This review is a direct reflection of the recent price increases that the UPS Store has implemented. Not only am I paying $400 per year for the service, but they recently added on a number of "fees". 1) They now charge you $2 / package for going over your package "limit". Seems punative for the customers that use them the most. 2) They now charge $2 / day for every day a package sits over 5 days, and that includes the Amazon "padded envelope" packages. Get a package halfway through your 10 day vacation? Yep, that's $10 extra when you go to pick it up. The entire point of this service (to me) is convenience and reducing the stress of having to be home when a package is delivered. Unfornately, these changes have only increase my stress. I'm cancelling my subscription and finding somewhere else - even if that means driving an extra 5-10 minutes. So long UPS Store - you were great at one point, but now you suck. BTW, the folks working there are nice and friendly. I'm just tired of all the nickel and diming. read more

I don't really understand all the negative hype for this location. I've been here three times for three different types of transactions and had a great experience all three times. The employees were really sweet and accommodating with all my issues, and demonstrated a real knack for team work and helping each other out whenever one was unsure about something. It's always fairly clean, and in the three times I've gone it's been efficiently run as well. Regarding price, one time I did have to take my business to FedEx because it was a bit pricy, but I can't fault the individual store for that considering central corporate determines most of the pricing. Overall really solid and pleasant experiences, especially compared to USPS. read more

I stopped in for a few Amazon returns. I saw this location via Google maps was slightly slower than normal. The staff is very helpful and will do things like "rescue" you from a long line if you're just dropping something off. I had to ship a large number of packages that was hard to manage and the associate really helped me keep things organized. Tried called multiple times throughout the day to ask when the person in charge of notary will be available, but never received a response. Once I arrived they told me the notary guy left at 3pm, but is sometimes there until 5pm... would've helped if someone picked up the phone and told me that beforehand, there was 4 employees in there and not very busy when I came in. read more

After renting a mail box for just over a year here, I can safely say that you should avoid this store at all costs. Seriously, look at all the other negative reviews and take your business ANYWHERE else. I figured how bad can you screw up receiving packages? Unfortunately, these folks have turned it into an art form. I've never had so many packages go missing, get marked delivered and disappear, or arrive at OTHER BUSINESSES in the same strip mall. In addition, the male members of the staff are especially rude, very 'bro'-y types of people that make resolving these issues a real pain in the rear. I'm not sure what the problem is here, but they clearly don't know what they're doing and you'll save yourself a lot of grief by avoiding this place entirely. read more

EMPLOYEE CUT OPEN AND TAMPERED WITH FOOD contents within packaging during COVID19. Please do not go here - an employee opened and searched our shipment to the extent of cutting open a food product. Our food business shipped out $50 worth of product through this UPS. I just received this email from my customer "I received the four more packages the other day and we love your brownie mix. I was just concerned and wanted to let you know that one of the packages was cut open. The top was cut cleanly off and the portion cut off was not in the box. It appears that the package had been opened and inspected, even to the extent of cutting the product open. All content was there, but thought you should be aware of the condition it was in when received." We now have to ship out another $50 worth of product + $10 worth of shipping because an employee tampered with a food product. I am positive this occurred within the UPS store because read my previous review. read more

The staff at this UPS store are still great and they stopped charging me to seal the top of my boxes! Sometimes I drive further just to come to this location. It can get busy but if you go at strategic times it's not too bad. They move people through pretty quick too. read more

Can I give this place less than 1 star? Seriously, go to any other UPS Store. The person at the counter was rude af and called me "bro" three times. They refused to take my prepaid Amazon return because it was not in an Amazon box. I told him that's the way the items came to me and how the return instructions said no carton was necessary. Their co-worker interrupted with a loud "BYE." I took my five boxes to the UPS Store on S Congress & Oltorf and they accepted my shipment without any comment and were courteous. There's a young African American male with long curly hair who works here and he is the rudest person to customers. I've been coming here for over a year and his attitude was unacceptable before AND is after the pandemic hit. Check your attitude at the door and greet paying customers with delight, not disgust. read more

Awful customer service, not worth it to go in, go to the UPS off Oltorf, the employees there care at least twice as much as the ones here.

Online hours are posted as closing at 7:00. Rude customer service. UPS driver refused to take a pre-labeled package at 6:01. 5 employees standing there and refused to take the package because they were closed. Not winning any customers today! read more

The company I work for uses both UPS as Fedex for their deliveries. UPS just always finds a way to nickel and dime you. There is a $3 charge to tape up a box. Fedex has NEVER charged me a taping fee. Another annoyance is the inability to charge the tape fee to an account number. Now, I have to submit an expense report for a $3 tape charge. Fedex allows you to charge shipping fees to an account number. The nice man working said this tape fee is not a universal UPS charge, just something their owner (Toni) requires for his location. read more

Normally I'd give this place a 4 or 5, as I appreciate the customer service, but the woman who "helped" me tonight was rude and clearly just wanted to get out (it was 6:15), even after I explained I was mailing gift cards to relatives in CO who'd just lost their entire home in a fire. She wouldn't tape up the box i'd bought without charging me a full packing fee--not just the taping fee but the full fee. And they were out of the tape so I couldn't buy the tape and do it myself. Her colleague said he'd do it for me, and he did. I get that everyone is stressed with the pandemic, but some basic kindness would go a long ways. Why not just charge me the tape fee if I've already bought the box? read more

Lost my package the last time I sent one here. Literally lost it at the store so they have some level of incompetence. They weren't particularly apologetic about it either. I had to keep calling them to get them to actually process a refund for me. Wow, just got screamed at by the man working there. He got mad because I suggested he maybe use scissors to cut a label since he was struggling to rip it. I'm sure it must be stressful working here during this time of year, but wow, this guy was crazy and really out of line. I've never dealt with anybody like this before. Then they told me my package would probably be lost...like they were threatening me that they were gonna throw away my package or something. That's enough to just completely avoid this place. Dropped off a package a couple days ago and was helped by the older lady that works/owns the store. My package was 24x24x12 and was quoted 51.xx. I thought this was a little high but she gave no other solution to save money. I had previously been in the store to purchase the box from them so it was a UPS box. I just went to the website and entered my exact dimensions and weight and got a quote of 43.xx. I knew I had been ripped off but what can you do when there's not another store around my house. This employee has also charged a package fee when I had a package dropped shipped in the past. Luckily the online store credited me back the 9-10 dollars for this fee and said that she was not supposed to charge me. Maybe corporate can do something about this store since they obviously are shady charging customers extra money. Do yourself a huge favor and drive over to the Congress store. I wish I had. Also this store misplaced a att box of ours for months. We got a bill from att saying we owed them 240 dollars. Luckily we tracked down the box at this store but if we never called they would have never reached out to us. read more

Would not provide plastic wrap at the store-- They (Alfredo, 9/15/16 at 2:58pm) wanted to charge me $4 to wrap a shoebox. I drove home to get my cling wrap, and I wrapped the box myself, in the store, in front of customers. I even let Alfredo know that if he wasn't willing to spare some plastic wrap, I would leave a review on Yelp and Google Maps. (I keep my word) So, be prepared to wrap your own packages with your own plastic wrap, or have them charge you at least $4 for a small piece of plastic. Not impressed, UPS. Alfredo informed me that this is company policy. I hope he is wrong, or if he's right-- I suggest you change this policy. read more
