All I've ever had to do at this location is pick up and drop off, but everyone is always friendly and the wait is never too long, if at all.

I had a client fly down from the state of Washington to have a maternity cast done for her and her husband. They wanted me to ship the final sculpture back to them through UPS. They spent over a thousand dollars to fly down, rent a car, and have me perform this service for this once in a lifetime moment, and the careless packing and handling of this corporation ruined everything. I wish they chose any other method. I brought the sculpture to the UPS store, and everyone I dealt with was nice enough, but the sculpture arrived at the clients house shattered. If this was an isolated incident, it would still be unforgivable, since getting packages safely to their destinations is their only job, but it happened not 3 days before to another client of mine who had her casting shipped to Florida. Both clients are in the process of filing claims, but I know it is standard policy for UPS to take the damaged item if they issue a refund. This is unacceptable in this case. The couple can not have another maternity casting done, and UPS is making them choose between settling the claim, or getting stuck with a broken sculpture with no compensation. Lost my receipt but I went in on either September 16th or the 19th 2022. I was greeted by Nina, I asked a few questions and I needed a minute to get my paperwork together. By the time I turned around she was busy with another customer. I was then helped by Sophia. I asked her a few questions and she answered them and then proceeded to take my paperwork and scan it. And then emailed it to myself. Then she made a copy of all 20 pages for me. I've been using this store for several years. Everyone is always so friendly and helpful and nice. Even if there is a line to wait it moves fairly quickly. I've recommended this store to several of my neighbors who now use the same store. He's always clean. The prices are reasonable. And the staff go above and beyond to assist each customer. I'll be back soon again. read more

I've only used this location to send a pre-paid UPS package during SXSW. This was right after their grand opening. They were giving away all sorts of cool and handy "remember us" advertising items, like letter openers with a small ruler on them, pens, and key chains. They showed me the store, and touted their ability to print large color posters (samples on the walls). OK, so they did nothing specific to deserve five stars other than wow me with their capabilities, but they also did nothing to break the faith. And they treated me with respect even though I didn't have a money-making proposition for them. This business is such a breath of fresh air compared to the mean and angry Asian woman who runs the UPS Store by HEB in Oak Hill or the ripoff artists at the UPS Store on Westgate. And the solution they offered was for me to pay again for notary services and pay again to have the replacement documents reshipped. Just make it make sense. The young man behind the counter notarized our documents quickly and efficiently with a smile. So friendly (behind his mask) . They charge $6 per stamp, no appointment needed. Dropping of Amazon returns here is super easy. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I would rate this part 5 stars for sure. Three stars come into play when you factor in the cost to ship things here, which is crazy high! I've found FedEx to be substantially cheaper each time. I tried to ship a set of roof rails, which are a weird shape but less than 15lbs, and they quoted $280 and two weeks. The other guys shipped the same package for $45 in 3 business days. Easy in and out location. I haven't looked into the PO Boxes, but off hand I know they're a bit more than USPS boxes. read more

The workers here are friendly and nice, they themselves deserve 5 stars. But, the owner has decided to charge $3 to print shipping label. This is an obnoxious fee and for that 1 star. So if you have a return thru Zappos or Amazon, make sure you have your shipping label printed out before you get to the store. read more

Well, I just thought about what three minutes are worth in a UPS store, and I've concluded that if the employee is observant, like Jeffrey was, three minutes will add up to this: 1) Lightning fast assessment of our UPS needs (Sending back AT&T equipment, though it's really kind of obvious). 2)Calm and cool execution of the transaction, all the while giving us friendly instruction on what to do. 3) Tap, click, and print our receipt, a "You guys have a nice day!" and three minutes are up, albeit three of the most efficient minutes I've ever witnessed. Had a standard customer service experience and paid somewhat dearly to return my Keurig to the manufacturer for service. There was an elderly woman who walked at a snail's pace (quite literally), accompanied by her lightly mentally challenged son ahead of me in line. They had difficulty in efficiently navigating the process of purchasing a service and putting it on a credit card. They also had difficulty with the social norms of talking at reasonable volumes and making reasonably subtle comments about their current experiences and observations of the world. I was behind them in line, and wrapped up my transaction, and literally beat them out of the door of the store - mercifully, as I would have painfully waited another 45-60 seconds just for them to navigate the doorway. Experiences like this cause me to have some thoughts. Among them, in no particular order are 1) gratitude for my able mind and body, 2) wonderment at their ability to remain alive and (relatively) well in the world, 3) a fleeting thought that Darwinism is absolutely dead in relation to humans, 4) a feeling of profound empathy (that is being weakened by the minute I am delayed into rush hour traffic by my errand and unplanned detainment). read more

I am new to Austin. I moved here from Chicago where I had a mailbox at a UPS store for a business I worked with. The guys there were so helpful with any box issues or with any incoming or outgoing mail. So I move to Austin and used this store several times and am surprised by the anti customer service vibe there. I persisted as I have to mail things back to my office in Chicago. I mailed a gift card to an employee in a mailer with a tracking number for obvious reasons. The mailer I selected was selected to prevent someone from being able to tell a gift card was there. I also mailed some documents in a separate mailing. The gift card never arrived. I called UPS and they referred me to the store to file a claim. I called the store and they were reluctant to help or file the claim but did. They called back several days later saying I was to be refunded the cost of the postage and mailing but nothing else. Now while I didn't really expect them to cough up the cost of the gift card I did expect some empathy, some concern and maybe an apology. Nothing - very cold. Of course someone in that store has my gift card . I won't go back. read more

It took nearly an hour for my wife and I to get passport photos. The young gentleman was having issue with the camera. When he told his manager, Jenna, that it wasn't working, she just struggled her shoulders and went on with her business. He also had trouble printing the photos. It took him several attempts to print them. Knowing that we've been waiting a while, she still continued to interrupt the process by jumping onto the computer he was using to print our photos, and did not assist him. I hope she's not responsible for training employees at UPS, because she sets a bad example. The young man was very nice and polite, just inexperienced, most likely due to poor guidance. read more

let me tell you why i hate this place. i dont write many negitive reviews but i actually gave a little chuckle when i saw the opportunity. let me start you off with a little background on the day that i went here. woke up early, had the the day off, forgot it was veterans day. went to the post office to buy POST CARD stamps. (you will understand the caps in a minute.) the post office was closed. i went to the library (yay reading!) it was closed. i then remembered that there is a ups store right around the corner and hey i bet they have stamps. so i go in- here's the dialog- me- "good morning, do you sell post card stamps?" lady cashier- "yes we do. how many would you like?" me- (unwilling to do the math in my head)- "how much would 50 cost?" lady cashier- "ummmm, like 50 dollars." me- "hmmm..." (obviously this is not correct) i'm thinking at this point i'll just say that i would like to purchase them and then see how much they ring up to. the correct amount would be $11.50 btw, seeing that post card stamps are .23 cents each. me- "ok, i'll take 50." lady cashier- "well i don't know if i can do that, because that would mean splitting a roll. let me get see." so she goes and gets cashier guy. cashier guy- "ok, how many do u want?" me- "how much would 50 stamps cost?" cashier guy- "like 20 dollars" by now i'm a little more than a little confused. so i say (just to gain a little clarification) - me- "how much 100 stamps cost?" home boy gives me this look like i'm THE stupidest person ALIVE and then says- cashier guy- "well lets see, stamps are 42 cents each... 100 stamps... 100 times 42 cents.... would be for-ty two dol-lars... (this last part he pronounciates so as not to confuse me) me- "ok but i dont want 42 cent stamps, i want POST CARD stamps." cashier guy- "oh we dont sell post card stamps." wow. i walk out mad and feeling like an idiot. even though i am clearly NOT the idiot. booooo ups store. I had a slew of different items to return to amazon via UPS and USPS instead of the drop off locations and went to my nearest UPS to print the labels with the intent to mail the specific ones not included for UPS delivery at the post office. However, when I arrived I was told their computer was down and they would print the labels out for me for a flat fee. After emailing them the Amazon labels, Chris was very efficient in printing them and informed me that they can also handle the USPS items and already started applying them to their respected packages with my direction. He was very kind and patient with me when, admittedly, I initially was not. Chris also was incredibly helpful in explaining a shipping issue Amazon had (Amazon is making me pay for shipping to return a pair of shoes to China when they came from a local warehouse) and gave me a quote with UPS and USPS for what it would cost me and other suggestions on reselling them to resolve my situation as positively as possible. I did not expect to have everything handled so quickly at one stop and I cannot stress how invaluable an employee Chris is as a fellow customer service vet myself. I will absolutely return and hope they resolve the computer issue for the employee's sake as it is clearly tedious and inefficient overall. read more
