Went inside to mail a few items. The one lady that works there has zero customer service skill which I've noticed in 3 separate occasions. In today's visit, an older gentleman was trying to make chit-chat with her while completing his transaction and she could not be bothered to reciprocate any niceties. Just one word, monotone answers. I felt terrible for the guy. To mirror what a previous reviewer wrote, how do they close in the middle of the day when they're supposed to be open? See attached photo. They even set the "will be right back" clock hands incorrectly. I tried to send an email to them to print and there is no service in the building. The employee suggested I walk outside and try. I walked to the back of the exchange until it sent. I walked back to the UPS store and it was locked. So, she asked me to go outside to send something and then locked the door? My items were still inside. Then, she returned and didn't say anything about locking the door on me. No apology or anything. I paid for my printout and left without completing the other 3 transactions I was going to do. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. This location has been a complete disappointment since moving on base. I moved from Ewa and the location next to Buffalo Wild Wings had the absolute best customer service EVER! Noah and his crew could teach this place how a customer service driven shipping store should be run. There's something fishy going on at this store. I have multiple addresses on Oahu and have been having credit cards go missing, but only when I send to my PO address at this store and not at any of my other addresses. And only credit card mail is being lost. No other items of mail. To add to that, I have had multiple instances of credit card fraud on the island of Oahu for the pieces of mail that have gone missing. I cancelled my PO box here but something is not right. To summarize: mail, and only credit card mail, has gone missing only at this address and those cards have been trying to be used on island. Suspicious, yes? read more

We recently switched from FedEx to UPS for work. It's a big relief for me because It's just closer. I mean I'm not paying for the actual shipping so I don't really care about all that as long as it gets to where its gotta go. It's a just a convenient locations wit fast and friendly service and all the usual that I use. Lots of dining options too so I can piggy back work errands with my lunch break and get some sweet eats which i way better than the lack of options near me. Two birds with one stone! Woot! read more

Needed to ship a small item back to Amazon. I asked the lady working the counter if she had a small piece of tape I could use to tape over a small hole in the box, about an inch across. She pulled off a piece and said there was a taping fee. I told her Never Mind. She crumpled up the inch long piece of tape and threw it in the trash. She would rather throw away the small piece of tape that had been torn anyway than to help out a customer. Sad. read more

I used to think this place was rated 5 stars...in recent months I have come to realize "not so much". The location is great and I really like the idea of never having to leave base to ship something with UPS. However, when you go into this store it is very clear upon entry that you are bothering the employees to do their job. So, prepare yourself for immediate rudeness. Everyone has a bad day, but I have been in there about 8 times in the past 2 months and the treatment is always the horrible same. Recently I have been able to put a name on the worse employee and that is Gerina. If you expect her to do her job, expect an attitude. read more

It was about a week before Christmas and all through the house gifts that needed to be mailed to the mainland were scattered and I thought "oh fuddddddge!" I dragged my 12 packages into the store and the associate patiently helped me box and double bubble wrap and check and double check what the most efficient prices would be on all of the packages. And best of all everything arrived before Christmas despite my poor planning. Super customer service. Definitely worth skipping the post office. read more

Mediocre service each time but what prompted me to write this review was today's service. I went to purchase a small bubble wrap envelope (#1 size). It was marked with a $.99 tag. The cashier wrang it up and it came to $1.49. I was polite and showed her the tag but she insisted it was $1.49. She walked to where I picked it up and more than a dozen were marked $.99. She found one that was marked $1.49 and I asked if it was still $1.49. She said yes and pulled all of the $.99 envelopes off the shelf. I decided not to purchase and I left. If your business can't admit to a $.50 mistake, then you shouldn't be in business. read more

THIS UPS BRANCH IS HORRIBLE- Their costumer service is so bad. I went there to get a passport photo but different sizing. They took the picture and printed it but then proceeded to tell me they could not cut it because their automatic passport cutter didn't fit (since the sizing is different). The Sales associate didn't even try instead she gave me a manual cutter and told me I can cut it myself. I then ask if she can help me because I don't want to ruin the sizing- but told me "I got it." Moral is, I paid for a service to be done promptly & correctly but they did failed to do so. This UPS BRANCH is awful. read more

UPS always comes through. I've used many of their services at this location; po box, lots and lots of copies, mailing packages, passport photos, notary, and purchasing extra-large boxes and packing materials. Hours and location are convienent. (In the Hickam BX complex) Staff is always friendly and greets me as I enter. I never have to wait in a line wrapped around the building. (like the nearby PO) read more

I now understand why this place has high ratings. I had to return something to Amazon.com via UPS. No joke. I walked in during lunch time and there was no line. I gave the clerk my box. She took it, scanned it, handed me a receipt and I was done. I stood there looking at her like, that's it. She said yeah. I was like, you sure. I felt like something more should have happened. Did I miss something? I felt robbed in a strange sort of way. Then it dawned upon me. This is what real customer service is supposed to feel like. I hadn't felt that in a long time; it was a foreign feeling but a good one. One that tugged at memories long forgotten. Ahhh....to experience that feeling again. Thanks UPS. read more

I've had a PO Box here for about a year and a half. Same staff, with an occasional new face behind the counter, but they are always professional and helpful. Usually, I walk in and before I can get the slips out of my box, they are bringing my heavy large packages to the front. I always ship prepaid, walk in, they scan and print my receipt and I'm on my way. Even when it's busy for the holidays, I'm able to drop off my package and the staff offers to put the receipt in my PO Box so I don't have to wait, granted not everyone has this luxury, but if it's prepaid you should have the receipt in your email, only need to ask to drop if off and no need receipt. Great customer service, never had a problem. read more

Been here twice in the past couple of months and despite having a return label and box ready to go, I get charged ~$2 for them to tape a box that's maybe 6" across. Only UPS store I've been to that charges for tape and doesn't give you a roll of tape in return so you don't encounter this situation more than once. I've been to other UPS locations where they put the return label in a clear sleeve with adhesive on the back to go over the seam of the box. Really not wanting to go off base to ship my box, but I may have to try my luck at a UPS store elsewhere. read more

Went into the ups store on Hickam Air force base to try and send out a package. The last time I made a visit to this store there was a young man that helped me out with shipping stuff to my family. He gave great service from the moment I walked through the doors to the moment I walked out. Anyways, I went in the other day and there were 2 ladies. One lady I havent seen in that store before and the other ive seen a couple times. I figured the lady I havent seen before was new and still in training. But it looked and sounded like she's been there for a while. I guess the couple in front of me were paying with a different type of debit or credit card so the new lady looked a bit confused. The one that ive seen there before came over and sort of scolded her in front of the customers. She could have helped the new lady and then pulled her on the side to let her know what she did wrong instead of scold her infont of customers.I know how shaming that is and it isnt funny. I grabbed a business card in hopes of reaching out the companies boss but it only had the store managers name and store information If you ask me the new lady was doing fine. read more
