John Cloud diagnosed a failed memory stick (oh no! they cost so much now!). I supplied an "extra" memory stick from one of the other computers at our church and John continued the repair diagnosing and fixing some particularly nasty software errors that had resulted from the initial hardware failure. All of our installed software now works reliably again! Great job! The machine was back in service on March 5 for a very reasonable repair cost! I somehow connected with some annoying site that invaded my computer. I could not use it because of continuous, invasive messages about viruses on my computer and the need to purchase antivirus software. I came to Frankenstein. The technician spent three minutes or so eliminating the blockage and arranging my settings to reduce chances that I will connect with similar bad actors in the future. And he didn't charge me at all for the service. Expertise and grace - what a combination!

Called around to a bunch of companies and really did my research. LightHouse really stood out in this particular area. Very professional and personable, answering my questions, explained the process they take, and you can tell that Josh is an expert and been doing this for a long time. He jokes that he was there when Al Gore invented the internet. A little cheesy but believable for how long he and his team have been doing this. I think I remember him saying over 20 years just by himself. The thing that impressed me most were the questions he asked to really understand my vision along with offering suggestions and ideas I never had thought of, nor had any of the other companies suggested. Fast forward, the entire process working with Josh, Linda, Jessica and the rest of the team was so easy and pleasant. I almost wish it wasn't done and over with. I'm excited to be seeing the results with my new site even though Josh and his team said it would probably take a couple of months to really see with traffic to the site. Even more proof of their promise of under promising and over delivering. I will continue to not only work with these guys for a long time, I have become one of their biggest fans, recommending them to everyone I know and anyone looking for a local Austin website designer. Despite multiple good-faith attempts to resolve the matter directly and professionally, the project was ultimately abandoned without completion, leaving me no choice but to pursue legal remedies. My experience was marked by poor communication, lack of accountability, and complete failure to follow through on contractual commitments. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this business.

Unlike, what I read in a review below, these guys were "quick." I did have a solid idea of what design concept I wanted for the site with our very specific needs in an easy to use document. (I encourage anyone redoing a website to do this - otherwise there is tons of time wasted on back and forth.) Space Chimp provided a good designer/developer that knew wordpress well and was very fast in his development. Anything that he did not know how to do he let me know. Communication was good from start to finish. Our site is spiabroad (com) if you want to see the work they did for my company SPI High School Study Abroad programs. They finished our site redesign in a very timely manner and have been very easy to work with since. They gave us a dedicated account manager which has been very helpful to get the periodic updates and tweaks to the site done. This past weekend our website went down due to a server hosting issue (not related to Space Chimp) and the guys came to our rescue all day long on a weekend. I was very impressed. Listen, most web people are not always the best at communication. These guys actually are. I highly recommend them for many years, but above all they simply do good work that follows all the current and up to date trends in web design and online marketing.

From the very beginning, these guys were professional and easy to work with. The sales process was easy - I liked how they setup their packages/pricing. Any time I had a question, they made sure to clearly answer it. Their response time to emails and phone calls could not have been better (most of the time, they were waiting for ME to reply!) When it came to developing the new site, these guys made it a cinch. They offered many options and example sites for me to pick design elements from and also provided feedback and ideas. I wasn't sure what I wanted the site to look like initially, but they quickly had me envisioning the possibilities. Through the design process, James was phenomenal to work with. He was extremely responsive and very detailed with his questions about the site and made sure to tell me what to expect during the process. He was very timely and got things done when he said he would. James read my (sometimes lengthy) emails describing what I wanted, and almost always hit it on the head with the first attempt. At the end of the day, the website does everything we wanted and looks great! James has also helped us since the site went live, after we decided to make a couple changes. After serval chances to let him fix the issues he did not. Instead he threw a fit then hung up on me. I cut my loses and got the work completed on my own. He is now harassing me through phone/ emails and leaving false reviews on my business pages demanding me to pay the extra money I never agreed to for work that was never done. This has been the most unprofessional, incompetent and dishonest company I have ever worked with.

I agreed with him. People want a sophisticated attorney, so everything has to reflect that image, which started with my business card. After helping me design my logo and cards, I got compliments left and right in court from potential clients about my cards and I got a ton of referrals from existing clients who had my card and could show it off to their friends then needed legal help. Now, Avamia is my go to marketing guy for everything, from my main high-end website to several custom landing pages to make more money while spending less on marketing.

Take care out there, y'all. For the first time in 28 years, I found myself alone at sea with a couple of tech issues that were increasingly problematic. Nerds in a Flash arrived late on a day that I was tightly scheduled and asked for considerably more than they had originally estimated (exactly the same job/problem I had described to them)... but redeemed themselves by cheerfully solving my problem and agreeing to the original estimate. Would I hire them again? You bet, but I recommend that you have them come in on a day that you have a flexible schedule, because your own time pressures are demonstrably unimportant to them.
