I'm a watercolor artist. Making prints of watercolors is tricky because sometimes the digital version of my work doesn't always come out true to color when printed. Travis and Sebastian make sure it does!! They make it happen, including printing my art on watercolor-type paper. The color is true and the weight of the paper is perfect! Plus? One would think that dropping off a package at an authorized FedEx Shipping Center -- a full two hours before the final scheduled pickup time -- would be a cinch for anyone to handle. Alas, that's not the case with Printing Solutions. Far worse, they're not only closed on weekends; this week they happen to be closed Monday AND Tuesday for July 4th. When you have a time-sensitive shipment that *had* to go out by the end of the week, that's simply unacceptable. While I'd normally applaud a local printing shop with much cheaper rates than FedEx Office -- not to mention an independent shop in a part of town where none exist -- there's no way on earth I'd trust them to perform a big printing job in a timely fashion seeing as they failed to perform a task that *literally* takes 15 seconds on time. While I hate giving out one-star reviews, I think the circumstances warrant it in this case. read more

This is purely about them as a Fed Ex depot. Guy who was on staff had no idea how to handle the job (sending four pieces of paper to Canada). Here are a series of the confidence-building quotes I got to hear as I patiently waited, trying to give what looked like a scrappy start up business the benefit of the doubt: -"Wow, I never get to use this thing." -"This is what I get for not having a computer." -"Does this zip code have letters? It won't let me enter letters." -"I can't find the little squiggly thing on the keyboard." After a half hour of painfully trying to resist the urge to just grab my docs and walk out the owner arrives (who is apparently the one who knows how to "do" fed ex), takes one look at my stuff and says "We don't do international Fed Ex, only domestic." Not that there is a sign anywhere out front where they advertise being a Fed Ex business that says this. The poor incompetent guy who had been struggling for a half hour was apologetic, the owner just looked at me like he didn't care at all. Their sign asked for a Yelp review, so here it is. read more

Yes they are more expensive than ordering from on-line places..but they look incredible. Travis always handles the design layout when I switch things around for new orders.. This year I had him make a quick logo for a property, charged me $50 and gave me in every file type imaginable. Not sure if that was cheep or expensive, but totally worth it to me. Huge Bonus-Travis has become a friend and manages any task I need for printing. When I need any of my logos for something I call him and he sends the right file type for the project-no charge. There's no better print shop in Austin. The head owner/manager, Travis, is a kind and open hearted person. If you're a repeat customer you will get golden treatment and perks. The prices are low. If you want to be treated like a number while doing your corporate paperwork, tuck your tie into your pants and feel free to go to fedex/kinkos. Guaranteed that printing solutions will actually take you less time in and out. My one gripe : the hours. But hey, 8-5 this is normal for a small city.
