I asked a simple question about needing two receipts for two separate drop-offs and he got visibly upset for no reason. I have been coming to this store multiple times because it's the one closest to my house. However, everytime I have to drop off a package I'm already dreading the fact that I have to deal with the rude staff at this store. To add to this matter, on Saturday I stopped by at 9:10am and there was a lady sitting outside on a walker waiting for them to open. So i decided to go run an errand and come by a little later. I stopped by again at around 9:25am and the door was still closed. There was an older lady standing outside with a load of large packages placed on the floor. I decided not to wait and drove to the store on Central. Guess what?!!! It was open!! And the guy there was friendly and helpful. I guess I'll have to drive further to get better service. The staff at this store on Mountain should be re-trained in better customer service and how to be punctual. From all the other ratings I can see this store has a lot of one star reviews. This store is one of UPS worst reputations for this company. I feel so sad for the employees that worked there. They have no social skills whatsoever. They are not helpful. They are rude. I will never go to this UPS Store as it was horrible service! Apparently, one employee was there to pick up his last check, and the employee working kept saying "I'm right behind you!" They were having this conversation in front of customers. Once it was my turn at the counter, I was told they couldn't mail my package and was told they don't provide boxes! He told me to wrap it in a trash bag and bring it back!! He was so rude!!! I then went to Fed Ex and had no problem! Was treated with respect! I made an appointment to have an important document notarized and took time off work specifically for that appointment. When I arrived, they told me the person who does notarizing a document didn't work on this day. I asked why I was offered this date and time when there was no availability. The clerk simply told me the scheduling tool is unreliable, and that I should try a different location. I asked for their assistance and helping me find a location that for sure did notarization, and stated that I had a deadline for this document today, and was really relying on this appointment. They gave me a number and said they're unable to help and that there's nothing they can do because it's not their fault. The provided number I called said they did not handle notarizing. While I understand potentially not having control over a franchised website, they should've had access to appointments for the day, and been able to identify that notary appointments were being scheduled in error. It also would have been appreciated to have their assistance in problem solving instead of telling a customer it's not their fault and not acknowledging the impact. So now I took time off for no reason and can't get my car. read more

Customer service today was horrible. I usually use this location to mail out documents for my business and have never had any issues until today. I needed to return some clothing items and had the return label printed already. I just needed to purchase a bag to place them in. I started to look at my options against the wall, while Fernando, UPS employee, was assisting another patron. It was my turn, and I started to explain what I needed to return, and he starts barking orders at me and speaking to me as though I was dumb, as if I should've known what I was doing. I asked him if he was okay due to the fact that he was being very short and condescending with me. His tone immediately changed and said, "Oh, I'm fine. I'm off." Uh, okay. I expressed how I did not appreciate the way he was talking to me and his response was "You'd be surprised how many people come in here and start pulling stuff off the shelves and making a mess." I said, "Actually, I would not be surprised: I've worked in customer service before and know how it can be." In the meantime, he snapping at me about how to place my items on the scale and cutting me off. I never received an apology. I gathered my receipt, asked for his name, said Thank you, and left. Here's a piece of advice: If Fernando is working when you walk into this UPS, you better know what you're doing or you're gonna get your head bit off. Totally inexcusable. Well I received the most AMAZING customer service from Selena!!!! She was friendly, mad skills with attention to detail and extremely efficient. I had to send two overnight letters with very important business documents and I loved her professionalism with how she double and triple checked everything. I have very important court documents that need to be notarized before I can send them off and I made an appointment for Friday at 9 am Took the day off of work to be there and make sure I can get this done. I chose UPS because it seemed a more reliable choice as opposed to the other maybe mom and pop shops that may do notary. The night before I receive a reminder of the appointment so everything's good. Day of I show up and I'm told that the notary person isn't there today.... I was told that I should have received an email or call to tell me not to come because of this but I looked through my junk in front of her and there's no email. Then she looks and says yeah I don't even have your information in here. I read off the address and she says yes that's this location. So I show her the confirmation email and she said ok but no one is here to do it. Instead of helping me to find another location she's just basically giving off the "better luck next time, sucks for you" So I ask for the manager and she said she's the OWNER. I'm sorry but this is the most inconvenient unprofessional situation in regards to appointment setting for something that is actually very important. Let it be a nail appointment then fine. I couldn't find my car keys after mailing a package at the Ontario UPS Store. I was a bit panicked but the wonderful lady who'd helped me immediately came to me to assist me. She checked all counters, floors and insisted on walking out to my car to check the ground around my parking spot. I'd checked my purse several times, even emptied it all out. No hand sanitizers anywhere in the middle of a pandemic. The staff do not sanitize their hands in between customers either. They touch everything including people's ID's and packages. They make you sign on their touchpad and not give you the option to sanitize your hand after. I received a delivery confirmation from the post office that an expensive package arrived almost ten days ago and the very rude person named Chris said he had no delivery notice for it. He refused to check on it, walked away from me and went to the next person in line.
