I forget how frustrating this place is every time I go in. They are SO SLOW! They require you to fill out a carbon copy form of your info, where you're sending it, etc. Then they fill out weight and price and all this stuff. This is SOLELY for their tracking/accounting and not the companies they work with (e.g., FedEx, UPS, etc). I've used their service a number of times. They've always been wonderful and professional. They are happy to send out notarized verification documents via emails Yesterday, I dropped off a prepaid USPS box and - never mind they weren't making a dime - they helped me make sure the rates were right and when we could expect it to arrive at the other end. Terrible! Was overcharged - paid almost DOUBLe for shipping a letter package. What was sent vs. what was charged is insane. Not sure if they marked my receipt wrong but its not good. Don't go here unless your package is prepaid for and you won't have to pay them directly and get overcharged like I did. read more

I stopped by to inquire about their services. I think the person I spoke with on that occasion must have been the owner - she was nice. Since then I've stopped by to drop off packages and the brunet haired lady is always on the border of rude. Today is my fifth visit and I've come to the conclusion that she IS rude. This is for the Goin' Postal near the Walmart in Southpark Meadows. I got fast, polite, professional service today for mailing some documents registered mail. She knew exactly what to do and did it quickly and efficiently. I wish these guys could take over the US Post Office. read more

Honestly I don't get why there are so many negative reviews? I've been here multiple times in just the last week to drop off packages (recently found out they ship USPS! An absolute life (and gas) saver!!). Each time I've been there both the man and woman in charge(?) of the place have greeted me with a smile and treat me with patience. read more

I'll admit I went to this place solely because I knew my friend's bday gift would arrive with a big "GOIN' POSTAL!" sticker on it. After having driven by this place on a weekly basis and enjoying a good snicker at the name every time (and wondering what it was - Gun Shop? Psychotherapy Offices? Postal Employees-Only Bar?), I am happy to report that it's actually a good little mail spot. They provide USPS, UPS and FedEx services for a nominal service fee...without the long lines. Extra star for the very nice woman behind the counter who complimented me on my "pretty blue eyes" and for being open on Saturday. But mostly for the compliment. read more

The filtered review and others cautionary reviews are probably correct - they may overcharge here, or offer only expensive options. I wish I could say for certain, but I can't. I can say that we were in a hurry and just asked for a fairly light box to be shipped, and the cost was $31 by UPS. We should have stopped and asked more questions, and probably left. Again, I can't say for certain, but I do caution y'all to do your research and compare. Of course, one of the great things about shipping places is that they're supposed to give you all the options and help you. Honestly, I just don't feel comfortable that this place is giving you all the options. My guess is that you're better off at the post office or a different shipping place. Just be careful here. It's OK for mailing envelopes, but they may be giving you false or incomplete information about shipping, and you may wind up paying more. read more

The lady work at the front desk was extremely rude and appeared like she really didn't want to work there at all. I mailed my brother a birthday card with a $25 Amazon gift card about 3 hours away from Austin and it has been a week now and they still have not gotten it. I have shipped over 1000 packages usually with USPS or fedex and I have never had an issue with a package being lost. I shipped one card with Goin Postal and it appears to have been "Lost". If you want your package stolen or tampered with than I would highly recommend this place. It is worth the drive to the post office or fedex to be sure to get your package delivered safely and securely. Goin Postal needs to be renamed to Goin Out Of Business. read more

They take used shipping materials. I took a box of styrofoam packing peanuts (much better than the trash!). Any questions on what items they will reuse just call. A quality Mom & Popish place, never too crowded. read more

I had a UPS package to send and one to send to Canada via USA mail service so I stopped at Goin Postal and was pleased at how small, friendly, and efficient they were. I've been back twice since then, they're my favorite shipping service. Quicker than the post office and very convenient. read more

I've been here many times and the experience is mediocre only if you are lucky. The woman here is always sitting in the back, on her personal phone, basically waiting for you to leave. She helps guests that come after you if they need something she would rather do than help you and you end up waiting in line for people that arrived after you. They make up their own pricing and then try to blame it on usps. I've been in with the same package and gotten different pricing from different people just to see if they are inconsistent and attempting to price gouge you. Since this place does shipping for USP and the USPS, I thought that they would be able to get me the best price. I went in with the box that I wanted to ship and told them that I wanted it there overnight. The clerk informed me that it would cost $180 going by UPS and that USPS did not do overnight delivery. The other options she gave me were getting the package there in 2-3 days for $60 or 4-5 days for $20. I decided to get another opinion and drove to the local post office. The lady there told me that they DID in fact send overnight to the zip code that I was mailing to. She told me that I could send an express package for $18, which would include $100 worth of insurance and get the package there by noon the next day! I can't believe that Goin' Postal had the nerve to try and lead me astray so far. Never even walking in for an estimate again. read more

Amazon never received it so I had to pay for something I didn't even have or want. I've never had that happen at any other postal place. I ordered online and picked up in store. I ordered tax forms, a package of 10 with envelopes. What I received was a package of 25 with no envelopes. I didn't even need a total of 10 but needed the envelopes that came with them. I tried to review on their website but they rejected it. All I said was that I received the wrong order. I was in a hurry to ship a package to Houston on 7/30/14. I got to the store roughly 6pm, and they close at 6:30. I knew that USPS had already picked up for the day, and the package wouldnt be picked up till the following day, the 31st. No big deal. As long as I at least dropped it off, I'd be happy. The lady was helpful and cordial, told me the best price and carrier. I paid her and went on my way. I checked the tracking number the next afternoon....still not in the system. Ok, odd, but not panicking yet. I check it the next morning 8/1/14. Still not in the USPS system. I call the store to find out some information. Did they forget to ship it ? Did they accidentally give it to the wrong carrier ? Whats going on ? The lady took my name and number, said sh'ed look into it and would call me back. I knew she was lying right off the bat because she didnt ask me any pertinent information. She didnt ask which carrier I shipped with, didnt ask what day I was in there, didnt ask ANYTHING. So how can she "look into it" with ZERO information about the issue. It had been 36 hours at this point and my tracking number still wasnt in the USPS system. Here we are today, day 3 of this fiasco. 8/2/14 .... still not in the system. Ive called the store 9 times since they opened and they have YET to answer my call. So I have a $3,000 Nikon Camera floating in outer space, nowhere to be found, or any way to find it. I will NEVERRRRRRR use this store again. STAY AWAY !!! I was very upset with my visit to Goin Postal. I checked out their website before going up there to make sure they accept usps shipments. And they did, good deal, I will take my 5 boxes there on my way home from work and avoid the post office. This is the worst place to have your packages and mail dealt with. I wanted to wait until my packages were delivered because of how much I did not trust these people. I come in with a couple of packages and my 10 pound miniature poodle on a leash, and the woman working is being very dramatic And loud saying she is extremely frightened of animals. I said OK well he is my emotional support dog so he needs to be with me. She then rudely said OK well make sure to "IT" on a leash. I wanted to immediately walk out but I took the day off and had another appointment to go to ,so time was of the essence. Luckily the business is dead so no one was in the store . She then rudely questioned and interrogated me about who I'm delivering my packages to and what they are . She then overcharged me to deliver these packages, way over double what UPS would have charged me because I called later that day and got a quote . Long story short if you want to be disrespected and overcharged, go here . I wish I could leave negative reviews . They are lucky to have gotten my business because I scheduled to go there unknowing of how they are. I will never plan to come here every again . I hope this place shuts down!!!!
