Like the illustrious Minutemen of old, this print shop is ready to start up your print job at any moment, and delivers a killer final product. Very professionally done. We have had many double-sided, full color glossy and matte prints on cardstock here, and it's very crisply printed, colors true to our ICC, and well cut. No jagged edges here. And their turnaround is always on time or before - ie., you don't have to factor in a fudge overtime factor like you do with many shops that want to give you a good time quote but never deliver. Bottom line: great print shop, and local business, so if you have room in your budget, support local - and if you are pressed for time, you need to go local anyway, and if you do, I think now MMP is one of the top tier in Austin. read more

This print shop is great! I've been to them twice. Once I needed a 4-up flyer, and once a small sign for a health fair. Both times everyone there has been very helpful and friendly even though I had very small, inexpensive jobs. They don't charge for quick, easy design work, which I needed both times. After receiving and dealing with numerous orders that were cut crooked and the same images printed in different sizes, I decided to bring back an entire box of prints where 80% of said prints were cut poorly and completely unusable. Being tired of spending days trimming and trying to salvage previous orders that were cut crooked or off center, I showed them and they began accusing me of giving them files with the wrong dimensions. Which had nothing to do with the prints being cut crooked or off center so the white border around the images gave it away. The lady tried to argue with me but ended up conceding what was right in front of her. They are on the cheap side of some things but u really get what u pay for at this establishment. As a start-up, we've needed a lot of initial assistance and MMP been very patient and helpful along every step of the way, even setting up a meeting with the owner to choose pantones and paper! The staff is always friendly and prompt with email responses (a big thanks to Summer!). They do a great, high-quality job on all prints, digital and press, and are SUPER fast. While I wouldn't recommend always submitting orders at the last minute(for their sake!), they have always been really helpful with quick turnarounds and deliveries when we really need it. i work for a small consulting firm that puts on a huge talk show style conference for the mortgage banking industry every year - seriously, its major - we pay a production company to thousands to stage our event. anyway, we had a ton of work done by Jorge at MMPress including our company letterhead/stationary, a full color 40 page spiral bound program booklet, and regular B&W print jobs of a thousand pages or more. so you say - "what's the deal? i get stuff printed all the time." the difference was definitely in the production time and the communication. the 40 page booklet was completed in 3 days and they even delivered them to our venue waaaaay in southwest austin. also, when i had last minute problems like accidentally sending Jorge the wrong file to print and figuring this out the day before we needed them, he was able to get the right file printed within hours and even delivered those too. these guys stay late to do rush jobs like this to save ur butt ha. communication was great too. i was able to communicate with him very efficiently through email and with a tiny company like the one i work for where every person is doing a million things at a time, we definitely need paper trails. anyway, use these guys - they're good and fast! read more

I have ordered from here several times. They are fast and their prices are reasonable. BUT if you are looking for a place that uses their brain. Go somewhere else. They do their own design work here, but are in a hurry so be prepared for several revisions and an attitude if you want more. I ordered post cards this past week and asked for a line down the middle on the back (like most post cards duh!) and I got a horizontal line. Wow. That was not smart. They said they sent me a proof, but I did not see it and who needs to proof one line that the entire population of the USofA knows. Long story short, expect good prices, but brainless service and watch everything they do. If not, you will be forced by bickering collage kids to pay full price for something you can't use. I shopped around North Austin for prices on printing 150 Funeral Programs for my Dad's funeral. Card Stock, Legal, Tri-fold, Color on one side. First estimate: $350, Second: $190, MMP (Minuteman Press) $111. Seriously??? They were a very busy, vibrant and efficient shop. The employees were very kind and knowledgeable. They didn't nickel and dime me for every detail of my order like the other shops. I brought my order in Thursday afternoon, and it was ready by noon the next day. The clincher was this, though. I was getting ready to head to San Antonio after I got the order - and noticed that I had gotten the year of my Father's death wrong. 1917 instead of 2017. And it was front and center just above my Dad's picture. Not a tiny error. My husband called them immediately - we emailed MMP the corrected copy - and they reprinted the entire order in less than an hour and only charged us for the paper. Beautiful work. Great quality! Those types of kindnesses go a very long way. They were my heroes then - and will be the printer of choice for my family in the future! HIGHLY recommend. read more

We had a good relationship with MMP for years but recently discovered that the ink on our business cards was rubbing off onto the front of the card next to it making boxes of cards unusable. I received several excuses from the printing process to the paper used which means nothing to me as i consider the material used and the end product to be MMP responsibility for quality. We started the process of a new card and they were great on helping with the design, but when i asked for a credit on the cards they printed which are not usable they said the following "We spoke with management and they do not think that we are a good fit for your printing needs. Management has recommended you find another printer who can better accommodate your printing needs. As a courtesy we will void the business card order from December, however all of the previous orders will not be refunded/credited. They are past our 30 day return policy." I had expected a company to stand behind the product they were producing so they are correct that I need to find another printer. So I am disappointed that management without even talking to me threw away what i believe was a 16 year relationship. read more

MMP has the best rates, fastest turnover, fantastic customer service - they are incredibly helpful - they really care that I am satisfied with each job...that is so rare these days in business ! Hmmm.. What a shock... took a job in for a cut and perforate. Even Fed Ex can usually get it right. MMP messed up the order.... then had to listen Monique tell me how for the last 7 years we have been getting our print done wrong and it was "our fault". But that is not the kicker.... then told "You can go ahead and talk because nothing you say matters, and then I will tell you why you are wrong"... really???? Wrote note to owner/manager had it hand delivered, asking to meet so that we could all discuss this matter face to face and try to work out these problems. Got email back, he didn't want to meet and hoped I would stay a client.... think not. I also wanted to discuss another job where they informed us (after the fact) it was "impossible" to print on the back of the envelope. They ran the job anyway, sans that important piece of marketing and collected their money, we didn't know they only did part of job until we got them back to office. We then took the very self same "impossible" to print envelopes to Bartleby Press, and they immediately printed the "impossible" backs finishing MMP job. I have always been a very loyal - do business with Austin owned businesses... boy but this one burned me on the rear. If you want good prices, sometimes quick turn around, sometimes a week or more late, and inconsistent quality this is absolutely the place to use; especially if you want management not to care about your jobs or concerns.. If you want to be told by a millennial how stupid you are, and you have been doing things wrongs since she was in middle school, absolutely this is the place for you. I have to say... look at " Genevieve's" hmmm doesn't it sound like an advertisement and a post to get their rating up? I call a shill review. Yknow, It seems you always want to go with either a ridiculously low review and rant without impartial context (typically because you didn't get your last thing done perfectly after you were given warning prior, or you say you have plenty of time, and then call an hour later asking if it's done), or we tend to go high review and we keep our descriptions minimal. I'm gonna try and amalgam that together! So first off, I worked in the print industry for a little over 4 years; and when i went looking for my own needs, I investigated several different options. The keys for me were quality, affordability, and production time. Given that I have obscure deadlines, that was vital. It's been 2 years now, and the team has been phenomenal. Sometimes I have sent my orders in super last minute (okay...maybe about 70 percent of the time i do that) and the team rocks it for me! More importantly, they're always honest about if there are any printer issues or if they need more time. Summer, Eric, and Monique are my go to team! I've done banners, business cards, large order prints, and even the occassional random short orders of really random stuff. Heck, they even got a special fuser just for my larger prints (may have had others doing that size too...but hey....that's a step they didn't have to do). Definitely more affordable... and better quality. And no corporate production times established to encourage you to go do it yourself for a ridiculous cost and crappy quality. (COUGH-ends with 'OFFICE' in its name) I love my MMP crew on Longhorn; and the business will continue as long as I can! Again, going with my super corporatey printer experience prior; I love this place! It still baffles me when people go and buy a specific paper or envelope and don't actually consult their printers. TRUST ME...ASK THEM. they use the things literally 5 to 6 days a week for hours on end. Your mint green embossed with gold foil holo paper isn't going to go through that machine. Ask for proofs if you're really that concerned. There's a rule in printer land...if using your own stock, plan to bring another 50 percent just in case. Murphy's Law is real peoples. If you refuse to see a proof or answer phone calls from your printers...it's on you! Machines change, product change their materials all the time, and sometimes it's okay to be wrong and/or not be able to get something that you used to be able to a couple years ago. Shoot I can't go to the same stores in the same chain here in Austin for the same product half the time; cause they cater to their major clientele. (side note...did you know that a heat based printing machine typically can't handle an envelope because of that whole glue melts with heat? Not every printer will has that funderiferous SEPARATE device...because not everyone has that business) I digress. Short version: MMP Longhorn Rocks. Quit whining, eat some humble pie, and go back and learn what will work best for you with the tech available. Change is good, it keeps perspective. Trust me! -From a 'Millenial' who couldn't help but be irritated by another review's one sided and jaded comments. Go yelp about how your coffee was too hot or how you order food at a movie theater because you can't be bothered to go eat prior like in the decades you had to survive prior to the dine-in theater. Or possibly take a moment, write an equally lengthy review for the places you enjoy so others will take your opinion better. read more

I have been using MMP for about three years and to say they have excellent customer service is an understatement. I use them to print my designs which include hand painted illustrations, invitations, and greeting cards. The team at MMP go above and beyond to make sure our printed items are beautiful and meet my often high maintenance standards :D. We used this location to print our wedding invitations. After a brief conversation, I uploaded the files. After another phone conversation, I had to re-upload the files because they lost the original files. They decided to change the paper without first consulting us due to an envelop ordering problem. When I picked up the invitations, they informed me that they decided not to order and print the addresses on the small A2 envelopes because "it would be cheaper for us to order them ourselves". I had to pay for rush shipping to receive the envelopes in time and then had to figure out how to print addresses on A2-size envelopes. Most personal printers cannot handle A2 envelopes. The email communications were akin to what you might expect from a college student. In fact, it looks as though this business is run by students. They never would pick up the phone and call us when they had an issue or question. They are indeed fast, and the print quality is average. Customer service is lacking. Communication is nonexistent. They might be fine for what can be done at a FedEx store, but I would not count on them to get a critical job done right. read more
