Recent UPS store that wasn't too busy when I visited, and the employees were nice and efficient. I just needed to return something from Amazon with a premade label and the process was really easy. Parking is also nice and easy spots right outside the entrance! read more

The staff there is always really friendly to me. They all look like they work well as a team. I never wait long and always have a nice experience. I know that the staff here get swamped with people but they are always very polite and do a great job! Thanks! read more

Definitely the rudest and most unhelpful UPS employees I've come across in Austin. So rude that I'd guess something else must have been going on when I walked in the door that had nothing to do with me. One guy yelled, "My name is Santiago if you have a problem" like he wanted to fight. Won't be going here again. read more

Santiago and Miriam are perhaps two of the friendliest, most sincere and customer-oriented people I've ever met in the 3 years I've been in Austin. Always greeted with a smile, my needs are attended to promptly, and I'm on my way. Wishing you both a happy Thanksgiving and a warm cup of Java read more

DO NOT GO HERE! If you ship a computer or anything of value BEWARE! The ups claims does NOT help! The owner and manager at this store can care less this is my personal experience and opinion. They are non responsive and when you send something here they don't wrap it properly and they damage your computer and take ZERO accountability. BUYERS you've been warned. read more

They get one extra star for convenience since it's local but everyone here is grumpy, clearly not happy to deal with customers, and slow. In comparison to the other local UPS stores in the area I go to this one when I'm not looking to drive -- but it takes 3x longer to get anything done and it's always busy with long lines of people who also don't want to be there. I also know coming here the vibe is angry to frustrated -- which just puts a damper on the day. I feel bad for the employees, and hope they find something else that makes them feel like the job isn't a chore or annoyance that they should take out on the customers. There is one bright spot: a new guy working here, Anthony, who is a delight. read more

I always try to come to this store for Amazon returns and other miscellaneous things. They are always kind and patient, but today, in particular, the employee who waited on me was super kind and sweet. These things take a lot of effort when you're tired or overworked. And I don't know if the kind human was either, or what her story was, but she chose kindness. And I really needed that. read more

Once again I found myself needing a little help mailing something international and these guys walked me through it. Kind attitudes and helpful service. read more

I go to this UPS store at least once a week. I can honestly say that they are a well-oiled machine, with good manners!! Efficient: Yes. Helpful: Yes. Friendly: Yes. Well Stocked/Prepared: Yes. Keep up the excellent work! It is appreciated & noticed! read more

Great service with a wonderful team! I have been going to this location for years and will drive out of my way to use this location. Highly recommend this store to anyone in the area. read more

I really like this UPS store because everyone is friendly and efficient. Also, I like that they can notarize documents, makes it very convenient. read more

never thought id be writing a review of a UPS store, but i guess this is life in my 30s idk what it is about this location, but man they are always busy. not like south congress USPS busy, but busy. Unlike USPS however, every single associate (and the manager) are incredibly kind and quick in working through the queue. idk how many times ive been to this store and got into the line when it was backed up to the door, but ill be damned if i wasnt outta there in 15m max. one case that jumps to mind was when i had a weirdly sized package i needed to get to a friend, and there wasnt anything that quite fit the spec without being silly oversized and would result in me spending a small fortune on packing peanuts/bubble wrap that id never get the satisfaction of popping for myself. the manager was working the front lines, and offered to help me out by explaining how to adjust a given box, and then offered to do it for me! the place was busy too so i would have understood if she wanted to just move on to the next customer, but she was kind enough to take a couple minutes to knock it out. 10/10 would recommend for your shipping/amazon return needs. read more

Very professional and courteous staff. Way easier to ship or mail from here than local post offices. They can quickly take care of any Notary needs also and that is inexpensive. read more

Yet another good experience at this UPS store. Im always anxious when it comes to dealing with mailing packages. Every experience I've had here, the people working are friendly and efficient and it just makes my day better. Thanks for being great humans and making making things a breeze. :) read more

I've always dreaded going to the post office or anything like it. It took awhile to feel differently but this particular UPS team is the absolute best. They are even great with my little dog. She walks in knowing (hoping) she will be given a treat. Their service is knowledgeable and speedy which I appreciate so much read more

These people are always so sweet and efficient! They always let me drop of my packages on the fly and I can trust them to scan them in!

Kendra and Jordan were both super helpful! I was leaving town and didn't have enough time to zip-tie a few bins that I was shipping, but they readily had them available and zip tied them for me. I so appreciated it! read more

This is the worst UPS store ever. They don't nickel and dime you, they $5 and $10 you. Stay away from this place. Deal with FedEx on Bee Caves or just drop off your package at the Collier box. Shame on UPS for franchising to these people. If there was a zero star option I would pick it. read more

This place needs to get its sh!t together!! I have been going here for over 5 years about once a week. Almost every time, there is a huge line, but for no reason. It's usually because someone is having trouble with the copier or having problems paying. And they always only have 1 or 2 people working the front even though there are MANY others walking around, usually doing nothing. Every time I am there I want to scream. I know this is not the case with all UPS stores as I have tried several others, most are out of the way however. read more

Slowest ups store in the USA. No matter how long the line, people stay in back and ignore. I'm finding a new location.

very helpful, nice folks. staff members are always very pleasant and personable and good at doing their jobs. - leaving the last star off (and nothing to do with this store, but I'm a bit bummed with UPS presently) simply because the boxes I sent to sweden are having to go through a curious and long process going through fedex customs in sweden. info that they have asked for and gotten keeps being asked for in different form. really redundant and frustrating. read more

I dropped a laptop off at this store and had a great experience. The customer service was awesome, I will definitely stop at this location going forward when in the area. read more

New owner/management didn't impress me any on Saturday afternoon (yesterday). They decided to leave a new employee in the store alone. I spent 20 minutes being kind and patient with the kid. I had a package going to a soldier in Afghanistan. I still have the package because he could not figure out how to. He called the new owner who said he would be another 20 minutes before returning. If customer care is not #1 I'll take my business elsewhere. It was so busy non-stop the entire time I was there. Sweet employee but the struggle was difficult to watch and be a part of as he "tried" with a line of customers growing. No excuses for this poor decision making. I can get this type of service at the post office and pay less. **** update***** I returned the following Saturday and found the new associate more experienced in his learning process but luckily when he had questions on how to process my shipment an experienced co-worker was there to help and we finally got it shipped read more

The absolute WORST. If you come in with more than a few boxes prepare for them to give you a VERY HARD TIME.

This location has incredible staff working very hard and quickly, especially since getting slammed with the pandemic. I am always in and out even when there is a line outside. Thankful to have them in the South Lamar neighborhood! read more

My go to store for all shipping- great service- fast and courteous.

I love this store everyone is always so helpful I've been going to this store for about 15 years it's the only place I go to ship!!!!!

Do not go here!! They price gouge like crazy!! It's $5 to scan a piece of paper and email it!!! There is a print shop literally in the same shopping center on the other side that charges 50 cents. And every other service they have is fractions of what ups wants to charge. read more

The sheer fact that I felt compelled to go back and update a review on a UPS store should say a lot here. Last couple of times, I've had a completely different experience. The guy working the counter is so much friendlier and more helpful. I'm not shamed for shipping anymore! So relieved my neighborhood UPS store is no longer something to be feared. Definitely ship yo stuff here! read more

THIS IS THE BEST PLACE TO SHIP ANYTHING AND BEST UPS IN THE WORLD! I am always mailing things for work, and have had some pretty terrible experiences with other UPS stores or Fedex stores. This place is so quick, they have never messed anything up, and the staff are super friendly. I can't believe this place even has a bad review.... they are awesome and I trust them with everything I send. read more

This is my favorite UPS location! They serve delicious free coffee in the mornings from a local veteran coffee co. The wait can be long at times, but it's never been extremly slow. read more

So I needed to drop off a UPS package. This merchandise return is a pretty crappy story in itself I would LOVE to vent about. I'll stick with the UPS store Yelp because it's just the icing on this big cake of shit. I walk in with this small box and tell the guy I need to send this back and it has a pre-printed label from the company on it. Now the top of the box was not taped up. We just moved. We are out of mailing tape from taping other boxes. I thought surely they would put a piece of wide plastic tape across this small (and I stress small box). No can do. They wanted $1 for the tape and to check the contents over to make sure they won't get damaged. Huh? Wha? All the original packing material is in there! They then proceed to tell me they don't make any money off drop-offs like this and they are a separate company from UPS even though they are called The UPS store. Fine, I get it. It's only a buck. It's not going to break me. And when I am in a long line at the post office, I get annoyed with people that ask for tape at the desk and proceed to package their items to mail. But come on, nickel and diming me a buck for tape just isn't good customer service. It doesn't make me want to EVER use the UPS store again. It doesn't make me want to send things UPS over FED EX or USPS. It just makes me remember these tools at the UPS store who wanted a buck for tape and tried to give me a sob story about how they are a separate company from UPS and don't make any money off of drop offs. Well then go back to calling yourself Mailboxes ETC. You can't have it both ways! read more

I have had a UPS shipping system in my office for over 25 years but we are moving so I needed to drop off a package. The store manager was rude and when I asked for the owner's information he said "he won't talk to you." Well excuuuuuse me! This guy told me things about what UPS allows and can't do that I know aren't true because I've been dealing with them myself for a very long time. So even though he knew it was a huge inconvenience he refused to accommodate me and I had to go somewhere else simply to ship using my account number. So I went to the store at Westgate & William Cannon the very nice owner confirmed that the what the guy at the So. Lamar told me was complete baloney, which I already knew. If you have another option, go somewhere else. These guys are the pits and if you look at the reviews, that pretty much tells the story. You can ship a package at another UPS store or at either Office Maxx or Office Depot (one uses Fedex) and the experience will probably be better. read more

Want to be humiliated, talked sharply to and have a salesman make your kid cry? Then, this is your kind of store! These people are amazing on how rude they are. I went in to ship a package and they were incredibly unhelpful, mean and critical of my parenting. I'm sorry, but can you hold a 2 1/2 year old and three packages? Maybe some help with the packages so I can hold my kid? I even asked for help and got scoffed at. This place is unbelievable. I don't know how any owner can think it is ok for their employees to treat their customers this way. In fact, when an employee basically told me I was "DOING IT WRONG", I looked at the manager and said "This is how you talk to customers?" He shrugged his shoulders and said, "Well..." I go to the UPS store on West Gate, much better service and a nice family business. read more

How miserable and pissed-off are you, UPS store guy? Would it help you express your feelings better if you scowled and grumbled, while throwing boxes and packing materials, and complaining ad nauseum about how onerous the process is for returning AT&T U-verse equipment? I have been going to this UPS store for many years, this team is the best! They are super knowledgeable, very friendly, and make helpful shipping recommendations. I can't recommend this shop enough for shipping, amazon return and mailing box needs!!! read more

The absolute worst UPS Store I've ever been to (and I've been to many). I almost sued these yo-yo's for gross incompetence and negligence but decided it wasn't worth my time or aggravation. But let me assure you; if you care about decent customer service and entrusting your valuables to a business with even just a smidgen of caring or competence..stay the heck away from these people. You deserve better. There are other UPS Stores in Austin which actually care about delivering great customer service. Without going into the details of my horror story with these clowns, just know that they don't do their job like other UPS stores. You will be asked to sign a contract, but the problem is they don't do what the contract says. Everybody acts like they're deaf, dumb and blind and will just take your money without explaining to you what you're really buying --- like it says in their contract. In addition, you are dealing with arrogant, condescending and downright rude individuals behind the counter. Read the other reviews. Notice a pattern? They say a fish stinks from the head down, and that couldn't be more accurate when describing the service -- or lack thereof -- at this store. When my problem arose, I dealt directly with the owners Chuck & Maxine Dixon who assured me *profusely* that they would take care of the problem. Unfortunately for me, the problem was never taken care of and they just gave me the run around for months after that. Never even had the decency or cajones to call me back and explain their obvious decision to not come through on their promise. Well, congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Dixon -- you just earned another 1 star review! Glad to see you decided to step over dollars to pick up a few pennies. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this bad excuse of a shipping store. They don't give one hoot about you or your packages...or doing the right thing. read more

DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE!!! This is literally the WORST customer servie I've ever experience!! Let me explain: I had to get a mailbox before I moved from San Diego to Austin last month, so even after I read some bad reviews about this place, I decided to get a mailbox due to the convenient location (I live in South Lamar as well and I don't like to drive much). Setting it up took many phone calls (the guy NEVER seems to reply to my emails so I had to keep calling to check receipt of scanned forms, etc.), he was HAPPY to take my payment over the phone tho! So when I got there, problems started: I got a business mailbox where I'm allowed to have as many as 3people along with my business name. The guy in charge started to REJECT shipments sent to my business partner without even telling me, or giving me a slight notice. Not until I confronted him with tracking #s I was able to tell what was going on. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE? you are right. Today I went to pickup my mail, the guy actually TOSSED a package in the counter, I signed the little form, said 'thanks', this guy (a stupid person with a snotty attitude) didn't even say thanks back. I'm planning on putting a dispute over the charges made to get a mailbox and get a mailbox somewhere else. So hear me: DON'T GO TO THE UPS STORE IN SOUTH LAMAR. (Except if you are going to the Subway next door, they're actually pretty cool people lol) read more

I dropped off 2 packages: one was shipped properly and the other was completely lost. When I called to ask them to help, they were completely unwilling to look for the box (in the event that it never made it onto the truck). Instead, they yelled at me and told me there was nothing they could do. Jerks! read more

The most unprofessional place ever. I belong to the UPS Store in Downtown (Lavaca) and this place isn't even on the same playing field - do not go to this location. I was clear in what I needed (quote and dates) and explained that I was in the system as part of another store, so my info would make things easier. Brian who was behind the counter was RUDE. First got annoyed because I was multi-tasking but was listening, then told me to get off my cell although he wouldn't address the questions I originally asked when I got in. Ended up tossing my receipt at me and not addressing the other two letters I needed to send. Go elsewhere.. For $29 (or 6x what USPS would charge for delivery) I think they need to provide a better service. read more
