    French Dip'N - .

The team ordered delivery. The staff is great! We got our order earlier than expected. Everyone loved their sandwiches. I enjoyed my French dip with Au jus and horseradish on the side. Of course chips were great too for some crunch. This is a place you can order for delivery or takeout but they also have a small patio area you can sit and enjoy.

We were on a road trip and passed through town at lunch time. We decided to stop at Red Scooter because reviews said they have gluten-free bread. We were greeted warmly when we entered and given plenty of time to peruse the large menu. I ordered the tuna melt on gluten free rye (oven is shared with non-GF bread, which they got my ok for). My partner got the Jam That's Cheesy. I really enjoyed the tuna melt and was pleasantly surprised that the GF bread also was rye. Often, white bread is the only option. My partner enjoyed his sandwich too, but couldn't put it down until he was all the way through it since it's a little messy to eat. The patio was a bit chilly on the day we stopped, so we ate in the car overlooking the park. It was a tasty picnic-style lunch on the road.

Red Scooter Deli is such a gem! From the moment I walked in, the vibe was warm and welcoming. The lady behind the counter couldn't have been friendlier--she set the tone with her kindness and great service. Seating inside is limited, but they make up for it with plenty of outdoor tables, perfect for enjoying a sunny day. I ordered the chicken salad on a croissant, and wow--it was outstanding. When I first saw the dark yellow color, I hesitated, thinking it might be heavy on curry (not usually my thing). What impressed me most was that before I even committed, she offered me a sample so I could try it first. That little gesture spoke volumes about their customer service. She was right--it only has a light touch of curry, and it was absolutely perfect. The flavor was fresh, balanced, and easily one of the best chicken salads I've had. Great service, thoughtful touches, friendly vibes, and amazing food--I'll definitely be back!

Awesome food at a good price point. Seems to be a locally owned two location restaurant. This location is pretty small with outdoor seating. I had the chicken Ceasar salad and a Reuben sandwich. The portions were so large it will make 2 meals for me. It would have been 5 stars but one of the workers was flustered and we weren't sure where we should stand. She complained about going out to call people and folks being in the store, so we went outside to wait. The restaurant is small and there wasn't a place to be out of the way. Maybe they should get a pager system and when the buzzer goes off to go get your order from the inside. She was also pretty worried that I grabbed a salad that I didn't pay for. I told her my order name, sure enough, I paid for the sandwich being made and the salad in my hand. She offered to put it in a bag for me which was fine. Definitely would eat here again if in the area, but probably would have called ahead.

Really cute simple breakfast place! I got the veggie wrap which was very tasty. There's an area outside to sit as no indoor seating. The food came out fast and very friendly staff.

While taking a break from our roadtrip, we came here in an effort to find an easy sandwich shop that our 3 kids would enjoy. I'm happy to say we nailed it here. They have a nice little kids meal pack that offers a few different types of sandwiches from both the class PB&J to meat & cheese. You also get a bag of chips and drinks. For my wife and I it was a bit more tricky. But in a great way. This deli has an amazing selection of sandwiches. So much so that it's almost overwhelming. We walked in thinking they would just have the basics but that's far from the case. They have just about everything under the sun to the point where we really couldn't decide on what we wanted. For once our kids were waiting for us to make a decision! Luckily the employee working was more than happy to wait for us and answer the questions we had about their offerings. I ended up getting the California cheesesteak that I really enjoyed. I forget what my wife got but she said it tasted fresh. I honestly don't think there is a sandwich on this menu that wouldn't taste good. It's all just a matter of what type of mood you are in. Despite having 5 items on our order and it being peak lunch time, our order came out quickly, letting us enjoy a bit of our meal in their small but wonderful patio area before we carried it over to finish under a large tree at the park across the street. It was just a wonderful addition to a great break from a long drive. We came here completely on a whim and fell in love with it. There are a lot of eateries in this area but I can guarantee the next time we are in the area Red Scooter will be on the top of our list of places to eat at. Great customer service, great selection, great food. What's not to like?

Looking for something quick, easy and on the lighter side for lunch. Came across reviews for this place and thought a sandwich would be great. Walked in and could hear people talking in the back but no one at the counter. This was ok because I needed some time to look over their extensive menu board. An older lady came in and yelled for someone to handle the front "I am not ready to take my break but I saw a dog and I have to go see it" as she was grabbing cookies ( for the owner) and Turkey (for the dog). A nice young lady came to take my order. I was just asking a question about the bread but she started putting in my order so I felt locked in to the sandwich I asked about. Took my order in sourdough and was told they would bring it out once done. I waited about 10 mins for the sandwich. Got back to my hotel room and opened up a monster of a sandwich. Nothing worse than all the items working to get her to get a flat unimpressive sandwich. This thing was at least a pound and most of that is from thick sliced turkey. I got the Bird on sourdough. It is turkey, cream cheese spread, cranberry sauce, sprouts and sunflower seeds ( I was a little off by this but it works!)

Fresh, Fresh, Fresh. My experience here was very satisfying. The Italian Scooter came on a light, fluffy french roll, that seemed baked that morning. The fresh veggies came together beautifully with the assortment of meats. If you peruse the menu I don't see where anything is going to be bad. The business also offers a good variety of salads, sides, and desserts. This is a prime location for your nrxf bite to eat.

Very kind service! ( 4.5/5 ) Caesar Salad Wrap Fresh ingredients! It tasted delicious. A a bit more dressing would've been nice. I love how they cut it in half and double wrap! It makes it very efficient to eat on a road trip. Location was clean and cozy

Super happy we stumbled across this place. After a long day of drinking the night before we were looking forward to having something fill up our tummies. While getting coffee up the street, we decided to walk around and see what looked good and this stuck out for us. I decided to go with their yogurt parfait which was really filling and filled with fresh fruit. My husband ordered the brioche breakfast sandwich and he was raving about it the entire time we were seated here. If you are in the area it's the perfect stop and has so many options for even the pickiest of eaters!

Looking at the Yelp reviews this place stood out and was close to where we got gas. The Red Scooter Deli is located in a strip mall. There is no seating inside but they do have a covered heated area. There was plenty of parking and the bathrooms were clean The Food: Reubenesque Sandwich: Yes I passed on the kraut as its like cut rate kim che to me. The sandwich itself was excellent. Nice rye bread heaped and I mean heaped with pastrami. Not as much that you have to take it down with a knife and fork but just the right amount. Add to that melty swiss and an excellent thousand island dressing and it was perfect sandwich. The dressing added more richness but the rye and swiss helped balance that out Potato Salad. Nicely chunked with onions and celery, and the perfect amount of mayo and mustard. Yes I smeared some on my sandwich.... So tasty. Oh. My. HEAVENS! I already loved the location downtown for its service, reliability and flavors,…read morebut today this (the newer) location (away from the downtown parking confusion) blew me away with the curry chicken salad sandwich. BLEW. Me. AWAY! First, I'm not into fancy sandwiches. I'm generally a simple egg salad or meat-n-cheese or old fashioned PB & strawberry jelly gal. Those do just fine by me. But I've been eating the Thai peanut wrap (tofu as my chosen protein) for years now when work provides sandos from here. Recently, I tasted someone's chicken curry salad sando from here and decided to try a switch. WELL! They went above and beyond since I'm suddenly a PITA gluten-free, dairy-free person (thanks, Body, for that!) and had to ask for substitutions. NO problem here. At my request, they made my meal with the gluten-free wraps they have on hand. They also have gluten-free bread available anytime, and I'll likely try that next time, not because anything was WRONG with the wrap, but because...I can. It's available. Why not try it? The chicken curry salad filling is just the right amount gentle curry and slightly sweet, with fresh veggies (spinach and tomato slices chief among them). It really was a flavor sensation I look forward to enjoying again. Top-notch service, even with a special request. Friendly staff. Convenient parking. There's outside seating here for those who want to stick around, or you can box up your lunch (my box came with a little dressed salad and a G-F chocolate chip cookie) to enjoy anywhere. They also have lots of morning pastries (I spotted the bacon and date one this morning...wow...that looked good!), and coffee, and a variety of to-go picnic beverages.

This…read morereview has nothing to do with unknowable facts or unobserved reality; rather, it is concerned with people making the best choices with the (admittedly limited) information they had at the time. If you were about to take a drink of yellow Gatorade, and someone you trusted told you not to drink the yellow Gatorade, because it was horse urine, you would be a fool to drink the yellow Gatorade. Even if it turned out that the yellow Gatorade was yellow Gatorade and not horse urine. Why? Because you took an unnecessary risk and went against the only information you had at the time. On with the review. I had stopped here for gas on a few occasions on my way back from SoCal to San Francisco. At the time, about 75 percent of my cross-state trips were on the 5, so my 101 gas-station knowledge was limited and ever-changing--mainly due to all the gas stations in King City playing musical chairs with their branding. At the time, I hadn't yet discovered San Paso Truck Stop, so I thought this was my last freeway-easy opportunity to get gas for a while, and I knew how to get here from the freeway and how to get back onto the freeway from here. In other words, this place, though high-priced, was a decent stop, a solid three stars. All of this ended in January 2021, when I was driving back from COVID bubbling with my parents for the fall and holidays of 2020 to a desolate San Francisco. Remember that time? In California? The COVID rate was way up from the holiday season; vaccines weren't available yet; I had recently found out that one of my mom's former colleagues had died of COVID, and the mother of a friend of mine was in the hospital with COVID. Amid all this, I needed gas, and I needed to use the bathroom. Third Base was where I stopped. I pumped my gas, and when I was about to walk into the store, a man without a mask walked out and proceeded to have a coughing fit right as he passed me. I was annoyed that he was unmasked and at his rudeness for not even covering his mouth or turning away as I passed by. When I entered the store, an employee was right next to the door. He wasn't wearing a mask either, and he was rubbing his upper lip. (Again, this is at the height of California's big post-holidays outbreak.) He smiled widely at me and asked if I needed anything. I told him I just needed to use the restroom, and he walked toward me. I told him to stop, and he did. I told him I was uncomfortable that he wasn't wearing a mask (I was more concerned that he was rubbing his face right beneath his nostrils) and that I just needed to know where the bathroom was. He fast-walked past me and arrived right at the bathroom door, and he opened it and held it open for me. I told him I really didn't want to be that close to him, but he insisted that he wasn't sick and that I would be fine. Still very annoyed, I rushed past him into the bathroom. When I left, he was chatting it up with another customer (also not wearing a mask) at the cash register. Eventually, I would find out that Paso Robles was one of those COVID-restriction holdouts, where anti-mask and anti-gathering-restrictions sentiment were very high. So what happened? Nothing. I wouldn't get COVID until December 2022, and I was still masking more or less all the time by that point, although I was otherwise living my life pretty normally. With what I know now, my experience at Third Base wasn't particularly dangerous, but based on what we knew (or thought we knew) at the time, this place was putting its customers' and its employees' health at risk by not following state (and I assume county) mask mandates. I was also uniquely perturbed by how far the employee seemed to go out of his way to make me feel uncomfortable. My regular northbound gas stop has changed twice since my last visit here, and no matter how gourmet their sandwiches or vast their wine selection, I won't ever step foot inside here again. What if they decide to question the food-handling regulations? There is a hepatitis A outbreak in L.A. right now, and we all know how hep A is spread.
