The process was easy and convenient, and everything arrived right on time. We shared the Hearst Ranch Burger ($22)--an 8oz Hearst Ranch Estate ground beef patty with Havarti cheese, braised & seared pork belly, onion jam, house pickles, burger sauce, and heirloom tomato on a black & white sesame bun. It was served quartered, making it perfect for sharing. We also ordered the shoestring fries ($8), which were plentiful, crispy, and served with a buttermilk ranch dressing. The prices were a little steep, but I guess it's location, location, location. Anyway, it was a great pairing with the wines and made for a relaxing, delicious experience. Note: Seaside@HRW is open Friday-Sunday, 11AM-4PM, for food service at the tasting room (wine tasting reservation required). The Seaside Deli is open daily and if you are also wine tasting at the winery, you can pick up from the deli and bring it to your tasting table. They were fresh, homemade, and absolutely phenomenal. Maybe they've always made them from scratch and I somehow missed it, but this time they stole the show. They tasted just like the ones my abuelita used to make--warm, soft, and so good they almost made me forget there was an entire Molcajete sitting in front of me. One of my favorite things about Medusa's is that it's family-run, and you can feel it the moment you walk in. Everyone is genuinely welcoming, friendly, and makes you feel like you're more than just another table. That kind of hospitality is getting harder to find, and it makes the meal even better. I've eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants over the years, and Medusa's has earned a permanent spot near the top of my list.
