns out it was only $21 online. Sunnofabish. A customer came in with no mask even though there are signs posted at their door saying they are required. Another older customer asked her if she needed a mask and she said no. The older customer then told a worker that there was a customer that wasn't wearing a mask and he just shrugged and ignored it. Disappointing as there were many kupuna in the shop. (2) A secure and convenient facility to receive private mail and packages if you live or work in the Waialae/Kahala/Aina Haina area. (3) The store stocks a wide variety of packing materials (boxes, tape, packing popcorn form, etc) and will assist you in packing. The staff is especially skilled at packing odd shaped items. (4) A copy machine and computers are available. (5) The store also features on-line printing services which allow you to design and print catalogs, manuals, newsletters, business cards, etc. (6) Parking is adequate. (7) And the store is locally owned and operated - yes, although UPS is a multinational freight company, the stores are franchised. Additional: STAFF: Friendly and helpful to the max. A previous reviewer commented that, being shy, she always tried (unsuccessfully) to sneak into the store without being greeted. It cannot be done. You will always be greeted with a smile. PARKING: The lot is small and is shared with Lanikai Juice and Asagio's, yet I've never had trouble finding a place to park. But parking may require patience at certain times of the day and year. The entrance is on Kilauea and the exit on Waialae. It's one way, so take care. Impatient drivers sometimes enter from the Waialae side. If you wish to leave the lot and go to Kahala Mall via Kilauea you need to cross two lanes on Waialae to get to the left turn lanes. This can sometimes take a while because traffic often backs up at the traffic light. It's often quicker get into the first lane and make a right onto Kilauea, travel a half block mauka, make a legal U turn and then proceed to the mall that way. SUMMARY: A convenient, locally owned UPS store, offering friendly and helpful service, with easy access from all directions. You might need to be patient with the parking so 4 stars instead of 5. I needed to get a notary done fast and most places I called were either unavailable or closed before I could get there. Including another UPS. I called this store and they had someone there till 7. Parking was a little tough as it's shared with Assagio and Lanikai Juice; but it's tolerable. When I came there were two people in front of me but the staff acknowledged me and told me they'll be right with me (which I appreciate at any business) The Notary was very professional and got me in and out in about 10 minutes. I would definitely come back here for future services. read more

I called this particular location and inquired about notary service. I was told that it cost $5 for regular notary and $10 for witness required notary and notary service is from 10am-3pm. I took my 90-yr old mom to get some papers notarized that required two witness signatures. They couldn't take her "just expired HDL" for an ID even though the governor extended the expiration date (an appt. for a state ID was not available for two months). After attempting to get an HDL renewal that day, C&C was able to allow my mom to get a state ID instead on that day. I was thankful for that. I went back to the UPS store the next day for the notary and was told: "Oh, she's on lunch and will be back in half an hour." Just like that. We left the store and came back a little more than half an hour. After the notary (Judy) looks over the paperwork, she tells me: "Oh, it says to sign in black ink and I only have blue pens." I checked my mom's bag..none. I had switched bags earlier because I had an appointment prior and did not put a pen in my bag. The UPS store only had gel pens for purchase, which I can't write well with. There are four employees in the store, including the public notary. You mean no one has a black ink pen????? Since I do not want to be taking my mom on this asinine goose chase, I sat her in a folding chair from the car and left her in the store to wait as I had to DRIVE TO LONGS TO BUY A PEN! What kind of notary does not have a black ink pen???? I'm sure that this is not the only document that is requiring it! After doing all that, ironically, the UPS employees are using MY PEN at no charge but they were going to charge me for a pen in the store. When everything was done, I was charged over $26. When I questioned that it should have been $10, the notary said "Yeah, $5 for the notary and $10 for each signature." I mentioned that when I called, I was only told $10 for witness required signatures, not PER signature (yes, I did mention two signatures.This took more than two hours to complete and I really wanted to just get a refund and go somewhere else but I couldn't put my mother through any more of this runaround and my mom was tired and hungry. I am really upset at this Kahala UPS store for their apathetic and apoplectic obliviousness. Unfortunately, the UPS closer to home does not have notary service, but the associates are much friendlier. If I could give zero stars..... read more

I don't use couriers or mailing services much, excpet when I'm on the receiving end. The few times that I do send something to the mainland, I usually prefer to go to the post office assuming they have the best rates. I went to this UPS store in Kahala next to Lanikia Juice in the new corner retail center at Waialae and Kilauea because an attorney was meeting there to use their notary for my signature. I was impressed with the professionalism of their Notary Service. I'mused to notaries in lawyers offices and in banks, so I was surprised that they could rate. But she asked all the same questions and even told the lawyer what he needed to do to make things "right." The new facilities are also clean and well organized and waiting for the notary (she had another client first) I was able to see that the rates are not only competitive, but me be cheaper in some instances. read more

I have used this store for dropping off packages for returns several times without any problems. Today was an extremely different experience. I need documents notarized and returned within days. I called this store and asked when a notary would be available. I also asked if I needed an appointment. I was told no appointment was needed. The notary hours today was 10AM until 2PM. I arrived about 12:30 and was told the notary had just left for lunch and would return by 12:50. Really, a lunch break when you work for 4 hours? I tried a nearby bank only to find their notary was on vacation. I returned to this UPS at 12:45. When I asked for the notary I was told to wait at a nearby desk which had a sign "Notary". As I waited, I heard someone at the desk I had requested the service from actually notarizing for someone else!!! So of course I was required to wait again. Then when I finally move to the notary he tells me he had been there the whole time, he was only gone for 10 minutes. He did not seem to believe that I had been told to wait. When he "reads" my document he tells me I must choose what type of notarizing to do???? Offered no explanation about what that meant. Only "I cannot tell you which to use." When I told him which one, the first one he offered, he repeated the question as to which one to use?????? Finally, he sates that there are blank places on the document so he will not notarized it until they are filled in. The document is being signed by 16 different people all over the country and NO ONE has had to complete the blanks left by the professional who wrote the document. The company is closed due to the holiday so I cannot call them until Monday. The document needs to be to the office by Tuesday which is not possible if it is not sent until Monday. So I called one of the other signers to find out what needs to be written in the very short blanks. The notary goes to the next customer. I will never use this office again! read more

I have nothing but WONDERFUL things to say about Jodi and her staff!! I'm a shy person by nature and I always try to sneak into the UPS Store (Waialae Avenue) undetected but without fail I'm always greeted by Jodi and her staff - some of whom know me by name. For those uninitiated people such as myself 24-months ago, one of the services that this UPS Store offers are PO boxes. However, unlike the traditional PO boxes offered by the United States Postal Service, the UPS Store includes additional and valuable services such as: Delivery signature confirmation and email notification. If you're a security conscious person like myself who fears their packages being stolen off their doorstep, the UPS Store is an EXCELLENT option. Fortunately for me, this particular store is located a few minutes from our house which makes it very convenient but for those who are not so fortunate, this location is open 7-days a week until 7pm (shorter hours on the weekends). Additionally, after hours the store is locked for security purposes but customers can purchase an after-hours key for a very minimal cost to access their boxes outside of store hours. read more

Poor notary services. Despite verifying the legality of a US armed forces ID on national notary website (https://www.nationalnotary.org/knowledge-center/reference-library/state-law-summaries), this UPS store refuses to accept an active duty service member ID as a valid form of identification. I strongly recommend against using their services. read more

Dropped off a gift that was to be shipped to mainland. The staff is friendly and very helpful however, my disappointment came in the form of my box being broken into. The shipping weight remained the same as leaving Honolulu so the theft occured on the mainland processing. My box was delievered embarrassingly with a broken item, an open card no envelope and missing the valuables. The UPS Store filed a claim for me and I was able to recoup my losses after three weeks. The store itself deserves 4 stars I'm sure but having the experience of what happened while box was in transit overshadows that for me. read more

Awesome service and prices. I needed to fax a document. I guess some people still require fax. I went to Kinkos and it was going to cost me over $20 to fax with them. I went to UPS store in Kahala and it only cost $6. UPS store is closer to my house than Kinkos too. Friendly, bright and convenient. They share a small parking lot with Lanikai Juice in Kahala. The service was professional and efficient. They didn't try to sell me anything more than I needed. I receive my mail at this store and am very pleased by the service. Occasionally, I ship to the outer island and find their service to be the BEST! I read a couple of negative reviews here and really cannot understand how that could be. I find all the people who work here to be helpful, friendly and that they really go the extra mile. I have used their printing service and was pleased with the results. Someone complained bout the price being higher than online prices, but you are paying for service. Nothing is free - UPS Kahala has to pay the payroll of all their employees - They cannot match the online price. I also like the ability to make arrangement to use the copiers after hours. read more

Nice people but a horrible experience with shipping UPS. I'm giving the 3 stars to the business, not to UPS. UPS deserves no stars. I will never again ship UPS. In October, I sent 2 boxes, (18x18x18)(boxes purchased at this store). One box arrived in Calif. in 3 days. The other box arrived 17 days later. Both boxes addressed same handwriting and same size. The box that arrived late, was in a different box, addressed in a different hand writing, filthy dirty, crushed, and the contents thrown into the box. Obviously, someone had opened the original box and thrown the contents into another box then addressed it. During the claim for the missing box. UPS wanted my receipts, complete description of contents, . . . sent to the Honolulu UPS store. Horrible experience with UPS. Advice. Take pics. of all contents, buy lots of insurance and keep your fingers crossed. Don't ship anything of value UPS. read more
