The staff has always been friendly at this location. Even though it's popular and quite busy, they tend to get through the line at a quick pace. I appreciate the self-service desk as well. Weird experience. I was returning 3 Amazon items. For some reason, Amazon printed one return label for 3 items so I had to buy a box. Necessary evil, not this store's fault at all. Get to the store and every other customer in there is just returning Amazon items. The lady helping us is really struggling to find the right size box. Jo (who was friendly, competent but unfortunately busy with other customers) comes to help her measure the box and it's $6 and change. Fine. I'll gladly buy the box that I need. On top of that $6, they will charge another $10+ to ship it. Mind you, I have a shipping label. The young lady could not articulate exactly what that $10+ charge was other than putting the stuff in the box and sealing it. Alternatively, she said I could buy (ridiculously marked up) tape. Thanks for the condescending permission to buy tape. TL;DR: they'd rather have no money than some money. Mandatory one star for existing. read more

They are very nice until there is a problem. A package was delivered for me, and signed for, but they couldn't find it. As far as the staff was concerned it was just an unfortunate occurance that wasn't their fault. They didn't apologize, they didn't try to resolve the issue, nothing. I pay a fairly substantial annual fee to rent a box and receive my packages safely. Luckily I get most of them, but not this time. read more

When and apparently difficult customer was having a time-consuming issue, the guy helping him asked someone else to come out to help me because I had been waiting there for a few minutes. Edit to respond to management: It sounds as though you have spoken with Avery to get her side of things since you were not present during the transaction. You are correct that I had three boxes. One of the boxes had never even been opened and required no taping. The other two boxes were opened along the top seal with a box cutter and only required one piece of tape to be correctly and sufficiently sealed--which, does not cost $3. I took the boxes to another UPS store and they had no problem shipping them without being capitalists. UPS is a drop off location for *free* Amazon returns. When I've used this location in the past, it's never been an issue. Today, Avery tried to charge me $3 to tape a package. Three dollars. Do you know how many rolls of tape $3 buys you when you purchase in bulk like I'm sure UPS does? Pennies. Also in the past I've never even brought the item in a package, it's just been a lose item that they packaged up for me. So somehow me trying to do an extra step for them by packaging it up was going to cost me money. So dumb. Next time I need to send something that isn't free, I'll spend my $3 with FedEx. read more

First, you call and ask if they do Amazon returns. "Yes we do". Then you drive to the store and haul your heavy box inside. Very nice man asked if I had a return code, and we both looked at the info Amazon emailed me. "You'll need to print that out, and our computer starts at $2.95 to log on". Very nice man, did not mislead me about the cost. So I swiped and logged on, hit print. Nothing happened. Nice man tries to help me, refills paper etc. While I'm still paying for the internet access. Finally with help, the label prints. As very nice man goes to paste label on box, another employee looks at it and says they can't return box for me, I have to take it to Gregory gym, as the label states. Again, very nice people. Do you do Amazon returns? "We do, but you'll need to have a return label printed, and there are some items we can't take" TYVM. read more

The employees are not helpful in the least, they are completely content to let you waste time and money instead of trying to help you. I'm too mad to go into specifics right now. However, I will say that anyone trying to get themselves a passport should seek out other options for getting a photo/printing the forms. I've typically had a good experience with Amazon drop offs which is why I'm leaving 2 stars. I went in two weeks ago with a prepaid shipping label to mail a UPS envelope which they kept in stock behind the counter. Last week I had a package to mail. I paid $40 for UPS Next Day Air Saver with a prepaid shipping label. I went in with the package contents and asked for an express box. The lady said they did not carry UPS boxes in store because the franchise owner chooses not to carry them. Really? So then I asked how much was a box... apparently you can't purchase a box... you have to pay for the item to be packaged. So what at any other store should not have cost a dime cost me $10.63 to get packaged. Then, today I got a notification from UPS that I owe another $4.11 because of the weight/size change. At the end of the day, it seems the franchise owner purposely does not carry boxes to make extra money. read more

Been going to this UPS Store for over a year now and typically work with Joseph. He is always friendly and helpful with any issues I may have. He ensures my packages are delivered in a timely manner and has guided me how to scan and print when at the store. He has gone above and beyond his call of duty on several occasions. One of which was when an issue arose with a bulk item which Amazon provided the incorrect label for. He called Amazon directly and spoke with the rep and handed the call over to me to receive the correct labeling. He is certainly an asset to have among UPS employees. Be careful when getting a quote here. Do it at home first to see if they are telling you the truth. I was quoted $287.00. At home, the rate online was $152.00 + cents. The difference was in the length of the box. My item is 38" long. He quoted a box length of 46" long. However, if I use a 42" box instead, it dropped the price down to $152.+. He failed to tell me that. I won't ever trust them again. read more

Horrible experience here with picking up a package from an "access point". I received notification that my package was signed for and delivered to the access point and when I arrived the team notified me that it wasn't there. The team member made the mistake of stating "sometimes the UPS guy sends a delivery notice letting you know it's here but it doesn't actually come until the next day". It was strikingly odd that a package notice would be emailed to me with signature notification but then not be at it's destination. So I immediately called UPS and they confirmed as well that the package was at the access point. This started Wednesday, it's now a Friday and I have no package. I would just prefer for someone not to make up an answer or try to be an expert and instead, just be accountable and help the customer. Very underwhelmed by this location and the team. read more

So, it's not just about customer service which is a hard commodity to come by these days, it's about consumer confidence. I think it is important to write good reviews, maybe more so than the negative ones. A business' lifeblood depends on it. Anyway, it is the day after Christmas, and I just returned from shipping a package. The customers in front of me had difficulties and needed direction. The rep was courteous and helpful. He didn't need to be patient, but he was...very. And my transaction couldn't have gone smoother. I was on my way within minutes. The store is clean and orderly. Went in on the afternoon of 11/6 to do some printing for a project I was working on. The uoung woman working was super nice and super helpful and I got exactly what I needed done. I had to go back again today (11/7) because I forgot to print a page and the same young woman was there again in addition to a very nice man that also helped me. I went to this location to ship a blanket that was 2lb (12x10x10). It was December 16th and I just wanted to have it shipped and delivered by Christmas. The woman told me it would be $55 to get it there. (a price I knew was way to high) I asked her if there were any cheaper options cause the blanket only cost $35 and the package is small and only 2 lbs and she said that this was the only way it would get there by Christmas. I felt like I was being lied to and sure enough I was. I went to The UPS site and it quoted me $18 and some change to get it there by the 19th of December. Even if this showed up 3 business days late it would have still arrived before Christmas. Apparently this UPS store decided they would try and push their higher priced options and just say that it was the only way the package would arrive in time. UPS giving the gift of a rip off this Christmas season. I'll take my business to their competitors instead. If you do have to use UPS don't use this store. It also wouldn't hurt to check the price through their site before you visit one of their stores just so you know right away if they are trying to scam you. read more

My husband and I will never go into a UPS store again, especially not the one at 2110 W. Slaughter Ln. My husband took 3 packages that I had wrapped with heavy brown paper and reinforced corners, and they wanted to charge him an extra $10.00 per package unless he took the paper off the boxes. They told him that the U.S. Postal Service didn't take wrapped boxes anymore. Yesterday I went to the UPS store to mail a Christmas card to some cousins in England. They tried to charge me upwards of $57.00 for one card. So today I took the card to the U.S. Post office to mail it, and paid $1.15. I also asked the postal worker if they took packages wrapped with brown paper, and they told me that they do take wrapped packages, and that they always have. We really do not appreciate price gouging or being lied to. read more

I had a package held at this store for pickup, and they returned it before the due date to pick it up. I went to pick up my package 2 days after it arrived, but they returned it one day after it arrived. They couldn't give a reason why it was returned, and their system still showed they had the package. I called UPS, and they said they couldn't help me because UPS store isn't part of UPS. I called UPS Store headquarters, and they offered to file a complaint. It was already the end of the day, and the package was delivered back to the sender the next day. I tried to contact the sender, but couldn't get to them in time to ask them to stop the return. UPS charges shipping even if the package is returned, so I had to pay for shipping and wait again. read more

The store Manager, Forest, decided he wanted to start a new policy supposedly in the last few weeks of charging customers who have Amazon returns $3.25 for a piece of tape to close the box. I have submitted over 10 returns or so to this location and some within the last month and have never once been charged for tape. It should be made public knowledge that this company is looking to cover their bottom line by any means necessary and have given up on providing excellent customer service. Not only that but this new policy calls for an exceedingly amount of tape on a box that is already taped together except one piece across the tape. They have decided to double tape it with at least 5 seemingly unnecessary pieces of tape. This really does not benefit the planet so much as living in excess is unfortunate. I am quite upset at this new policy and only hope to warn others of this "brand new policy" that charges customers for Amazon returns. read more
