Insane how much of a scam this was. Went in to print something on 2 pieces of copy paper and the total was 0.43 cents- amazing. But I was charged for 10 dollars?? After many calls I finally was made aware that using their computers in store made up this difference. When I went in store there was no sign that said this, the workers did not tell me, and the receipt did not indicate. Honestly they could've charged 1000 bucks to use their computers and I wouldn't care if they told their customers that so I wouldn't have used it. The fees were truly hidden in this one! read more

Walked into the store at June 19th at 2:55 PM and received full attitude from one of the employees. No disrespect to the manager/owner of this UPS store, but you need to get your employees in check. The lady working at the front did not respectfully provide services and rather treated me as a nuisance. She raised her voice and even degraded me with negative comments for not knowing where the computer is to print. Definitely will not come back at all but I wish you the best in business. read more

They basically refused to help me. I needed to ship a package and have it returned to me, so I wanted to pay for the return shipping as well and make it as easy as possible to for the recipient (my client) to return it. This UPS store refused to create a prepaid return label saying it was store policy to not do that. I just had the worst UPS Store experience ever. My heart is still racing! This was the first time I ever came to this particular location (512 W MLK Blvd), and I only did so because it closed at 7pm. I came in at 6:50pm with two large, heavy, already packed & labeled packages. Blonde ponytail dude was the only associate there, helping his last customer of the day. I did not need any help, so I took my packages to the counter, told him I was just dropping them off, and headed to the door. Don't even act like this isn't a standard practice in all shipping facilities since the beginning of printable labels. I worked at a FedEx Office for 6 years, and have done & seen this practice in countless UPS Stores and USPS offices. It's most definitely a thing. Normally, they'll say, "Just dropping off? Do you need a receipt? No? Great have a nice day!" But instead, blonde ponytail dude ordered (yes, ordered) me to turn around, go get my packages from 7ft away from him, and bring them to him so he could weigh & scan each one... THEN he asked if I needed a receipt! ...SERIOUSLY?? Of course I didn't need a receipt! I was clearly just dropping them off & exiting! Did this guy not receive enough hugs as a child? The couple he was helping looked at me with pity for how he was treating me. It was embarrassing! You might say, "He was just doing his job!"... Well, I'm sorry, but his JOB is to help customers who need help, weigh/scan/move packages, and BE NICE! He could have weighed & scanned my packages during any of the next TEN minutes of his day. Barking orders at me to carry my heavy-ass packages to him after I was halfway to the door is just him being an asshole on a UPS Store power trip! I felt like he was trying to "put me in my place"... As if that's what I need from a random stranger, especially one representing a large company. From what I can tell by other reviews of this location, the whole staff needs to get non-client-facing jobs. You're all too rude for this industry. read more

Went to this UPS today with a pretty decent line. Day after Labor Day so people had package needs (me included). Kat was working alone, and she was perfectly efficient and friendly to both the line and each individual customer. It kept a steady 7-8 people deep, and she's answering the phone between every 2-3. She was transparent that her manager had to go to the doctor and held no ill will towards him for having to leave. She was professional and charming despite the circumstances. read more

Super friendly staff, this was the first time I ever sent an item via UPS myself, and the young man working the front desk couldn't have been friendlier. I didn't have any tape at home to close up my box, so they did charge 50 cents, but that wasn't a big deal at all. I was very satisfied with the customer service, and if ever I need to return or ship anything, this UPS store will be go-to location. I've used this UPS location for the last four years at UT out of convenience, and I can't think of a single time that I've walked out of here pleased with the service. My patience has worn so thin over the last few weeks that I created this Yelp account solely for the purpose of writing a review. Joseph is constantly scolding fellow coworkers in front of customers -especially the blonde guy with the pony tail (your name has somehow slipped my mind. Apologies). It's uncomfortable being in the store when the two are working together due to Joseph's treatment. The ironic part of his behavior is that he is almost never working the register or helping customers. Pony tail guy will be serving a long line of customers while Joseph scrutinizes his every move from the other, inactive register. If you're going to bitch at blonde pony tail guy, at least do it while ringing others up. It's inefficient and childish behavior. This review does not stem from a one time occurrence. I've witnessed this behavior consistently since freshman year. This UPS branch is overall slow and the coworker dynamic is inappropriate. read more

Wow, what a spectacular UPS store! I swung down to the store around 9pm thinking it was a 24-7 dropoff location. It turned out to be a store that closes at 7pm! Two of the store's commited employees, Chris and Jospeh, happened to still be around working overtime. They were sympathetic to my plight and allowed me to drop off my package. These two are fine representitives of what UPS stands for, even after hours. I will never forget stellar work ethic and compassion that Joseph and Chris have. Really disappointing service. I went in this morning to send a package to my mom abroad, while I was in the store I asked for help on which envelope to send and the man working was so rude about it. He spoke to me as if I was a child or incompetent. During checkout he took a phone call and completely ignored all of the customers. He then asked me if someone else could go ahead of me, I felt uncomfortable and said yes. I used this store quite a bit because of the location but I can't handle the horrible store manager anymore. He was always rude and had attitude. He scolded other store employees right in front of customers. The final straw came when my perishable (birthday present) package was not delivered as guaranteed within 3 days. The manager refused to refund the value of the package. It was only $20 so more about the principal of the matter. I'll make sure and let all my friends know not to use this store as they seem to care more about $20 than their reputation. read more

Melissa Lowery in the last week Horrible experience with this UPS. The store clerk, Ann, argued on the phone with me about a package that didn't have a suite number on it. She argued saying the "woman" that helped me would ALWAYS tell me to check the address before signing my slip...however, I had a MALE help me and he just told me to sign on the bottom line. I was never told to check the address to make sure it was correct....I've NEVER been asked to do this when shipping a package. So Ann tells me that I need to pay for shipping AGAIN, when it cost $11 in the first place to ship something that isn't even a quarter of a pound in weight. The fact she sat there arguing with me and HUNG UP the phone when none of this was my fault, and I was misinformed on checking the address, shows how unprofessional this staff is. I called back once I was rudely hung up on to talk to the manager and he told me I either needed to pay or pick up my package. This is not right and customer service was awful! read more

Hi, I think this is the UPS store 2258 in Austin, and I just have to comment on the amazing customer service I had - especially from Kelli. Had a really disappointing experience shipping a very expensive piece of equipment, but they managed to work with me and get it all taken care of. Kelli even sent me an actual thank you note which I found amazing. If I were ever to ship anything, this is where I would go, and Kelli is amazing at resolving issues and just providing the best customer service around. This UPS store is the best! I had to move my daughter back to California (due to being injured in an auto accident.) I wasn't sure whether to send her belongings back via truck (it was too expensive) or really, how best to do it. I happened to call this specific UPS store, as it turned out, not even the closest store to where my daughter lived. Roger was the one who helped me with this move! He was willing to do anything to help me. After helping me with what supplies I needed, he even delivered them to my daughters apartment. He brought all the supplies and even let me borrow a tape dispenser. He said he would buy back any supplies I did not use. (I used every supply he brought!). He even came to pick up my boxes which was of great help since I had 15 large boxes and would have never been able to fit them in my small rental car. (We were on the 2nd floor, too!) He even took my USPS boxes I had ready to ship (I had already prepaid them) and shipped them out the day I requested. He also made it easy for my daughter to return her AT&T cable equipment by taking it for us. Price was reasonable for my shipment. I am very thankful to roger for going above and beyond for me to make this move as painless as possible. Thanks Roger! I would highly recommend this USPS store for anyone's needs! read more
