    Bacon and avocado burger yummy!
    Marshall M.

We came here for lunch and it was solid. We got two burgers and chicken tenders for the kids. We got our burgers with fries and onion rings. The burgers were both delicious one had bacon and avocado and the other one was the one with sourdough and grilled onions. Both burgers tasted great and cooked nicely. We sat outside in the middle patio area and it was great for family and kids. The chicken tenders were great as wells

Very good meal to start the day! Servicer even brought to table even though they gave me a number to pick up from counter, very nice of them. Great spot in Paso Robles and nice cafe right next to them!

    Looks sooo good...!

The Third Degree is located in the Paso Market Walk 1825 Spring St in Paso Robles, CA. Easy to find, with decent parking...should you, my dear Yelp Review Reader(s), decide to go and go you should...getting there will not present any issues. Since this establishment is in fact in the Market Walk, you won't need to worry about getting a table and seating...there are plenty available, and there is an outdoor seating area as well. There are paper Menus or you can view the Menu Board in order to decide your choice of "eats". Upon deciding on our order, we stepped up to the counter and Daniel greeted us promptly. Daniel was courteous, helpful and accommodating. Thank-you for your Customer Service Daniel! With Salads, Burgers, Sandwiches and Paninis being the offerings here, we ordered a Salad - Berry Hill (WOW, this was "the bomb"...a definite 5/5), 2 Burgers - The Suspect (amazing taste...another 5/5), and The Lawyer (very yummy...4.5/5) and finally a Sandwich - 2X Crispy Buffalo Chicken (both could have been a bit juicier...4/5). From the Sides & Extras - Onion Rings w/Ranch (delicious...5/5). Our drinks...a Clown Shoes IPA , a Cliche Wine Seltzer and a Firestone Walker 805 Beer. The order was brought out to our table by Daniel (a nice courtesy) and our feasting began. Good conversation, great company, a very casual atmosphere and darn good food made for a memorable meal. Therefore, on this occasion...in this Yelper's opinion, The Third Degree "firing on all cylinders", truly earned this "highly recommend" 5 Star review.

Was trying out different meals from the local market. Decided to get a few items from this place. The burger was okay 3/5. The buffalo chicken wings were really good 4/5. The fries were thin and crispy 5/5. Good spot for American food.

Inside the Paso Market Walk, this is one of the three locations opened early morning. We were walking around looking for some breakfast at Third Degree happens to serve a few breakfast items including the delicious chorizo burrito. With a hint of spice and sides of sour cream and salsa (more spice if you like!), it's a greasy but oh-so-good breakfast! It's a pretty huge burrito so perfect for sharing with another. Great service, would be happy to come back!

Here is what we noticed: - The inside is very cozy and the location is just about a block or so off the Paso Robles Square. - The menu has a broad range of cocktails, so my wife and I each selected one of those. There are daily specials and so we opted for the Chicken Pot Pie, which was the special on Monday. We started with the Wedge Salad with Chicken, and split both that and the pot pie. It was a perfect amount of food and both dishes were really good. - Service was very good. Bottom line: The Hatch was a great place to go...Not super fancy but also not too casual. Food was great as was the atmosphere. We would go back!

The space is somewhat small and tight for larger parties; however, it is perfect for casual dining. I really liked the place--it wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but I wasn't disappointed either. Keep in mind that it can be a bit pricey; it's not so casual that it's inexpensive. I would estimate spending between $50 to $100 per person for a nice meal, including drinks and gratuity. When you're in Paso Robles, do what the locals and visitors alike do: head over to Hatch Rotisserie & Bar for a nice, down-to-earth upscale vibe.

Nighttime Oasis Between SF and LA Street Side Alehouse &…read moreEatery -- Paso Robles 5/1/26 -- 5/5 We rolled into Paso Robles after 9 p.m. on a Friday night, post-work, post-Oakland traffic, post-that special California highway hypnosis where your soul has briefly left your body somewhere near King City and returned wearing sunglasses. Most places were closed. Hunger was no longer a condition; it was an animal. Then Street Side Alehouse appeared like a nighttime oasis between San Francisco and Los Angeles. Paso itself deserves a quick salute. For a town of roughly 25,000, it seems to have somehow negotiated with the restaurant gods and won. Downtown is charming, walkable, warmly lit, and centered around a city park that at night looks almost suspiciously pleasant--like Woodstock, Illinois and Santa Fe Plaza had a Central Coast baby and taught it manners. Inside Street Side: rustic wood, beer-barrel décor, a lively bar, and enough TVs to convince your attention span it had entered federal witness protection. Baseball, hockey, basketball, beer menus, interactive trivia, and--most importantly--the Dodgers losing on one screen, which for this lifelong Giants fan counted as complimentary dessert. Despite the packed house, the host/owner/possible Swiss Army knife of hospitality spotted two hungry outsiders and seated us quickly. No drama. No "kitchen's closing" death stare. Just calm, friendly competence. Our waitress was excellent: warm, sharp, sincere, professional, and blessed with the kind of personality that can make a tired traveler feel less like roadkill in camouflage shorts. Service: easy 5/5. Food became the main event. My lady wanted comfort food, and the Street Mac n Cheese delivered creamy, happy, elbow-pasta therapy in a little skillet. 4.5/5. The bacon-wrapped jalapeños were smoky, cheesy, spicy little danger logs with dipping sauce--very good, 4.4/5. The flank steak (chimichurri sp?) salad was colorful and fresh, though the steak itself was a bit tough, so call that a 3.5/5: respectable, but not the valedictorian. Then came my lamb burger: arugula, feta, aioli, and a giant stewed tomato wearing balsamic like it had just come back from a very emotional opera. Excellent. Messy in the right way. Rich, savory, satisfying. 5/5. The rosemary fries were crisp and solid, though I would've liked the rosemary to kick the door open a little harder. Cocktail-wise, I had an Old Fashioned that did exactly what an Old Fashioned should do after a long drive: lower the volume of civilization. My lady had a Cali Squeeze Blood Orange IPA and was happy. That matters. The whole night had that accidental-road-trip-magic quality where you look around and think: why have we driven between the Bay Area and Southern California hundreds of times and never treated Paso Robles like the strategic overnight masterpiece it clearly is? You can launch from here toward Santa Barbara, Monterey, Big Sur, Salinas/Steinbeck country, Fresno, Bakersfield, Sacramento, Stockton, even Death Valley if your GPS has a gambling problem. Street Side was the perfect late-night rescue: lively but not obnoxious, casual but not lazy, sports-bar energy without becoming a fluorescent punishment chamber, and food good enough to make two tired travelers feel like they had discovered a new California road-trip hack. Thank you, Street Side Alehouse & Eatery, for feeding us when we were starving, charming us when we were tired, and giving Paso Robles another reason to become a regular stop. 5/5. Absolute Friday-night save.

November 2025 Since…read moreI gave such a stellar review of the Bacon Crusted Burger at Street Side Ale House, I must update the comments since people do go to restaurants based on other's reviews. And I am so embarrassed to have recommended this restaurant to dozens of people. We raved to our friends about this place and this burger in particular. So, when we traveled with them to Paso Robles this week, we took them there on Thursday night. We passed on having the Wagyu 8 oz. burger and fries at In Bloom (Michelin listed) the night before in anticipation of this burger. Service was abysmal. We sat for quite some time with no service. My wife went in and asked where our server was? Finally, a woman showed up and said our waiter would be with us shortly. Sometime later, a friendly waiter arrived. He was obviously new, under-trained, and spread too thin. He was very personable, but our drinks sat on the bar for a long time and my wife had to go in and ask if she could take then. "No, the waiter will bring them out." Meanwhile, our friends were sipping on their drinks. We got our appetizers and then ordered our meals. The food came quickly, maybe too quickly, and I noticed no egg yolk oozing out (it was halved for us in the kitchen) and the burger overall was much thinner than the last time and the arugula was so wet under the patty. So, we ate a couple bites of it and it just did not taste right. I opened it up to find a baked or boiled grey patty with no crispy bacon wrapping. The bacon was soft, I mean boiled soft and was a small lump on top of the burger patty, not even close to crispy. More like a damp towel. The avocado was sliced but not spread out, so stuck on the left side. The egg was hard cooked with a solid yolk. No pepper to be found. I showed the waiter who was stunned. He thought we were kidding. The manger came out, looked at it, asked what we wanted to do. I was a bit surprised given the wreck that this burger was and said I don't know, what do you want to do? He said the chef wasn't there but took the plate back to the kitchen. He came back and said the chef (wait, he wasn't there) was surprised and said it was not right. The chef (if he was there) should have headed straight out to us and apologized. So, the manager took the burger off the bill but left the same horrible burger ($22) on our friend's bill. I should not have to tell a manager how to fix such a mess and disaster of a meal and service. I hope they fix their kitchen, whoever is checking food at the pass, and the service or they will be another casualty to the restaurant business in Paso. Sorry I had to write this as I rarely post negative reviews in order to not hurt a business and their employees.
