So. If you've read my reviews, you'll note that I am a pretty easy person. I try to be. But one of my pet peeves is bad customer service, and so, Quick Print of Congress Ave only (bc you can bet I'm gonna try some other branches) -- despite me *absolute adoration* of the work you churned out for me, 1 star because of your service. Not that you weren't friendly. Not that you didn't give me an online quote quickly, and your online quote service is easy to use. But after I picked up my order, and (admittedly, maybe this is my problem) I took your word that you gave me what I ordered because this thing was shrink-wrapped and prevented me from counting on the spot, cuz you sure as hell know I would have. And you did not give me the 30 copies with 1 cut yielding 60 cards like I requested an estimate for + ordered. And when I called, you said someone must have mis-read the order, or I must have mis-entered it. But you would gladly reprint more copies. And when I confirmed that it would be at no charge because you were mistaken, you said no, it would be at the same price I was charged. If I hadn't had so much work piled on top of me at work, you bet I woulda raised a stink. Okay, or not, because I hate yelling at people, unless it's absolutely necessary. Because really, when is it necessary to yell at people? We're all adults, we're all professional. So instead, I made my husband's 30th birthday cards work with what I had. He didn't need an extra 30+ friends & family writing down their favorite memories of him & jokes of his/theirs, anyway. read more

They were the most friendly, laid-back yet attentive to what I needed, and able to resolve my mac-word to pc-word problems in 5 minutes. These guys were great. I used them to print my graduate school portfolio- they did a stellar job. (I got in everywhere I applied!) They patiently worked with me to do some fancy French Folds on my layouts. They caught numerous mistakes I had made, and helped me find quick, good solutions. Coming from a graphic design background, the print quality is good (laser printer). Its not great, but its the best laser printing quality you'll probably find. They may be able to send it off to a digital press or offset press for better results. But all in all, I was very impressed and pleased with the pricing. read more

I LOVE Quik Print on Congress. I work for a tech start up which means last minute requests are regular. I've used multiple print shops around downtown, which have all been mediocre. They are either too expensive, or too slow. I finally decided to use Quik Print for a quick turnaround order that usually took at minimum 2 days at a competing shop. The order was ready in 2 HOURS. I was blown away. The quality, price and turnaround continues to impress me. I try my best to give enough notice, but in my industry it's difficult, and with Quik Print I no longer feel stressed if I'm going to miss a deadline. After nearly throwing myself off a 14-story building from experiences with FedEx Office, I started exploring local options. Quik Print was great. I provided them a PDF late at night and had eight presentations printed and binded the next morning. All of the people were friendly. The price was also reasonable. I literally cannot say enough wonderful things about Quik Print, and in particular Josh Justice. The man has the patience of a saint, and he has ensured that I will never go anywhere else for my printing needs. I entrusted a pretty huge job to them -- my wedding invitations. The Mister and I wanted something different, and had been lucky enough to get the services of a professional designer for free. We were thrilled with the design, but not the $600+ estimate from said designer's go-to print shop. So what were we left with? A fantastic 11x17 design and a desire to not pay more than $250. Yep, you read that right. (insert line about champagne tastes and beer budgets) Enter Quik Print. I submitted my artwork via their website and Josh got back to me a day or so later. They were one of maybe four printers I'd reached out to, and if you can believe it, the only one who actually returned my email. This made me feel grateful, but still apprehensive-- who gets their wedding invitations done at a Quik Print? Was I breaking some unspoken rule? Would they look like 10th grade student government posters? Would I blow my budget trying to fix the mess I was getting us into? I tamped all that down and ultimately forged ahead. The price was fair and their reviews were largely positive. It was also comforting to know they are half a block from my office; I figured, worst case scenario I could blow up on them in person should I become unhappy with the work. But all my worrying was for naught. From his first communication, Josh was thorough and smart. He saw how little I knew about paper blends and sizing and the whole shebang, and he was really good at offering suggestions so I could end up with just what I wanted. They printed up a sample so I could see just how things would turn out before pulling the trigger, and even worked in a last minute request for matching thank you cards. I asked a seemingly endless string of questions - to the point where I was actually getting annoyed with myself - but he answered every single one of them, patiently and quickly. Best yet, his humor made the entire process really easy, and dare I say it, fun. You know there's something special when an email from your printer can make you LOL in the car. We've gotten compliment after compliment on our invitations (and Josh knows, of course, they are the BEST INVITATIONS EVER), and we've since gone back to get more wedding-related stuff done. They have literally been the best vendor I've worked with; Josh took a very stressful time and made it a thousand times better. I showed up short on time on a rainy day before SXSWedu. I filled out their forms online in the morning and sent a file for printing. I small easy job to test their services. I got no response, no email , no phone call and I called at 3 pm and the guy that works there "Gary" was rude and a complete Idiot, he was short curt and raised his voice. He was downright condescending and acted as if they dont need the business. Where I come from customer service is first, we use alot of printing and spend about 50K a year (not big but decent). I will not do business with someone that has that type of attitude, I would be careful about these guys and it looks like they are doing all their own reviews. Dont know how they can stay in business this way! Thumbs down to them in this competitive industry, look around there are 5 printers with in walk distance of these fools. Hi everyone, Quick print of Austin used to be an honorable company till the owners son took over the day to day management. now it is not a company I would recommend to anyone. I had them make artwork for my cards, logos and business letterhead. I recently moved and needed a phone number change to my artwork...no other changes, a simple request right ? So first I fire off an email for the request the next thing is nearly a year of trying to get them to take care of me........they lost all my artwork ! they sent me some pdf of a sample that was never used...the person never even opened the file to view what they sent me ? so after several weeks of wrangling they finally agree to recreate it but need a sample to show them what my card looks like so I scan an old card and send it to them. first they got the information wrong they never sent me a proof at all just created the file, when I pointed out that it was wrong they got very defensive and this is when Mike Gravely the owners son got involved DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN HE BEHAVES LIKE A SPOILED CHILD ! he complained how I'm unreasonable and this is not their fault, he complained profusely about the time of day I send emails ? then he finally says "they have the file made and this is all he can do if I don't like it find someone else" .the file was for Chuys restaurant !! I guess in my sleep I inherited a restaurant !. so Mike Gravely decided to make the artwork again and there is a typo now in one word, first it was in all caps then when corrected it was not the same size font as all the rest and once again no proof was sent for review, they made the file without my approval and now refuse to help me correct it as if somehow its all my fault. People don't go thru it with this company there are other printers who will do a better job and correct issues if they make a mistake............ to slam a person who was only trying to change a phone number is not a good thing. to make corrections without a proof to review is simply unacceptable. read more

I had a last-minute job - a 6-ft long, full-photo banner - that had to be done and Quik Print handled my order quickly and patiently. I initially was apprehensive because I was not able to speak directly with the person printing my banner, but it ended up looking BEAUTIFUL and, having had past experiences where the final product was disappointing in comparison with what I'd designed, it meant so much to see it look better than I'd imagined! They helped resize my print image without complaint or extra charge, and my very detailed instructions and last-minute requests were fully honored. I needed some copies of a presentation for a conference being held in a nearby hotel. Quick Copy said they could do the copies but only in black and white. They kept me waiting for almost two hours. The copies were skewed. They were not stapled or fastened in any way. And for that fine service, they charged me $200! read more
