We popped in to Linn's Restaurant entirely unprepared for how good the food was and delighted by all of the offerings. Service was attentive and very helpful. Our server easily named several of her favorite dishes, and we happily took her recommendations. The beet salad she recommended was excellent, and the olallieberry vinaigrette made such a big difference in the burst of taste. The burgers were also outstanding - we tried both of the ones she suggested. On our way out, we bought three pies, including a mini olallieberry pie, preserves, vinaigrette, and more from the attached shop. What a great idea to have a shop with the restaurant. It was pricey but worth it for the quality and taste. Bathrooms were clean. There is parking in the lot behind the restaurant.

Another visit. The Braised Beef Tenderloin Stroganoff with noodles was good. Not amazing, but good. You also have a choice of rice or polenta instead of noodles. Good service.

If you are thinking of going here to lunch, you should absolutely do it! Everything we ordered was so good; the flavor profiles were unique and done so well. We ordered the beef tenderloin tips, signature chicken pot pie, ollalieberry burger, and braised beef stroganoff. We especially enjoyed the beef tenderloin tips and the burger. The burger patty had a mild gamey flavor which I think is due to the cow being grass-fed (correct me if I'm wrong). Staff were also very friendly. The owner himself came out to talk to us. The restaurant is located in a quaint, picturesque town. We enjoyed walking around to see the other shops afterward. The parking lot was small but we were able to find parking. We got there on a Monday around 2PM and waited about 5-10 minutes to be seated.

Famous restaurant in Cambria. Went to try it and waited for 30 minutes. Friday and kinda busy. Located on the Main Street of downtown Cambria. Seated on the second floor and Jordan and other guy forgot his name was Amazing. We were group of 8 and served well. We ordered Chicken pot pies Toasted veggie panini with clam chowder soup, fish and chips, seared ahi tuna, sweet potatoes fries . Everything was delicious. The best part was their ollieberry pie warmed with vanilla ice cream so yummy. First floor has bakery and gift shop For sure we will back once in Cambria.

Wonderful and fast waitress who was very sweet and peppy. We were seated quickly even though this place is super popular and had a line. My salmon cakes were top notch and even the Cole slaw was good. I don't even like Cole slaw. We also got the BLT and it was all you could hope for and more!

I can't go to Cambria without obsessing over olallieberry everything. I don't know if there is any better place to get your fix than Linn's Restaurant. I was last here 15 years ago and I cannot wait 15 more. I'm going to start with the dessert. I was choosing between the white cake with buttercream frosting filled with olallieberry jam and the cheesecake with olallieberry sauce. It was recommended by the server to get the cheesecake. He was 100% right. The cheesecake was great and the sauce was even better. As an added bonus he gave me a small sliver of the cake to taste and that's how I know it was the right decision to get the cheesecake. Usually I'd get an olallieberry shake but the timing didn't work out right. I had the fried chicken sandwich with slaw on it and a side of the olallieberry slaw. I loved the slaw. I like the sandwich. The rest of our party ordered ribs and felt it was nothing to write home about. The Asian salad was well received. The meat loaf and vegetables looked really good. Linns is a cool spot and open later than most things which is super helpful if you're in the area.

I first want to say that I absolutely loved the atmosphere and service at Linn's. Everyone was incredibly welcoming, and I'm writing this from a place of appreciation because I genuinely wanted to love the food as much as everything else. Unfortunately, it was a bit underwhelming. I had heard so many great things about this restaurant, so I left feeling a little disappointed that it didn't quite live up to the hype for me. My husband and I ordered the calamari, Caesar salad, linguini, and wild-caught salmon. The calamari was good, but the oversized plate made the portion look much smaller than it actually was... almost like leftovers. It's a minor detail, but serving it on a smaller plate would make it much more visually appealing. The Caesar salad was decent, although I wasn't expecting the tortilla chips. It was a unique touch, but I personally think the salad would benefit from sticking closer to a more traditional Caesar recipe. For our entrées, the linguini was much too watery, and most of the shrimp hadn't been deveined, which noticeably affected the overall experience. Given the price, I expected a higher level of attention to detail. In Southern California, shrimp linguini typically ranges from about $18-25 at casual restaurants, $26-32 at mid-range establishments, and $33-45+ at upscale restaurants. At around $35, I expected fresh, well-executed pasta, a balanced sauce, and properly prepared shrimp. I don't mind paying premium prices for a great meal, but in this case, the quality simply didn't reflect the price point. The wild-caught salmon had good flavor, but it was unfortunately overcooked. The presentation also left us a bit confused. It was served on a wooden board placed on top of a large ceramic plate, and neither my husband nor I could quite figure out the purpose of the extra board. We actually found ourselves giggling a little because we kept looking at it wondering, "Why is there a board on a plate?" I think the dish would have looked cleaner and more elegant served directly on the plate. The oversized plate, combined with the board and the vegetables arranged around it, made the presentation feel busier than it needed to be. Sometimes, less really is more. Overall, I truly enjoyed the ambiance and the excellent service, and I appreciate the effort that goes into creating such a welcoming experience. I hope this feedback is taken in the constructive spirit it's intended because I'd love to see the food match the outstanding hospitality. Despite my experience, I would absolutely give Linn's another chance. The atmosphere and service alone make it worth returning, and next time I'd love to try the breakfast menu, which I've heard wonderful things about. I'm hopeful my next visit will better reflect the reputation this restaurant has earned. :)

Stopped here for some cake slices for my boyfriends birthday. I didnt read too much into the reviews and really stopped by here because cake options nearby was limited. HOWEVER, LOOK NO FURTHER if youre in need of some desserts because oh, boy. Cake is absolutely delicious here. Got takeout but the restaurant was lovely. It has a homey charm to it which we loved. The cake reflects the homey charm, its pretty but not fancy. We absolutely loved the cafe mocha tiramisu as well as the chocolate raspberry and their berry one! Pie was ok. I found the crust to be tad bit dry but finished it nonetheless! Each piece was around $12 so definitely a premium slice. Service was amazing even for togo. Parking was easy with their small lot but street parking was also plentiful. Will definitely visit again.

Service: Employees were kind, thoughtful, and attentive. Restaurant: Clean, uniquely decorated (with vintage bikes) and has small little store in the front for jellies, treats and Knick knacks. Food: Portion sizes are more than filling. I ordered a cup of the Tomato Basil Soup which was delivered nice and hot with fresh basil on top. I also ordered the starte Mac and Cheese because I saw the entree portions and wasn't that hungry-but even the starter was a large portion-and was yummy. It does come with red peppers (as noted on the menu) so it isn't a kids Mac and cheese. Some bread comes to the table with butter and a jam they are known for olallieberry jam-very delicious. Dessert: got a Olallieberry cream puff to go-I was grateful to find napkins and two forks in the bag. I did not tell my server I was traveling so I was very grateful for the forks without remembering to ask! The cream puff was also very large and shareable.

Cambria free parking for tourist town. Food was very good, coffee nice n hot. Bicycle decor so Linn may have been a cyclist. Pancakes was very good, whipped butter and syrup. Chicken fried steak with fried hash browns, scrambled eggs, and linnberry jam on scone was very good.. Service was relatively quick. Ambiance nice and quiet for morning. 5 stars out of 5.

Linns is an institution and for very good reason. The food is just lovely and the PIES!! The ambiance is classy yet relaxed and staff is on top of it, every time. Brunch, lunch, or dinner...you will not be disappointed. P.s. the olallie berry pie milkshake might just change your life. Yes, it's that good.

Came by here the other day while in the area and grabbed a cinnamon roll with Pecans and an Olallieberry cream muffin! I remember when their muffins were huge back in the day...service was great!

    Do they serve barbecue ribs?

Did not see any BBQ ribs when I was there in September. They do have a rack of lamb though.

    Do they take reservations?

    No they don't

What side dish would you recommend?

The side of vegetables and the mashed potatoes that came with the chicken pot pie were so good, they stole the show from the entree!

Do yhey have a full bar?

    no, "full Bar"

Does Linn's take reservations? Edited to add: I called Linn's to make reservations for our party of 4 and was told they only take reservations for partys of 5 or more but they would see what they could do. We were given a reservation. Worth a call.

    Yes

    How late is breakfast served?

    12:00 PM

Is it a dog friendly restaurant? Is dog allow for outdoor dining?

Service dog friendly..I do believe the cafe to the rear of the property is dog friendly with outdoor tables (still part of Linns)

Will you be open on Thanksgiving? If so, hours and same menu & service as always?

(2 ) available 4- top tables open, but a party of 6 was told 30 minute wait. They declined and left. - A person came in asking for take out only to be told they were "inundated and not taking take out orders at this time." So far this is a management issue - these ladies were giving and needed 1 more server to keep them caught up- lots of business waking out the door due to poor scheduling- what a shame. One person behind the bar and 2 dining room servers would make this successful. It's too easy. - Food came out in a timely manner. Gary's pasta - 10/10 Clam chowder - 10/10 definitely homemade. My wedge- a little pricey but 8/10 only because the dressing came out clearly of a jar and no blue cheese crumbles. (Little things make a huge difference) - Moscow Marlin drink 10/10 - Another walk out. Lots of empty glasses at the bar. Would we come back? Only with these 2 servers. ( I think we got lucky) Definitely not on a Friday and If it's this much of a mess on a Friday, I can only imagine what a Saturday would look like. Cute place with amazing clam chowder and pasta.

I have frequented both the Cambria and Fresno locations, partially due to the consistently decent service and mostly due to the quality and quick food. It doesn't matter if you show up right when they open, or if you arrive when there's a line out the door waiting to place orders, service is always much quicker than you'd expect. Food is decent--whether you get a salad (note-the side or small salad is huge--it fills a full to-go container), fish and chips, a sandwich or burger. Substitutions are usually not an issue, and ranch/bbq sauces are available at no extra charge. I'm generally impressed with how absolutely fresh the lettuce and veggies are for the salads. I really have grown used to spending $10 or more for a much smaller salad at other locations and have grown accustomed to picking out wilted/rotted veggies and lettuce. Not here-everything is cold, crisp and fresh. Meat is seasoned well-- and the fries are plentiful. There is usually plenty of seating, whether inside or on the patio. Parking can be rough along Main Street, but if you're patient, you can usually find something fairly close. It does help that the grill is towards the end of the street. Rest rooms are limited and often running low on supplies. It can be quite a wait during busy times. In all, this is a great place for quick and decent food. It is consistently enjoyable for the whole family. We'll definitely be back whenever we visit.

We had to finally ask for a server since they were understaffed. We ordered right away since we've had a good 10min or so to already look over the menu with no server. They also charge $8 for sharing plate which is just really silly and unnecessary. The patio is very nice and inviting. It has a great ambiance. It also took a little bit to get the food which we figured. This is what we ordered: -Fish and chips-best out of all our items. 3 pieces and good fries -Calamari plate was also good -Lobster bisque- lacked lobster -Crab cakes- which I got was not good!! There was soo much fillers that I barely tasted the crab. I definitely would not recommend. Kinda gummy actually. Overall, it was ok. I wouldn't need to go again.

While in Cambria, CA, taking in the sights and sounds, I heard good things about Linn's pies. And I…read moredo luv me some pie. So off we went to Linn's Easy As Pie Cafe. Just look for the building with the whimsical cartoonish pie statue out front. Darn cute! So many pie flavor choices. Slices, mini pies or whole pies. Sweet or savory. Plus the cafe menu includes sandwiches, wraps, panini's, salads, soup, stews, comfort food entrees, and hot dogs. The young man working the counter was fantastic. Sincerely friendly.welcoming, extremely helpful, and knowledgeable about the menu. Provided great recommendations. We ordered a hot dog $10. All beef. It was split grilled served with side of potato salad. And a slice of olallieberry pie $7. The dog had a nice quality snap, good flavor. The potato salad for me was just ok. The pie was heavenly. Perfect thickness of crust; it was dense, flaky and tender all around yummy. My tastebuds were doing a happy dance! The cafe has a charming farmhouse interior. The cafe interior tables were fitted with plastic table cloths. Not a fan of those. The back patio was super cute. The area is compact. Gorgeous flowers and plants all lushly thriving and blooming. Whimsical metal sculpture art . Water fountains that gave off a calming trickling water sound. The windmill structure was pretty cool. Dual purpose of up cycle art and patio cover. Almost every table had a huge umbrella providing shade. Next to the back patio are the restrooms housed in its own stand alone building. Could use a refresh. There are a few spots in the car lot in the back. But the lot is tiny and hard to maneuver about for larger vehicles.

A quick online search will tell you that an olallieberry is a cross between a blackberry and a raspberry and it's all delicious . I had a slice of pie a la mode. My daughter had an olallieberry cream puff and my partner had a slice of cherry pie. All were so good, especially with a nice cup of coffee. We sat in the outside garden patio area on a lovely late spring day. It was perfect. The service was friendly and yes it can take a little long, but it's a small shop with one guy doling out the pies, so be patient , it's worth it.
