    All my son's moving and storage company was all in all very disappointing and frustrating experience. I paid a $100 deposit upon initially booking my move out and was given no confirmation email, call, or text message validating my move out appointment, leaving me to wonder if I was being scammed. I had to call myself a few days later to confirm whether my appointment was scheduled or not. When I called, they briefly went over details and gave me a quote that was around $389. They went over how they charged by the hour and I was fine by that. The day of my move comes and they give me an 11 AM to 3 PM timeframe. No attempt was made to keep in contact with me and keep me updated on when exactly they would arrive. I again had to call myself and ask where they were at. they told me around 1 PM they would arrive. The driver didn't contact me until around 1:30 saying he was about 30 minutes away. 2 PM came around and he said he was right down the road and I waited another 20 minutes. They didn't arrive and start until 2:30. The movers themselves were fine and great and very respectful, but ultimately careless because during the move out, they left a hole in my wall from moving the furniture. Finally four hours later we are all at my final destination, and I am on the phone with the manager to pay out. He tells me everything altogether is going to be over $1000, but "luckily my $100 deposit is going towards this," at this point I am fed up and furious. This is $400 over what I expected to pay. He tells me it's because of a 15% fuel surcharge (that comes from the hourly total) and an additional labor cost on top of the hourly labor that was not gone over with me at the very beginning and if it was, it was speedily glossed over. Lastly, I'm on the phone with the claims department to report the hole in my wall and the person's attitude and tone of voice was very dismissive and uncaring and made the stress of everything even worse. This company sucks and is a total scam. Don't go there. I wish I would've read the reviews before booking.

    I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with this moving company, and I want others to be aware before booking with them. I called the day before my move due to time constraints and was told they had professional movers available. They arrived on time at 10 AM, but things went downhill quickly. Despite claiming to be professionals, the way they packed was careless and disorganized. They threw all my clothes together in piles, placed my bathroom trashcan next to my clean clothes and closet items, and used excessive amounts of tape and materials--without asking me first--and later charged me for it. I was also never informed ahead of time that I would be charged for things like gas and packing materials. I only found out about these hidden fees when they showed up and halfway through the move presented me with an iPad showing a total that was nearly double the amount I had been quoted. When I pushed back, they threatened to take my belongings to a storage unit instead--basically holding my items hostage unless I agreed to pay. While three of the four movers were kind, respectful, and understanding, the fourth mover took over 30 minutes just to reassemble my bed--even though the rest of the crew had finished their work. It felt like he was intentionally delaying the process so they could charge me for more time. He could have easily started earlier and finished with the others. I was told I'd be refunded for unused time, but that refund never came. The real issue here isn't the movers themselves (except for the one who dragged his feet)--it's the company's management and call center. I was never clearly told about additional fees, and their handling of the billing felt manipulative. After a heated discussion with the general manager, I later found out he had looked up my LinkedIn profile, which felt like a total violation of privacy and was extremely unprofessional. This company misled me, overcharged me, and treated me with complete disregard. I would never recommend them. If you do decide to book, make sure you get every detail in writing--including all possible charges--because you will not get transparency from their team.

    Sexual Assault, No Apology, No Accountability - Austin South One of All My Sons' movers sexually assaulted my wife during our move -- non-consensual physical contact while she was alone in a room. We filed a police report the same day. Austin Police investigated, and the case is now filed in Austin Municipal Court as a Class C misdemeanor. The company acknowledged this in writing but never once called, emailed, or reached out to apologize. Zero contact. They also damaged our property. When I filed a claim, they sent a settlement agreement with a gag clause that would have prevented us from speaking publicly. I refused to sign unless they removed it. They refused. I've attached emails showing their written acknowledgment of the sexual assault report, my request to narrow the gag clause, their refusal, and their complete lack of follow-up after a police investigator visited their office. No apology. No accountability. No resolution. Just a company that protects itself, employs movers with dangerous behavior, and still expects the victims to pay thousands for the privilege.

    Do not use All My Sons. They wasted so much space in my storage unit I had to rent a second unit. They left items unwrapped. Stacked items up in some places, while leaving fragile items unwrapped. At one point I saw a lightbulb just left out that they had on their truck. I am horrified by the damage and lack of respect for my things. They "packed" up boxes by stuffing items they had broken yet did not inform me of, but then leaving said boxes open and just thrown into the storage unit. I am so disappointed. They damaged the house by scratching the floor, walls, and doors. I can't even imagine the damage I will find as I unpack this storage unit.

    Movers wasted time and tape as the move was 1 floor down! Won't be using them again! Best to get bids before committing.

U-Haul likely made a mistake on marking their fuel gauge and I, two hours behind schedule, signed off on it. Items were loaded on-site from a pod and driven ten miles, half-filling a 15' box truck. A singular tool chest was then driven six miles one way and six miles back to the depot. A total of 22 miles. I had estimated based on load and distance to refill around 2 gallons of fuel and returned it slightly past closing. Checked the receipt the next day and was billed an additional 5 gallons of fuel (~$25) claiming it didn't match what was signed off. That's ~7 gallons of fuel for 22 miles. It doesn't take much brain power to realize that a half-filled 15' box truck does not drive THREE MILES TO THE GALLON. The only figure I can think of that gets anywhere near this number is a Bugatti going at over 250 mi/hr. If whoever I spoke to the on the phone was willing to work with me and ended up billing me for an additional gallon or two, I would find that an acceptable resolution. The fact that a representative was unwilling to relent on the impossibility of a box truck getting 3 MPG speaks a lot about their customer service skills or lack thereof.

    STAY AWAY! READ THIS! Massive fire burned down most of the units in the middle of the complex and…read moremanagement never emailed or called me to inform me what happened. Luckily my unit wasn't damaged but I was shocked that nobody informed me of what happened. Showed up today to access my unit and noticed my lock had been cut off and replaced with a red lock that said see manager. Nobody is ever working at the office anymore so I called their listed number with no answer so I left a voicemail wondering what happened to my unit that is fully paid and why again I WAS NOT NOTIFIED about whatever is going on with my unit! It appears that it was broken into because there are many units near me that have the same red lock on them and evidence of cut pad locks on the ground. Spoke to a fellow renter in the complex and he said there have been people living in some of the units that have been trying to break into other units that he has had to run off before. There are cameras in the complex and supposed to have in-person security but he said it was so bad he installed his own cameras too. I've been trying to reach management for days and they will not answer or return my calls so I have no choice but to get a lawyer and press charges. STAY AWAY! UPDATE 4/21/20: Spoke to employee of management company that was hired by the owners last year and he told me that there were over 30 units broken into and they are going the video surveillance but the quality of the cameras the owners use is "subpar". Also found out that the on site security only comes by 4 times a night which consists of the security guard doing a quick drive through of the tiny facility (should take 1-2 mins) and then security leaves. Yet, their website says they have on-site security there "almost around the clock". A complete lie. Owners have known about the homeless staying in empty/broken units for years and have been warned about the subpar quality of their cameras for a long time but refuse to put any money into needed repairs or security issues. Hello Lawsuit!

He talks to much but he is always around. -Yes there are bands that rent here and play at night. Nothing like working on stuff with free live (pretty good) music -They take cash, 24 hour access -lots of cameras, good security for such a shady place -No limits. do what you want in your unit. Bottom line: This place is shady as hell. But it has a bathroom, free pallets, awesome customer service, and complete and total privacy, I do what I want when I want, and this is very important to me. I work on vehicles and these guys were cool with it.

    Horrendous Experience, Locked Out of Our Paid Unit, Zero Accountability…read more We had one of the worst customer service experiences of our lives with US storage. After signing the contract, my husband tried to buy a lock from them--something completely standard--but none of their locks worked. They told us to bring our own, which we did. When we showed up on move-in day, with movers ready and all our belongings packed, we discovered they'd locked our paid unit and the facility was closed. Nobody would help us. Their so-called "support" simply told us to come back the next day, as though leaving a loaded moving truck waiting overnight was an acceptable solution. We were forced to scramble at the last minute to find a different storage unit (shout-out to CubeSmart for saving the day). This caused us extra costs in mover fees, wasted time, and a massive amount of stress. To top it off, they refused to refund us for a unit they made completely inaccessible. The level of disregard for our situation, the total lack of professionalism, and the refusal to correct their own mistakes is beyond appalling. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, stay away from US storage. They are disorganized, unresponsive, and have no sense of accountability once they take your payment. This was an infuriating, stressful ordeal, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I'm looking into a lawyer to get the refund for a unit we could NEVER use!

Just advertise the prices that you require to stay in business. Why make a practice of deceiving people and then taking advantage of them once their stuff is on your property. It's sad that these business practices are legal.
