Restaurant is not very large and ambiance is typical for a Thai restaurant. My GF's and I stumbled across this little hole in the wall place in downtown Paso. It was late and we had just returned from Sensorio. There were 5 of us and they were so nice to quickly accommodate us by putting 2 tables together. We ordered a few dishes- soup, pad thai, 2 types of rolls, eggplant with chicken and mango sticky rice. Everything was so delicious, fresh and flavorful. Everything hit the spot!! This is my favorite Thai place in Paso. It's the most authentic in my opinion. The staff is always so sweet. We have dined in but mostly take out when I don't feel like cooking. Their pad Thai is perfect balanced being savory, tangy, and sweet. I had their beef noodle soup. It's a mix of pho and Thai boat noodles. Not the best thai but not terrible! My mom and I shared Drunken noodles and a panang salmon. The Drunken noodles were way too sweet in my opinion and not spicy at all, but still a tasty noodle. Four of us had lunch here today. Highly recommended by one of the women that was with us. 3 of us ordered the Mango Curry. I hade shrimp in mine. One ordered the Pumpkin Mango with Chicken and said it was delicious. I had never had anything like this before and it was fabulous. I will definitely come back and order this again. We had the fresh spring rolls and they were absolutely packed and the peanut sauce just completes the dish. We also had red curry and it was a perfect balance of spice, creaminess and a very rich broth. Service-wise, I think language could have been a barrier. We had wonton soup, tom yum soup, thai salad, combo fried rice, green curry, and panang curry. All the flavors were there. We all just had water, 5 entrees + chicken fried rice, and one order of spring rolls to start--no modifications. The spring rolls were out within 15 minutes and were super tasty! But it was all downhill after that. It took nearly 90 minutes before we got our entrees. The line for pickup orders was out the door, with many customers huffing and puffing too. Unfortunately the restaurant doesn't have the operations in place to provide remotely decent or timely service. But again, the food was good. A little different flavor, kinda pungent (vinegar?), not the best of all-time (or the GOAT), but very good. All others enjoyed their food. We're so glad that we found Thai Classic here in Paso Robles, as it is just as good as the other one. They are super friendly there and the food is fresh and great. They have really nice weekday lunch specials, and their regular entrées are all terrific. They also have wine.
