I originally went to the Alicia Parkway Store (don't go there) but decided to drive a little further to see if service was better. THIS IS THE BEST PLACE WITH THE BEST SERVICE! Quick introduction, I grew up in Lake Forest and have lived in different addresses between Foothill Ranch and Rancho Santa Margarita. I got tired of updating my mailing address each time I moved, so I decided to rent a mailbox at this location. I have been going in and out of this store for years (weekends and weeknights). Without exception, every single time I have walked into this UPS store, either Sean or Scott have greeted me. Even when it's busy and the line is out the door, they have said "hey, how's it going?". They immediately go back to helping the customer and I go on with my day. But I appreciate the friendly, welcoming gesture. I have done both sending and receiving here and I frequent this place of business on a regular basis and my experiences have always been great. UPS will increase their own goodwill if they allow another franchisee to open up a store in the same vicinity, provide competition to this store and keep UPS clients happy. ================= The following is my rebuttal to the UPS store reply to my review: As expected from the attitude I saw in the store, I have received an unrelated and off the wall response from them. They are either not good business people or totally delusional or just plain lying. I didn't have a box in my hand and was not in the store for Amazon related business at all. A simple apology for the dismal experience would have done it; but instead they decided to pile on. Been using this location for a few years and never had a problem. Today I brought an Amazon return package in and apparently things changed where it now says "customer packed" under the QR code. I used to bring Amazon returns in here with the top of the box open and UPS would simply tape the box shut and ship it. Costs them mere pennies to use that piece of tape. This time the guy at the counter, Scott, refused to take the package and refused to simply close the box with a piece of tape. So instead I had to leave with the box, drive all the way home, put a stupid piece of tape on it, then drive back (because I was NOT about to buy an entire roll of tape for a single piece). Total waste of my time for a stupid piece of tape and Scott was complety rude about it. Then when I came back the 2nd time his barcode scanner couldn't read the QR code from the Amazon email I was showing him on my phone and his response was again rude. After having to log into Amazon on my browser and find the QR code in my account it finally worked. Terrible customer service and making me rethink ever using this location again. After seeing all the other negative reviews on here and Google for this UPS location, it's no surprise I had such a terrible experience. Perhaps it's time customers started alerting the UPS regional manager about this location's poor service. Also, as a small business owner myself, I suspect the owner is padding reviews on here and Google with friend's reviews because it's odd for a business to have such a high amount polarizing 1 and 5 star reviews. From my experience I recommend people trust the 1 stars, not the 5s. read more

I understand that that is what is posted. But I am sticking to my first comment and that is that I HAVE NEVER BEEN CHARGED FOR TAPE IN THE 20+ YEARS I HAVE BEEN SENDING PACKAGES! It is soooo incredibly petty!!! If you want to nickel and dime your customers like that, you will lose them. And this is probably why a lot of our neighbors only go to your store if they have to. They go somewhere else if they can. And you are incredibly deceiving by your comment about how big my box was as if I needed that whole box taped up! That was an ignorant comment to defend yourself with because I only needed two pieces of tape!!!! I didn't need to tape up the whole box!!! For you to make that assumption is just wrong. I would never go into a store and ask for that! That would be rude of me. But in this case, I had already taped it up except for a small little part that I left open on purpose so I could put a piece of paper inside before it was taped up. THAT IS WHY I WAS ASKING FOR TAPE! It wasn't to tape up the whole box! It was just a small little section! My gosh! See, this is why your store could do so much better if you just had better customer service and a better attitude. No wonder why you have the reputation that you have with that location. read more
