FOOD: I ordered the seafood pasta. It was filled with mussel, shrimp, cod, and scallops. The pasta comes with 2 slices of garlic bread. It was delicious!! I loved the tomato based sauce. Sits on a corner with plenty of free street parking (at least in September.). Pups welcome and there is a cute outdoor patio that hugs corner; enter through that door (a few steps to access.) Lots to look at, fun signs and great vibe. Also a small covered patio at main entrance. The staff were epic. Very welcoming, kind and gave excellent sincere service. Appreciated the water bowl for my pup! Food is basic fare; you're not coming here for a foodie experience. Love the ambiance in this place! There's artsy pictures of Frida, Katarina and Marilyn Monroe plus old west artifacts. Our wonderful server seated us with a nice view of the street so we could people watch. You can get the fish of the day with salad, rice or fries. I got the Mahi mahi and it was moist and tasty. Food was mediocre at best. Ice tea was sent back, shrimp scampi was fair, hubby has to put A1 on his steak to make it palatable. This is my second time here. I love their salads. So far this is all I have tried. But I loved it so much I went back again to get the same thing. I love a good steak and onions rings, and why not have it all on a salad! Everyone who works here is so friendly and helpful. The only thing I would say is it could be kept up a little more. A cozy mountain cabin style restaurant, with 2 floors of indoor seating and a small covered outdoor seating area. We had the breaded calamari appetizer which was okay. For the main entree, I had the bacon wrapped filet mignon with rice pilaf and vegetables. The filet mignon was tender and juicy, but slightly bland (maybe I should have asked for the peppercorn sauce?). The bacon strip wrapped around the edges of the steak was disappointingly soft (sorry, but I like my bacon crispy). The rice pilaf was very tasty, but the vegetables were too soft. My guest had the calamari steak with rice pilaf and vegetables. The calamari steak was identical to the appetizer except it came as a flat steak instead of strips. Nevertheless, it had a nice crispy crust and the calamari itself was okay. We were not offered a dessert menu; not sure if they offer desserts. Overall, the ambience and service were great, the food was average/good, and our dishes were in the mid $30's. May try it again and order something different. What a wonderful dining experience. Anthony, our waiter, was superb! Friendly, helpful, efficient. We started with the crab cakes, large and full of crab meat. My wife had their burger and rated it one of the five best she's ever had - and she's a burger aficionado. I had the baby back ribs and they were huge and tasty! I ordered their Cajun Burger with fries and hubby ordered a bowl of their clam chowder. The food came out and was flavorful and filling. Service was attentive, there weren't any issues; couldn't ask for more! Their interior is decorated with random items like framed newspaper pages highlighting events in Cambria. We're in Cambria on a little getaway. There's no food delivery service so we looked for a takeout place. We tried the Old Stone Station based on reviews. The food was prepared quickly and nicely packaged. The food itself, was bland. We had the seafood pasta, fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and the fried calamari appetizer. The dipping sauce for the calamari was good, and the garlic toast was ok. The rest lacked flavor. Maybe we ate on a bad day, but we don't think we'll be trying anything else on the menu. read more

We ate there Sunday afternoon around 1:00 and I have to say we were very disappointed in the food. They did have excellent clam chowder and ribs, but the fish was horrible. It was like it was frozen and then deep fried... kind of watery when you bit into it and Something didn't taste quite right about the the batter or the oil. Also, we got a corndog for the little one and it didn't taste right or look that great on the inside either. The french fries were okay, but they were somewhat lukewarm. It got good reviews so we decided to try it, but I will definitely not go back. There was only one other family seated when we arrived, and one couple after we left... and it was around 1:00 , that should have been was our first clue. The staff was great though. The menu looked promising and we were looking forward to eating in the patio despite the cooler temps. Only one table available that was occupied and no heater. No problem, we ordered to go in hopes of a delish meal according to other reviews. I ordered the sourdough clam chowder bowl, mediocre at best. Plenty of potatoes, no seafood flavor and a few tiny clams; so disappointing. Hubby ordered fresh fish, seared Cajun style; it was a rubber piece of fish with a strange seasoning I couldn't identify. His garlic mashed potatoes were not good, and we've eaten plenty of garlic mashed potatoes. The crab cakes were okay, we tasted chopped bell peppers and onions more than crab which were a good size. Came in here today for lunch. Always wanted to try this place, but they're never open until today. The hostess was nice, sat us outside in the patio. Our server was a young gentleman. Very pleasant. The hostess asked us for a water, she never brought it out. A waiter asked us for water, took them almost 15 minutes to get it. Our entrées literally took 30 minutes, our server did apologize. I have no idea why the food took so long. There was only one other table besides us. My buddy ordered the seafood combination. Everything was over cooked and a little on the dark side. I'd order the steak sandwich. Cooked just right, but no seasoning or flavor whatsoever. Potato salad had no flavor. I don't believe I've ever had such terrible food in Cambria as much as this place. We had an excellent dinner at this restaurant this evening. We live nearby, and we enjoy many great local restaurants, but we had not dined here in over two years due to the pandemic. The restaurant was not at all crowded, given that it's a weeknight and Highway 1 is closed due to landslides. We enjoyed an appetizer (crispy prawns--4 large butterflied prawns--excellent!) and then ordered filet mignon and baby back ribs. Both meals were perfectly prepared. The meats and accompaniments (fresh vegetables and baked potatoes) were delicious and the service could not have been better. The server, Leo, is a treasure. We capped off the meal with lemon raspberry cheesecake...oh my! We will definitely be returning to this restaurant. (Did I mention the great wine selections? The J. We were the first customers seated for dinner and had the whole back outside patio to ourselves for our entire meal. Service was fast and friendly, we enjoyed fried zucchini, ribs and mushroom ravioli (which was very good!) The only issue was with the vegetables that came with the ribs, they were cold upon arrival.
