For a quick and healthy lunch I stopped by Mediterranean Spice and order their chicken shawarma sandwich. It was delicious with moist and seasoned chicken, lettuce, tomato, and their house garlic sauce. The bread was warm, fresh, and the perfect texture to hold everything together in a wrap. Service was fast and friendly. The ambiance is spartan but clean and functional. If you enjoy Mediterranean food, stop by to support this independent business!

Chicken souvlaki (kebabs) is well-seasoned, but has been dry twice that we've ordered

Well, it's tarnished since 11/2024. What was a 5 star perfect experience, has diminished so much so that my gf doesn't want to go anymore. I still have hope it will return to glory. I've been 6 or so times, and nothing has been the same. Abdul, the owner, is delightful. He is the same great guy. But... * The are often out of the beautiful Chicken Shawarma, you have to get to Med Spice early. * The beef Shawarma is just not as good, and gristly * Chicken souvlaki (kebabs) is well-seasoned, but has been dry twice Overall, the rating deserves a 3.5 star, but I just got have to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Food is great! Service is great . The bathroom needs attention. It was a great vibe and the eating area is clean.

One of THE BEST mediterranean restaurants I've ever eaten at. We stumbled upon this place while looking for a casual dinner in downtown Paso Robles. Most of the restaurants have extremely long wait times and are more steak and wine bar vibes than what we were looking for. This was meant to be. We walked in and beat the dinner rush. For starters, french fries (because my husband orders them everywhere), mozzarella sticks (not mediterranean, just comfort food. LOL), and a greek salad to share. For entrees, chicken shawarma platter, mixed grill platter (lamb, beef, chicken kebabs), and kofta kebab - the platters are jam packed with flavors, comes with rice, pita, hummus, roasted veggies, and cucumber/tomato salad. Their food here is really really good. Great bang for your buck as well. One of the more affordable options in Paso Robles. Another highlight is their self serve condiment bar - onions with sumac, pickled turnip, garlic sauce, spicy garlic sauce, pickles, and tahini. Self serve GARLIC SAUCE? No place has ever been that generous with garlic sauce AND pickled turnip. Lol. Great service. Huge dining room. We all enjoyed our meal. Highly recommend this place.

This place is bright, clean, with plenty of seating. You walk up to order. Get a number, sit down, then wait for your food. When I came it was lunchtime and from ordering to getting my food it took 25 min. The staff was nice but that day seemed overwhelmed. They have a condiment bar. The garlic sauce is quite yummy and LOVE the pickled turnips! I got the gyro which was very tasty. I will return but not when I only have a 30 minute lunch break. It is worth going!

Food was great. I had the grilled veggie salad and added gyro meat and a side of tzatziki. The order taker didn't tell me that it already came with a side of tzatziki so I ended up with two. It wasn't my favorite tzatziki because it had mint in it. The veggie salad had zucchini, onion, red pepper, feta, salad. I liked the condiment bar where you could add onions, garlic sauce, pimento sauce, etc. The restaurant is very clean. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. There is indoor and outdoor dining. Prices are fair.

Located slightly on the outskirts of downtown Paso is this great Greek influenced Mediterranean restaurant. The food is as pictured - fresh, vibrant, made to order. We were the only patrons so it was nice to have the space to ourselves. There was nothing short of flavor as we demolished our plates - every single one of us!! What I appreciated was a self service bar for garlic paste, onions / parsley, pickles, and other compliments for our dishes. Water was readily available, also at the self service station. This is a place to keep in mind when many places in the area require advance reservations or close early-ish.

This "space" has had quite a few lives, none of which lived very long. I had to venture in to see for myself who and what we have here today. Just a block away from the action and walk in traffic, they're going to need some great food, and great service to survive. Thought I'd watch the opening game of the World Series but the tv's don't have the subscription to the network airing the game. So let's see the family owned and operated business defiantly reflects the Mediterranean based on menu choices and of course with an American taste. I'm in...let's order Greek salad with a lemon dressing and a small 10" thin crust pizza with pepperoni. I ordered at the counter and the food is delivered to your table. Food was out to me in a reasonable time, about 18 minutes. The food was delivered to my table, both the salad and pizza. The pizza crust could have been pulled out of the oven a few minutes sooner, ok I'm in for crunch...the salad was of good size in a 10" bowl. Fresh and crispy romaine lettuce, plenty of tomatoes, red onion, cucumbers and some pitted olives & cubed feta cheese. The dressing was quite tasty. The pizza was good, plenty of cheese and good pepperoni coverage. I enjoyed my dinner $30 bucks is the going price these days. Would I return? ah maybe but there are other places I've yet to review so...no Thanks for listening Foodguy-martn

    Chicken Shawarma Plater

Fairly average Mediterranean food, seems like they are specializing in pizzas. Ordered the chicken shawarma platter - the bread pieces were good and very thin, chicken was ok, but the vegetables tasted old. Given how empty the place was our food came out quite slowly. Also, the tap water was murky and tasted weird.

Mediterranean food is one of my favorite foods but when I tell you the spot is official, you will want to come here. I didn't want a whole platter usually I get a full plate so I decided to try the Gyro M the bread they use for the Gyro is phenomenal. Has such great flavors and you can taste the clean fresh taste on each bite I will definitely be back to try one of their platters.

The food was delicious and freshly made. I had the mixed veggie mezze plate. Each item was well prepared and it was plenty of food. The items were reasonably priced as well. Location is central.

Since half of our family is Persian, we were super happy to discover Shekamoo Grill. After just one visit, we were so impressed by the quality and authenticity of the food that we knew we wanted them to cater our wedding. We reached out to Sina, the owner, who helped us put together the perfect menu for our 100-person reception, with appetizers, mains, and sides that accommodated all of our guests. The food was outstanding, and our guests couldn't stop talking about it. One of the highlights of the evening was having Sina and his team grilling on-site. Our reception was a huge success, and Sina and his team played a big part in making it so memorable. We were already sold on Shekamoo before the wedding, but now we're even bigger fans. Totally recommend Sina and his team for any catered event (or just heading down to SLO Ranch for a great meal).

We ordered the 6-piece kebab plate, which came with a great mix of chicken, beef, and lamb, along with grilled vegetables and warm pita bread. Everything was flavorful, juicy, and perfectly cooked. We also added a large hummus on the side, and the plate already included tahini sauce, which paired so well with the meats and veggies. The hummus was creamy and rich, definitely a must-order! We visited on a weekday afternoon, so it was pretty quiet, but honestly, this place deserves way more customers. The food quality is excellent, and it's such a great spot for a satisfying Mediterranean meal. The restaurant has plenty of indoor seating, a nice atmosphere, and two outdoor patio areas where you can enjoy the downtown street view. It's a relaxing and comfortable place to dine. During our meal, a livestream from Mecca was playing on the television, and there were religious materials available near the counter. The atmosphere may appeal to some customers, but it wasn't what we expected from a casual lunch outing. The food was disappointing. While I enjoyed one of the Middle Eastern sauces, the main dishes were fairly bland and did not stand out in terms of flavor. Overall, I felt the quality did not justify the price. My daughter and I both experienced some digestive discomfort afterward, although I can't say whether it was related to the meal. Overall, the combination of the higher prices, average food quality, and atmosphere that wasn't to our taste means we are unlikely to return.

I dropped the 10 of 'em and looked for a place to sit, relax, and have some dinner. We found a place to park and it was Pizza on the right or Mexican on the left. I saw football on the flat screen and that was the decider, Pizza. Menu was typical pizza place with sandwiches and salads, pricing was fair. We ordered two Antipasto salads and a Medium Hawaiian pizza, $2 more for a large. Ahhh...Over all it was a good choice, the service was excellent, fast, served hot and tasty. Plenty of toppings on the salad and the pie. As the salad goes it consisted of the same products that were used on the pizza, fair enough, you're economical. My money goes to those with a slight change up to a better quality product. I thought the salads could have been improved with the toppings, specifically the olives, salami, and pepperoni. The pie had plenty of toppings, good cheese coverage, and a nice thick browned crust. Had I thought to ask for a thin crust?...well. The Pizza was cooked in a "impinger" oven, I prefer good ole' fashion brick oven cooking for the more genuine crust. There's just something about that, probably in my mind of how it was back in the day. With all that said I thought the pizza sauce was quite good. Bottom line a decent pizza, at a fair price, served fresh and hot. Service was spot on, thank you ladies. Foodguy-Martin
