I need a mail a return item and Amazon won't let me return my broken kindle to Amazon fresh, but I seen this Mail center, all the time when I go to the shopping center over there and I needed like a shipping label to return an item on Amazon and they were able to and they were also able to ship out the broken candle that I need to return. Yesterday I encountered the WORST customer service experience at A1 Mail in Mission Viejo. On Wednesday I need to ship a very important item to my son who has moved out of state. I went to A1 mail to see what the best/quickest options were to get it to him by the weekend. A nice woman helped me and showed me all the options and we agreed on a FedEx option that would arrive on Friday. Late yesterday (Friday) I pulled up the tracking information expecting to see item delivered or out for delivery but the tracking showed the item had not moved from Mission Viejo and was showing "shipment information sent to Fedex" and "we''ll add a delivery date as soon as we get your package". I immediately called A1 mail to see what happened. I explained what happened and the young man who answered the phone abruptly said "yes, it shipped" without even asking for any information from me. I asked him how he knew since he hadn't asked for a tracking number, my name or any details. He then told me that "Fedex picks everything up every day" and that it was gone. I asked him to at least take my tracking info and look up the item which he did (hesitantly). After seeing what I was seeing that the package had not moved, he explained that Fedex takes "2-3 days" to update their website. I explained to him that I was "stressed out" because this was a bank card and my son needed it for his rent this weekend. He asked if the card had been activated and when I said it had not in a very snarky/sarcastic tone he said "if it hasn't been activitated then why are you stressed out". Not liking his attitude, I asked to speak with the woman who helped me or a manager. He said describe the woman who helped you. I gave him some specifics and he said we have two women who work here that look like that. I could hear another worker in the background and I again asked to speak with her or a manager and he told me he was a manager and had been there longer than anyone. Since I could see he wasn't going to help me any further I decided to drive over to see if I could speak to someone who wanted to help me figure out what happened. When I got to the store I asked the man if I could speak to the woman (her name waqs Diana) who had helped me ship the item. She came out and we pulled up the tracking info which CLEARLY showed the item had not shipped. They both tried to convince me that Fedex had not updated their system. I have experience with Fedex and I could CLEARLY see that the item had never moved from A1 Mail. They were of absolutelty no help at all, so I went out to my car and did a customer service chat with Fedex customer support. They told me unequivacably that Fedex never received my item. I went back into A1 and showed them the reponse from Fedex. They still argued with me that the item had shipped and that Fedex just had not updated their system. They said their Fedex driver would be there in a half hour and they would discuss with him and call me back. I went home and called this time called Fedex and spoke with a representative and they too told me the item was never received and there was no way their system just wasn't showing an update. I received a call back from Diana shortly before they were closing for the evening and she said their "regular" Fedex driver did not come. Diana said I could call his supervisor on Monday and see if I could get an answer as to what happened. I told her I had just gotten off the phone with Fedex and they confirmed the item had never been picked up. Her response was "and you beleive them over us". I told her this whole situation was unacceptable and that I wanted a refund for my shipping fees ($22). She said she couldn't do that and I will have to come back in on Monday when the owner is there. This was a total inconvenience for my son who doesn't have his bank card. The two people who work at A1 seemed to be blaming me for everything and not wanting 1) do their job, 2) assist with a problem for the service I paid for and 3) were completely rude and unapologetic about the fact that they lost my item. I have used A1 mail for over a decade but after this experience I will never use them again and will definitely be sharing what happened to me with anyone who asks for a recommendation for a local mailing establishment. read more

Is there a new owner? I use to go without issues. Awful. $18 UPCHARGE on a roll of 100 stamps?!?! WOW that is a crime. I was in a hurry and didn't see til I left. Also did a notary and she was very nosey asking me questions about my personal documents. Will never go back there again. read more

Very long story. I took in a new medium-sized box packed nice and tightly in bubble wrap in a glass saver pack. There were fragile vintage and antique glass pieces wrapped individually. The owner Tejal had placed "Fragile" stickers in a few areas of the box, as she was informed of the contents. She also took a few pics (for her album, she said). The box arrived (via FedEx) at the destination all smashed up, holes, rips, tears throughout the box. It was very apparent that the driver had stacked heavier boxes on top throughout the transport. I paid additional insurance, although these pieces are not available any longer. After showing the pictures of the beat up box and the broken pieces of the glass to Tejal, she attempted to look for the pictures she took from her phone, she couldn't find them. She was not happy that I had to file a claim, but it was VERY evident that the box was mishandled and beat up enough to have broken about 7-8 pieces of the glasses. In short, she did not follow up on the claim with FedEx as she should have. She was more concerned that it would damage her contract with FedEx. FedEx, at one point had responded back to her that they were too busy and they were delaying my claim. I could not contact FedEx, saying the issue is between the two parties. In the meantime, my husband unexpectedly passed away and I was trying to deal with his passing, so I had to turn it over to my sister. She tried her best to deal with A1 Mail and Tejal. This claim issue with A1 Mail and FedEx took 2 months to finally resolve. I/we had to consistently request an update from Tejal. It was usually then when she would email FedEx for an update. Bottom line.....Tejal did not want to jeopardize her relationship with FedEx, so she did follow up or push the delay issue with FedEx. I will never use their service again. read more

Horribly rude person. They would not read instructions, stating I wanted notarization when I asked specifically for item being apostilled. They would not even admit the fault, just kept replying rude yelp messages. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else. Anywhere else. They do not care. read more

This is my first visit to A-1 Mail. I need a document notarized and it is one of the closest to me that is open early in the morning (thanks Yelp ) I must have seen A-1's sign before but never paid attention to where it is. We parked at the first open space we saw then walked to find it on foot. To my surprise, it is right next door to one of my favorite breakfast place Aloha Stacks. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and professional. She reviewed the document then showed us sections to complete and where to sign. It only took 10 minutes and we were done! A-1 charges $15 per signature. I'm not sure if it is the prevailing rate but it seems reasonable. Overall it was a pleasant experience. read more

If you want friendly, knowledgeable, efficient service, Tachel will make sure your international packages are properly prepared. I had used a local UPS store for years, but I started having problems with my gift packages clearing customs, etc. Since I switched to Tachel at A-1 Mail, all has gone smoothly. I showed up tonight at 5:50, ten minutes before closing, with my arms full of Christmas presents to be packed for international mailing. I apologized profusely, and Tachel and her helpful young employee had it all ready to go by the 6:00 PM closing time. Please, please support the small business if you are ever in need of any postal needs. The ladies at this A1 mail are absolutely one-of-a-kind, first class business women. I have been dealing with a frustrating situation for the last three days and went in there to fax some documents and was treated with the upmost kindness and respect. First I want to say.. I've used this location in the past and the manager and employees have always been very professional and friendly. Today I went to pick up a couple of US postal service's boxes that are provided to locations free of charge by the post office. When I asked for several boxes they said that they were being held behind the counter and could only be utilized by their customers mailing items from their store. I'm sure that this is not the intent of the USPS! According to the Post Office this is a FREE item given to your store to be used as customers see fit. You do not get to tell me where to shop or where to mail my packages. This is not customer service or anything close! Shame on you. read more

The excellent staff, headed up by the owner, Tejal, is always helpful, kind and informative on each visit...always going the extra mile... This is the third time I have used A-1 Mail. The location is in a busy strip mall near a grocery store. There is a lot of vehicular traffic and pedestrian traffic but parking is no problem. The store itself is not big, more like a long hallway, but a little wider. I was mailing a large (28 pounds) package to Alaska. I was met at the counter by Tejal, Heather and Julie. They were all very friendly and helpful. I had many questions regarding the safety of the package, how long the package would take to be delivered and of course the cost. The ladies were able to answer all my questions and made recommendations regarding labeling the package as fragile and point out the best delivery selection for my budget. If you have a package to send and don't want to stand in a long line this location may be a convenient option. Also, the friendly, helpful & knowledgeable ladies that assisted me made the visit a nice experience. I recommend this location. read more

She double checked my forms and even gave me a new set because of a tiny error I made. I will come here for all of my mailing needs. It's been a long time overdue to write a review for A-1mail. I have been coming to this location for years and always am given kindness, professionalism, and informative help! the lady who I believe is the owner or manager is A-mazing. I don't know if she remembers me but she's helped me in the past with live scans to get my nursing boards ready, mail sent out etc. I think primarily I'm writing this review because especially during times like these during this pandemic, the lady (owner I believe) was SO sweet and asked how my day was going. Something so simple to others but to me, I felt the genuineness. she gave me some glue when my envelope looked like it was going to open haha. Little things right? But to me it meant a lot! Her kindness truly made my day. The staff there are also great as well. when there are lines she's always greeting them and asking them what they need. Whatever she's doing, keep doing it! Unfortunately I'm dropping them down 2 stars and here's why: Today, I decided to take in a few items to be shipped. They close at 3 on weekends and ship out for 1pm so I had to hurry. While there's no line, they do rush you which I hated. The guy helping me said he couldn't read the garbage on my note. Seriously? Garbage? Is that the way you treat a customer? And it wasn't even that hard to read. I had everyone's order and their address neatly written. I should have left but since these are eBay items I needed to send them out promptly. The packaging and shipping was OK but I did not like how everything else was handled. They may be close by but I think I'll just go back to Foothill Post and Ship for now. read more
