They have a self service kiosk now which makes things a breeze after you learn how to use it. The staff has improved here as well. They're friendlier and acknowledge when you're waiting in line. It's a nice improvement. read more

Around 1:00 p.m. on November 14, 2024, I went to this store to return an item to Amazon. There was only one young female employee in the store. When she saw me, she looked annoyed and then displayed an extremely hostile attitude. I was completely baffled, not knowing what I had done to offend her. Having such an employee will surely bring negative reviews to this store. With such a malicious employee, UPS is bound to go out of business sooner or later! I despise this employee! As I went in today 12/27 to simply drop off 2 packages I was greeted horribly by a younger girl, curly hair and glasses very very unprofessional. She did not want to take my packages due to them not being closed with tape? But yet she proceeded to scan my QR code? And told me she couldn't take my packages. I'm unsure how this lady is still there due to her brining a very negative attitude to the company. I ended up going to a different ups store on central in Montclair, and the super nice girl simply helped me put some tape on my boxes and they were ready to go! Thank you to her! read more

Worst customer service ever the manager Gabby was so unhelpful and rude that she rather hold up the line then do her due diligence in assisting me with my package. She failed to take any accountability for their system not working to allow me to make a payment on my box. And attempted to keep my package hostage until paid. I come in to this store on occasion, and it's always busy - especially now thats it's the holidays. I can understand that there might be a line, so I always make time to be sure I'm not last minute with my shipment or my own returns. I went in last Monday (totally forgot to write my review!) and even though I waited like everyone else, the service I received was efficient, and quick when it was my turn. The young lady named Gabby was ​​multi-tasking like her her life depended on it. I felt bad for her, because I could clearly see she was being stressed at the line and rude customers. I stood behind one of them who even called her an obscene name when we overheard her telling someone ahead of us to pay for taping very large boxes. She explained it to that woman about their policy for taping when its too big or multiple opened ones and that woman looked appalled and said NEVER pays when she's in there. The man in front of me turned to me and quietly cussed that female employee out as if I'd agree that "taping should be free no matter what". I told him I tape my own packages or pay if I don't - which I actually ended up doing. ​ Gabby helped me and explained to me what I didn't notice about my package needing packaging and how to find it next time. Honestly, I just assumed it was free, but I guess I didn't read my instructions in depth, so I didn't mind. Poor thing looked ready to cry. Adults reading my review... READ your instructions, don't blame the employee for your laziness! My Amazon and Shein returns were a LOT, but she was patient, quick and kept her area clean. I see all these nasty comments on here, and yes, the store needs more staff - but maybe it's not in the budget. I once ran my own small business and dealt with this vitriol from entitled customers I'm all too glad to not serve anymore. But I've stood in line behind people in this store who want to pick a fight with these employees because they won't get their service for free so they bully them, or the wait is too long - there's only 2 computers! Give them a break! The entitlement it's horrible! I hope the owner knows there's always 2 sides to a story, and I speak from my own experience, but I've been inside here enough to know that if you're not prepared with your package, YOU are the one holding up the line not the employees. I make time to be there, and I read my instructions (most of the time) without arguing if I have to pay if I made a mistake. I appreciate the help I get here and I WILL keep coming back. I looked online at a few UPS stores and saw that this one had morning time slots available for a Notary. I made an appt for 10am and when I got there, there was a line. So I waited in line for 30 mins only to be told there was no notary on site until 3pm. I made an appointment, so it was just a waste of time. The girl was nice, which is the only reason I didn't give it 1 star. Anyways, if you are looking for a Notary, call first. Even if you have an appointment :) read more

I have tried this store a handful of times and every time there is an issue with something, whether it be their customer service, machines, or getting the packages to the right place. If you want something done right the first time, I wouldn't recommend going here unless you have lots of time to fix their mistakes. read more

As a fellow small business owner, I would hope my employees would have more empathy on a customer calling my store. We sent a package with a return label to CA. Our customer dropped it off at this store on March 16. On March 22 we called to check and was told they had 10 days to process shipping, which is not true. We called back on March 26 to check why it still showed no movement and was told the package was not there, they had no idea what happened and there was nothing else they could do. The employee who answered offered zero resolutions, no apologies and could give a care less about our situations. When these stores pride themselves on #1 in customer service, this is a great example of everything NOT to do. How Pathetic!! read more

They will steal your packages!!!! trust UPS. One of my packages was stolen at my "preferred delivery" location because they gave it to someone without an ID (probably a friend of one of the employees) and they have made it almost impossible for me to file a claim and get reimbursed for my package. I have to stoop so low as to go onto social media to blast them for being so shady. The owner claims that he filed a police report and now I have to deal with the policy if I want to get my money back for the package that was stolen. How is it my fault that your location gave my package to someone without an ID? How am I the victim of a theft? You were the ones that were stolen from. You were the ones responsible for the package. I filed a claim though UPS and it was denied because according to them the package was delivered...yeah to the wrong person. Also, how is possible that someone new exactly when my package was getting delivered and was able to pick it up first thing in the morning the next day? And why did the owner keep on mentioning an Apple Watch when we called about this? Did they know what it was and plan to have someone pick it up? All of this seems so shady to me and UPS is no help. Wow so i hate to leave this review because ive had excellent customer service in past years but today i went into ups store and was helped by Chris D. I had plenty items to return from amazon. The heaviest item i retrned was 1.61 lbs. I greeted Chris D. And as he started scanning he sighed and rolled his eyes every time. He acted like his scanner was 20 lbs he dropped it hitting my stomach which i am 8 months pregnant not that he injured me but not even an excuse me or sorry. He was like a 35 year old man sighing and complaining about working in a nice air conditioned store scanning packages. I would expect this gesture from a teenager not a 30 something year old man.i thanked him as I walked away and he rolled his eyes. He made me feel like i was an inconvenience to his hard job. My husband and dad are outdoors working all day at 100 degrees sun blazing on there backs with pleasure to have a job and do it and he was practically crying in the cold a/c carrying 1 lb packages and holding up a half pound scanner. I sometimes have to drop off UPS packages for my company. The UPS store near my house is hard to find parking . Fortunately, I found this one online, and it's on my way home. I went to drop off a few heavy packages for the first time today. It's a tiny, cozy store with two employees when I walked in. They are very helpful and friendly. I'm glad I went to this store . Their pick up time is later than others which makes it more convenient for people who can only go there after office hours. Parking is easy, location is very convenient and closed to freeway. This will be my go to store from now on. Highly recommended. read more

I went to return a couple things at the ups store last week. Usually a young girl helps me very fast and friendly. But it was unfortunate that i had a not so friendly employee help me. His name was Chris. He was extremely annoyed looking that he had to help me. I was friendly to him and he was just not happy to be there. It's unfortunate this new generation do not appreciate there job and any type of work is too much work. Looked he he have rathered stayed home playing video games. I only took up 3 minutes of his time and he made me feel uncomfortable for it. Very unprofessional. Ups store in central dont let this employee give you guys a bad name. Needed a live scan to be cleared by the commission of teacher credentialing, stopped by 01/09/20 paid a fee of $74. A week later 01/17/20 received an email from the commission stating there was a discrepancy in my file which meant my live scan was registered under the wrong last name. I checked both the form I filled out for the UPS store and my ID and my full and correct last names are listed on both. After calling the UPS store the employee that did my scan said my last name was too long so he only put one of my last names. This was incredibly inconvenient as I was in the process of applying for priority registration for grad school in order to receive a $3,000 grant. The employee stated a resubmission could be made under the correct last name. I agreed and a resubmission was done. After not hearing back for two weeks about my live scan I emailed the commission and they stated resubmissions could not be accepted as there was a discrepancy in my file and that would require NEW FINGERPRINTS and that I should talk to the fingerprint place about not being charged again as it was not my mistake. I called UPS talked with an employee about the situation and stated I needed new fingerprints but did not want to be charged the $74 fee again as I did not make the mistake. Employee stated that the $25 fee ups applied could possibly be discounted but the $49 fee the government applies cannot. I asked to speak to a manager but no manager was available. I called again later that day and let them know I could stop by for fingerprints that day 01/30/20 but wanted to know if a manager would be available when I get there. Once again no manager would be available but as I was on an extreme time crunch with my grad school application I stopped by for fingerprints and the employee once again CHARGED THE FULL $74 again. Since then I've talked to corporate, submitted a complaint and have talked to the store but have yet to hear from an actual manager. Only the same employee that completed my fingerprints has contacted me relaying messages from the manager about refunding me one of $25 UPS fees. Considering I paid a total of $148 in fees and waited nearly a month to be cleared this seemed like a completely irrational resolution. read more

I was waiting in my house all day for my package (signature required) . At 6:06 pm I see ups car arrived. Right that moment I was walking downstairs. When I got to the first floor and open the door that ups driver already left. Without wait for one fking second and didn't neither knock the door nor ring the bell. Ok COOL I called the number on the Notes that ups driver leave. On the phone that lady just told me to wait for her for 1 min. I said yea no worries. 6 minutes later without saying a single word. She hang off the phone. What is that kind of service. FANTASTIC. Making me wait all day and tell me to come tomorrow. Why do I fking waste my time for your mistake?
