I've used this store many times and never had a bad experience, but what brings me to Yelp is what made me a.loyal customer forever. I called to ask about notary services and they said the notary would be available for the next 20 minutes. I raced over to get there in time, expecting to be resented for being the one thing preventing them from ending their work day. Instead, she cheerfully asked if I was the person who just called (as I stood there fumbling with my paperwork). She helped me settle into the space where we would complete the task and asked what I needed to be notarized. When I told her it was legal paperwork related to a recent death in the family, she kindly offered condolences and gently walked me through the rest of the process. She was professional, efficient, and wonderfully human. Can't recommend this store highly enough, and if you need a notary, this is the place to go! read more

In my entire lifetime, I've only had a perfectly consistent experience UPS experience in College Station, TX. This UPS is a close second! In my last 10 experiences, I've only had one negative experience with a staff member. Otherwise, dropping off returns is a breeze and I've trusted this location with my AT&T router return among other expensive items. My favorite employee always makes sure to tell me to take pictures for proof of return and remembers to give me a printed receipt. I will continue to use this store! read more

This store is great. The staff and owner are all very nice and so helpful. They can get quite busy at times, but the line always moves fast. The self-service kiosk is always easy to use and the staff is super helpful if you get tripped up. Our Amazon package returns always get processed and I never worry a package won't make it. I'm so thankful they're closeby and easy to access. Plus, they're open Sundays now! Parking can be tricky in the shopping center at times so I try to avoid going at peak lunchtime. read more

I have been to many UPS stores before so I know that many times they really don't care about the customers. I like this place because every time I go they have really great customer service. I end up having to return a lot of Amazon things because sometimes I can be very indecisive and this has been my go to UPS store. I really like that they have a self-serve area so I can just do everything myself and I don't have to worry about standing in line or talking to anyone if I don't have to. If I have issues with the self-service area, they also are very helpful as well. Other UPS stores don't have the self service area and sometimes they are not helpful. I like this place because everyone is nice and for some reason every time I've been the line hasn't been too long! read more

This location is always busy but the line does go pretty quickly. After numerous visits, I decided I had to write this review. I have encountered one particular employee on several occasions and she is beyond rude. First, she doesn't say a word to me, and absolutely never thanks me. Tonight, despite her calling for the next customer and me walking up, she stood there texting on her own phone throughout our entire encounter. Not just once, multiple texts. In addition, she legit sighs out loud as if she is the most unhappy person on the planet, This has really soured my experience at this location. Just a heads up for folks that ship a lot as I do. I sell quite a bit of stuff online. Ebay and other sites. One thing I have always liked about the UPS stores is that they accept US Postal stuff for pickup. Big time saver I was informed this afternoon, that this location no longer accepts any US post larger than a envelope? Not some huge box either. About the size of the large Priority Mail package. In fact, this is one of the reasons I often use UPS over Fedex, is that I can make one stop to drop off packages. I wonder of this is the case for all UPS stores now? If so, they no longer have the same advantage. This, and the awful parking lot will not have me coming back. read more

I've done quite a few Amazon returns at this location over the past year. Location is a dead zone for my mobile. They do have wifi, but the signal isn't very good which results in it taking a long, painful process to process a few returns. I went there a few days ago and couldn't even get it to load the QR codes to process my returns. I left and went to the UPS Store location on 34th St. Similar dead zone issue but wifi service was stellar. I'd be going to the 34th street in the future. read more

Convenience isn't always all it's cracked up to be! The 51st St. store is staffed with some people who were never taught to handle a rare exception. The associate wasn't rude, and possibly not empowered to use common business sense. I wanted to drop off a prepaid return and the POS scanner could not read my return label. The only options offered were to return home and reprint the label or pay $4 for a copy of the return authorization i had on my phone. Nope! Another employee popped off with her opinion to all in-store regarding my experience as I left. She needs to pursue other interests. I've heard her on a few too many occasions. No more. I found a better choice. I left and went to Staples on Barbara Jordan. It took less than 5 minutes to process my request. The service was perfect! read more

I was there today and watched the manager very professionally and calmly communicate with a disgruntled customer who was there to play hero for his wife. The wife was rude and upset about Amazon rules regarding tape. The manager is the nicest guy, seemingly doesn't have the ability to be rude. So the husband interrupted the line of people shipping packages pre-Christmas to attempt to dress down the manager. It didn't work because so many people actually knew the manager and have been coming here for years that multiple people came to his defense. It was incredible to see so many people rally behind the manager because of all their unique positive interactions with him over the years. This UPS has it together. read more

It's beautiful clean and safe there are so many other businesses too Let me tell you about the the wonderful UPS store there I use it constantly because being slightly dull witted I order online items to be returned EVERYONE there is friendly, professional and proficient. Everyone I suffer from crippling RA and at times my hands and fingers are useless. Yesterday was Monday and it was morning. Long lines. An associate named Tom took the time to tape and affix my two packages. ***This SPECIFIC store lied to me about the UPS parcel insurance policy, but I am posting this review on ALL UPS Store sites to warn people not to use UPS unless you're using Amazon or have loads of extra $ and/or are ridiculously lazy and have UPS package your items.*** DO NOT SHIP ANYTHING VIA UPS unless you're rich and have them package your item for you. Even if they CRUSH your box in transit, they will deny reimbursement. You may be TOLD at a UPS Store that the package contents of a package you pack yourself are covered if the box is damaged in transit, but that is not true. The writing of the shipping contract you sign absolves them of all responsibility no matter what. And if you contact UPS Store corporate and tell them what you were told, they will tell you you are SOL because you signed a contract at time of shipping that said otherwise. If they DO damage your box in transit they will say a perfectly good box wasn't good enough, you didn't use SIX INCHES of bubble wrap (seriously?) all the way around, etc., etc. -- which is all a moot point since again, they absolve themselves of all responsibility in the fine print, anyway. I have been an active eBay seller for 20 years and I have never had an item arrived damaged -- I know how to package things well. I only use UPS for oversized items because for that category alone they are cheaper than USPS. Luckily, UPS never damaged a parcel before (only used them 4 times), but now it has happened and now I see how dishonest they are. It is not worth the cost savings. Yes, they charge $10-15 less for large/heavy parcels as compared to USPS, but since you have to pay them $10-25 to package your items to actually protect your item, the cost benefit is negated anyway. Gas up at the HEB pump, grocery shop at HEB, liquor up at Twin Liquors, grab a quick bite at Torchy's/MOD pizza/Vert's/Xian, then take care of mailing needs at the UPS Store. Besides being handily located, this store has other positives going for it. It looks clean and tidy, and the few times I've been in, employees have been quick to acknowledge me. Five stars for a UPS Store? Yeah, let me tell you why... These locations offer pretty much the same set of services: packing, shipping, insuring items, etc. And honestly I've never had a really bad experience at any of them. But I've been to this store - owned and managed by Sam Patel - and always has good service. My last visit though convinced me he's the man and I'm not shopping around any more when it comes to shipping and receiving. I was returning an item I'd purchased online - kind of a bulky heavy item actually - and because the vendor (no need to name them) is incredibly cheap the would not offer at-home pickup. They sent me a label and made me return the item to them. Only problem was the first label they sent was in some indecipherable software: nothing I tried would let me read it much less print it. After some back and forth they sent another label in something similar to a PDF but for some reason it printed out in a tiny point size. I mean tiny. No matter what I tried I could not enlarge the label. I went to see Sam. Problem solved. Send me the email he said, providing me the store's email address. I hung out for five ministers while it got through their virus scrubbing protocol, and then he said, is this yours? Yep, I said. Well give me a minute he replied, and then he went to work re-sizing and printing a label that would be acceptable. Perfect. I went and got the bulky item I was SICK of carrying around in my car, and by the time I got back in, Sam had the label ready. I dropped the package on the counter, he applied the label, and DONE. Everything should be that easy. You should also know as this was going on Sam was zooming back and forth around the shop talking with his two employees, chatting with customers - a couple he knew by name (always a good sign) - and handling the odd telephone call. You've seen those owners that hang around arms folded across their chest not doing a thing while the workers sweat? Sam's not one of them. Do yourself a favor. Save time and patience and go see Sam and his team at this 51st Street location. You'll be glad you did. read more
