Apparently this is the Thai basil chicken with rice

Food needs a major improvement. I ordered the Thai basil chicken and chicken pad thai. What we got was a weird noodle dish that didn't taste like much with everything but the kitchen sink in it. The Thai basil chicken was more like an orange chicken with a bunch of random Vegetables while the rice tastes old and not fresh. Never again!

We came in for dessert... it was delicious! One day we will return for some lunch or dinner.

It took 50 minutes to get our order. It tasted like it had taken that long to defrost it.

The interior has an inviting decor, but seating is limited. There are also outdoor tables along the side the building. The Rock Shoyu Ramen had a good amount of noodles along with three good-sized pieces of pork belly (albeit a bit fatty), pickled fresno peppers & shallots, topped with green onion, an ajitama, umami-rich egg and a sheet of nori. The broth was complex with the duck fat and togarashi; it is noted the broth contains pork, chicken and dasmi. It was excellent. Their Beef Bulgogi Bowl was quite good. It consisted of four char grilled filet mignon skewers (2 pieces per skewer), kimchi, shredded carrots & daikon, pickled red onion, avocado slices, over herbed brown rice and topped with green onions, black sesame seeds, basil and a gochujang glaze. The portion was generous and quite filling. Service was friendly, and our selections were delivered in short order from the kitchen.

Cute little place with lovely decor- very inviting. You order the minute you come inside. It's very casual and when you are done you put your empty dishes away in the back. If you order a drink it's self serve as well. The poki bowl was abundant and I got half rice and half greens, the cubes fish was fresh. I just wished couple of sauces were offered such as eel or teriyaki sauce, ponzu sauce, or spicy mayo sauce on the side. The sauces would have given it the extra life. Now the ramens....complete passes on both. Noodle texture was probably the best thing for both ramens. Both broth was too sweet and it didn't pass for me as a tasty ramen of any sort. Edible...sure, but I wouldn't come back to eat this.

I've eaten at many Vietnamese restaurants across the…read morecountry, and my overall impression was that this felt more like a fast-casual or fast-food Vietnamese restaurant than a traditional sit-down experience. You order at the counter and are given a number. Since they weren't very busy, they brought the food to my table, which I appreciated. The prices were on the high side, though fairly typical for many Vietnamese restaurants in California. I ordered the pork platter with rice and fried egg rolls. The portion size was about right. The rice was fine--nothing particularly memorable. The pork was a generous serving and had visible grill marks, but it didn't seem freshly grilled. It appeared to have been grilled previously and then reheated. It was served hot, but the texture and presentation were not what I would expect from freshly grilled meat. Fresh off the grill would have made a noticeable difference. The egg rolls were crispy on the outside, but the filling was dry and fairly unremarkable. They weren't bad, but they weren't a standout item either. The plate also came with iceberg lettuce, sliced tomato, cucumber, and pickled carrot and radish. The cucumber was fine, while the pickled vegetables were a bit more sour than I prefer. The biggest surprise was the dipping sauce for the egg rolls. Instead of the typical Vietnamese dipping sauce, which is usually one of my favorite parts of the meal, this version had quite a bit of chili added and was much spicier than expected. Some people may enjoy that, but it wasn't what I was anticipating. Overall, the meal was good, but not memorable enough to justify going out of my way for it. The prices felt a little high given the fast-food atmosphere. If I happened to be in the area again, I might stop in and give it another try, but I wouldn't make a special trip to return.

In the past, we've always had the beef short ribs, and they are amazing each time! However, this time around we switched things around and we were really disappointed. My husband had the soft tofu seafood soup, and first of all it did not look anything like the picture but it had a good flavor. I had the teriyaki chicken and that was the biggest disappointment ever. The teriyaki chicken was extremely salty specially if you ate it along with the sauce it came in. In order for me to be able to eat it, I had to pull it out of the sauce and place it on top of the salt free steam rice. I honestly didn't want to complain because there's always that fear if what if they do something to the food. The service has always been okay and the complimentary side dishes they bring are always delicious as well but next time we are there, we are definitely getting the beef short ribs again. Those are hands-down, the winners :0)

The overall vibe felt like the employees didn't want to be there. Service was extremely slow, and it seemed like they were short-staffed. At one point I went inside for a soda refill and saw one of the employees with her purse out counting cash tips. A few minutes later she was serving food, which wasn't something I expected to see. Our food came out in 15-minute intervals instead of all together, so some of us were finished eating before others even received their meals. We also got drink refills with no ice, which was just another odd detail. To top it off, everyone in our group developed diarrhea just a few hours after eating there. I can't say for certain what caused it, but it was enough that none of us will be returning. Very disappointing experience overall.

A fairly extensive sushi menu, a number of traditional / California Chinese dishes, really attentive service by Jocelyn this evening, and quite generous portions. We ordered a Bento box of sushi and sashimi, a seaweed salad, and a shrimp tempura roll. The sushi chef only had our order to work on, so we got our food very promptly. Quite generous portions for the sushi and sashimi items (quite large chunks of fish as sashimi, and five or six big pieces of fish on rice for the sushi). However, we're used to Bento boxes coming with some other elements in addition to the main named items; there were none, and although there were cardboard shipping cartons containing traditional Bento Box trays stacked next the the sushi chef's station, we were served the sushi and sashimi items on a platter. We were also served quite a large portion of seaweed salad, and five pieces of shrimp tempura with our order. No dessert available (no mochi, green tea ice cream), but we each got a fortune cookie. The restaurant looks like it does most of its business as carryout, so maybe decor is not so important, but there is none. The red chairs are the only decor present. We expressed our appreciation for the generous portions and the very attentive service with a generous tip. For the three items ordered, with tip, we paid $53.
