We went for a birthday lunch and while we were aware of the limited selections on the lunch menu, the subpar quality and appearance of their food just took that to an unacceptable level. Similar to other reviews about the food such as tasteless chicken and salad, it appears that the restaurant does not take the reviewers' comments to heart. I highly doubt they will ever improve. I will pass on this place. By the way Mr Managing Director, I read your response to other reviewers. You don't need to respond to mine because nothing seems to improve in the past year or so based on your responses and I do not expect anything will change. read more

Don't judge a book by it's cover. The Langham is so beautiful and classy, yet the Terrace was so average. Came here with a group of 12 for Sunday Brunch. Half of the group got the buffet, half ordered off the menu. I opted to order off the menu, because I just couldn't justify the $40 price difference between my ala carte entrée and the buffet, even though the buffet came with bottomless mimosas. First off, don't order one of their fancy juice blends. I thought it would be their own homemade blend, but it just came in a bottle with a glass on the side. FOR NINE DOLLARS! I've never paid that much for juice without booze in it. Coffee was decent, and they kept the refills coming. After ordering, half the table sat awkwardly while the rest of the table scarfed their buffet food down. My huevos rancheros finally came, and I was sorely disappointed. Two small slices of pork belly on the side of two over-easy eggs on top two corn tortillas with what tasted like canned refried beans sandwiched in between them. I think they forgot the cotija cheese. Guac and salsa came on the side. The eggs were cooked well, but everything was under seasoned. No one who got the buffet was too impressed either. The dim sum was limited to about five choices. No shrimp or crab legs, just salmon as far as seafood goes, from what I saw. They had an omelet bar and waffles, and your typical breakfast meats, plus salami, cheese and bread, but nothing worth $58 a head, in my opinion. Kids were $18. They brought out mac n cheese and chicken fingers to the buffet around 1:00 for the kids (perhaps they heard my daughter complaining, lol). Beware--Food is Overpriced and Inedible I bitterly regret not consulting Yelp reviews prior to reserving a table here for our anniversary dinner this past weekend, but I post this review of our experience for the sake of other potential guests. The food is appallingly bad and you should not eat here unless the restaurant completely overhauls its cuisine. We ordered drinks and the following dishes: Gambas al ajillo, Caesar Salad, Hokkaido Scallops, and Child's Cheese Pizza. A food runner brought us the salad, the pizza, and Shishito peppers that we had not ordered instead of the gambas. We decided to try the peppers and cancel the gambas. We have had Shishito peppers many times, in Japan, New York and Los Angeles, and the peppers in this dish were actually so spicy that they were impossible to eat. Who knows what kind of pepper they were, but they were NOT the delicate and mildly flavored Shishito peppers that we have had elsewhere. The cheese pizza was burnt on one half of the bottom, soggy on the other, and clearly had been frozen. Our two-year-old (budding food critic) said, "this is not pizza," and she was right. The Caesar salad was fine but forgettable. By this point, our expectations were extremely low and we kind of just wanted to get away, but we nevertheless tried the entree, the Hokkaido scallops. This dish was an extremely misguided attempt at haute cuisine, and failed on every level. Neither my husband nor I understood the purpose of the "Fermented Celery Root," which looked like some kind of wild rotting lotus slivers growing out of the bowl. Nor did we understand the lagoon-like pool of dark green liquid in which the scallops were soaking, in spite of the description of "Yuzu kosho" and "Brown Butter Emulsion"--so why the dark green color?! We each ventured a tiny bite of a scallop and decided that the dish was inedible. It's incomprehensible that a restaurant at such a grand hotel in such a lovely setting could be so atrocious. Rather than stay the night and endure a breakfast at the Terrace, we drove back home. On a positive note, the poolside lemonade cocktails were delicious. read more

This place is lovely!! Took my Mom here for her birthday. We sat outside on a perfect summer night. The atmosphere was great, you can see the pool of the hotel. The food was excellent!! I had the Salmon, and it was perfect. My sister had the Dory and that was even better! My dad had the Rib Eye and that was just OK, a steak house would be much better, but still it was far from being "bad" For our sides, we had the gratin potatoes, which I absolutely loved. The mushrooms were very salty. The chocolate soufle was amazing!! I agree with some of the other, that the service could have definitely been better. But I view this place as not a typical restaurant. Its inside of a hotel, most of the people I would assume to be guests, therefore they are not in a hurry, and want a nice place to eat, drink and relax. So I can see why the waiters would take their time. The main courses were all excellent, which is why I still give this place a 5. I would definitely go back or bring a date here. Looking for a place to chill in the great outdoors? If yes, this is the place to go. Food is pretty good and reasonably priced. Service is a little slow but everyone seems very nice. We ordered fish tacos, the taste of fish is a little strong but presentation is nice depending in your personal taste you may like it a lot. Ordered the croque madam sandwich, it was very satisfying and great tasting. Everything you can expect from an authentic croque madam sandwich. 3.5 stars. :P we came here with a large party to celebrate a friend's bday. most of us had the pre-fix three course dinner, which included a soup or salad, entree, and dessert. the soup du jour was truffle oil popcorn soup. sounds odd right? it was very odd, to me. however, the rest of our party LOVED this soup. it was well seasoned but the "truffle oil" and heavy cream together were really too overpowering for this soup, IMO. in fact, i couldn't finish my bowl but everyone else slurped theirs up. i had the prime rib for dinner and it was well seasoned and tasty. one of my friends, however, ordered the filet mignon, which came out dry and chewey. i think she ate 2 bites and was too polite to complain, so we did it for her. the waiter kindly offered to replace her entree as did the maitre d', but she was already full from the soup, appetizer, and bread, so she declined. when the bill came, i half expected her meal to be discounted or taken off altogether. it wasn't. for dessert, almost everyone ordered the souffle. it was well prepared, light, and delicious. i wish i could rate the food higher but i sort of expected more since the preparation and flavors of the steaks were subpar to mastro's or ruth chris and almost as high in price. in the end, i think the ambiance and location make this restaurant special and worth visiting again, but maybe for brunch or tea. read more

Nothing piques my curiosity quite like architecture ... the residential area that we drove through had some rather unique & interesting ideas. When we pull up, it's blustery day. Sun is shining tho! FYI... valet service ONLY.. When you enter the hotel, you're greeted by a center table that has a floral art peice designed to make you think of walking through the gardens... The Terrace is located towards said gardens and a stroll down a meandering staircase.. Once you enter, the first thing you see is the host/hostess (our host...not liking so much THUS the 4 stars.. how hard is it to smile??) Then as you look around, you HEAR LIVE MUSIC. and to the left the meat station. YES!! BACON!! BUT wait!! The sausage & chicken sausage IS A MUST!!! Can't believe I'm writing that. BUT there it is.. the sausage is THAT good! IF you can, ask to sit in FERNANDO's section! Ahhhmazing service & attention to detail!! An incredibly disorganized restaurant. We showed up an hour and a half ago with six people. There looks to be four six tops in the place. We killed time for an hour and returned to see an open one. "The wait is unknown at this time sir" they are holding the table for a reservation that's taking place in thirty minutes. I get that this place is old as heck and probably set in its ways, but you have people waiting and other six tops about half way finished. They'll be done before the reserved party arrives. Even more worrying, they have raw breakfast meats sitting out on the customer side of the buffet, with prongs in it. They have a person stationed there to tell you you can't eat it, they'll cook it first. If they have a momentary lapse of attention, a kid could be chewing on some uncooked sausage. The selection isn't great for the Sunday brunch, especially for $60. I'm not expecting the world class levels of the Queen Mary, but there's simply not enough. There's no hash browns! There's no avocado! There's soy sauce sitting next to the oatmeal! Like, what the heck? It's called a DimSum brunch, but I feel that's only to trick people. I'm fairly disappointed at this place. We came on Sunday lunch time. There was a long line waiting to get in brunch Buffet which we were not interested in. We still had to wait for about 20 minutes. The outdoor seating area was really nice. I used to love this place. However our experience was...MEH. Thumbs down. First off, the menu was not the same as what they post online. Not only there was NO vegan options, but also the staff was not very informative about vegan at all. I mean a specific Hispanic guy who was our server who seemed always in rush and impatient. When I told him that we are vegan. His nonverbal body language was like "what do you want?" Not even try to tell us what accommodations they could make for those dishes on the menu. That was really "helpful." So we had to figure things out on our own. Big thanks. And the potato hashes was mostly just roasted potatoes. When we ordered California toast without two eggs, they don't even try to sub anything else. Even two slices of toasts would be appreciated. But NOPE! So arrogant business model. Honestly. The service was SLOW. SLOWEST I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED THERE AND IT WASNT EVEN BUSY AT THE TIME WE ATE (6:30pm on a Sunday)! I was sorely disapppinted. My dad and I both ordered the Prime Rib special. The meat was bland, tasteless, and cold. We did not complain or say anything, it's usually embarrassing to do so. My mom ordered the salmon, and it also came out cold. She didn't like her food either. Our drinks were not refilled to my satisfaction, and only once. I also ordered a latte at the end of the meal which they forgot about for 20 minutes. The server just never came back. I was very disappointed. This is not the Langham that I am used to. All the dishes we tried were excellent including the Brussels sprouts, garbanzo beans (most creative of the night), chicken, saltado, pot de creme, and sorbet. Service was attentive and quick. The Ritz-Carlton Huntington Hotel & Spa in Pasadena was once a world class hotel and a hidden gem. I used fly from SF to LAX (circa 2000-03) on a regular basis, and the Huntington Hotel was my go to spot when I had business in downtown. It was 15 minutes away yet a hidden retreat. I ate prime rib dinners and the Sunday brunch at the old Terrace MANY times. Sadly the food and service have completely gone in the shitter since Langham Hotels International took over. This place was never a "value", but I didn't care as it was SUPREMELY good and I was expensing it. But they've jacked up the prices (partly due to inflation), yet the buffet selection is much smaller now, the service has gone in the toilet, and the food is MUCH worse. They used to offer all the brunch standards plus dim sum, sushi, and wonderful pastries and cakes. The sushi is gone. The dim sum sucks now. Half the buffet items are lukewarm, and the desserts are the Las Vegas food service variety. No longer the light, fluffy European style I had become accustomed to. This used to be a world class buffet that could hold it's own anywhere. Who would'a thunk in suburban LA. But now it's just a glorified Vegas Strip style buffet. The prime rib dinner has gone downhill as well. It was lukewarm, leathery, and everything was oversalted. WTF for $38! As someone who works in finance, it feels like the Huntington was a distress sale by Ritz Carlton (hidden gem also means under performing). Langham Hotels International feels like a venture capital group that took over and strip mined the place of everything that made it special and distinctive to improve the bottom line. Well now I'm sure they're turning a profit by ripping people off. It's really a pity. Such a waste of a beautiful and historic location. I live in LA now so I no longer need to stay at the hotel, but if the food is any reflection of the overall hotel, I'd wouldn't recommend it to anybody. read more

I'll be honest--dining at the Langham after flying in from Austin was originally a backup plan. We were supposed to be refueling at a charming little bistro in San Marino. But after fighting for a parking spot, me almost breaking a gate barrier while trying to escape from said parking lot, and realizing 100 people had the same idea as us to choose this restaurant once we did find a space...we set the Garmin for Pasadena instead. Although at this point I was so hungry I could have eaten my luggage, on the plus side, I got to see downtown LA a little closer and I totally recognized the tunnels on the way to Pasadena from the movie "Rumor Has It". We finally arrive at the Langham and Jen explains it used to be the old Ritz Carlton that she remembers going to even as a child for Easter or special events. We leave the car with the valet guys, and I once again find myself asking why the hell are valet guys always so hot. Of course they're fun to have a fling with, but alas--the career advancements are limited. The hotel is gorgeous, no doubt. It reminded me of SoCal's version of the Fairmont Copley in Boston, but brighter and sunnier. Jen hadn't been there since the switch from the Ritz Carlton brand, so we were wandering for a bit looking for the restaurant. The "Dining Room" and the "Bar" were both not yet open, but we did find a OB/GYN convention in full swing that had tables of food set up. Panicking, I told her straight up that if we had to pass ourselves off as p*ssy doctors to get a bit of food, I was ready to make the sacrifice. Luckily, a friendly staff member directed us to the Terrace before we had to take this drastic measure. The host was a good natured and very polite gentleman who sat us down at a shaded table outside. Immediately we inhaled the scent of gardenias in the breezy air. The weather was gorgeous. The hotel was gorgeous. We were gorgeous. I knew I would love California. I selected their light fare "power lunch" that for $28 came with two choices of a salad (I chose Caesar), entree (pizza margarita), and dessert (creme brulee). I didn't so much as eat the bread they brought out as I destroyed it in a ravenous, unrelenting hunger. I think I drank a pitcher of iced tea before the waiter even took our order. The salad was fresh, with just the right amount of dressing and very flavorful bits of Parmesan cheese. I ate the entire pizza by myself, although I'm sure it could be split between two as long as one of the two isn't ready to gnaw their own arm off. The creme brulee we shared was light, sweet, and the perfect end to an al fresco meal. Quick note: You can get your valet parking validated on the way out. Afterward, Jen and I walked around the hotel a bit. The grounds are simply beautiful. She also emphasized the real historical value of the place with stories of her great-grandparents attending parties there, and her grandparents who used to go dancing in a ballroom back in the day, and even her family taking pictures on the very steps we were walking down when she was just a little girl. On Wednesday evenings, you can get a delicious Seafood Buffet (seafood only, no meat!!) for $55 a person, which includes one non-alcoholic drink. While the price is pretty steep, it is definitely worth it. DON'T COME if you are expecting a wide variety of cheap food, like the Universal Hilton Cafe Sierra buffet. BUT DO COME if you want high quality food! Atmosphere: It felt a bit like eating dinner at a convalescent home since all the diners were elderly people. I think my parents and I were the youngest people at the restaurant. BUT you don't really notice since the tables are quite spread out and each table has some privacy. They have 5 stations: Salad Bar, Soup/Appetizer station, 2 entree stations, and a dessert bar. Besides the salad bar and dessert bar, all the other stations have actual people serving/cooking right on the spot, which makes everything fresh! All you need to do is point/or ask politely, and they'll hand you your food on a plate! For the soup/appetizer station, they have fresh oysters, crab legs, lobster lollipops, clam chowder, and shrimp sous vide. There are two people behind the station that will get the food you ask for. The shrimp sous vide is sauteed immediately as you order. My fave here was the lobster lollipops. They have a piece of lobster at the end of a toothpick. The lobster was fresh! The best part though is that you don't need to sit there getting your hands dirty trying to break open lobster shells. Each lollipop is just a piece of meat for you to enjoy! For the entree stations, there were 4 entrees. Each entree was cooked to order and plated as if it were an art piece! Each entree was served in a small plate, sort of tapa style. 1. AHI TUNA TEMPURA WITH EDAMAME PUREE AND SPICY PLUM SAUCE: absolutely delicious!!! They wrapped a piece of seaweed around a piece of tuna and then dipped it in batter and fried to a golden crisp. The edamame puree and the spicy plum sauce just brought out the flavors of the tuna. LOVED IT!!! 2.SALMON WITH RISOTTO: Risotto was a bit on the softer side, but definitely a lot better than undercooked risotto. The salmon was seared when I ordered it and was delicious! 3. RED SNAPPER ON TOP OF CORN CHOWDER: Didn't really care for this since they sort of overcooked my snapper. The corn chowder underneath was pretty good though. 4. GARLIC MUSSELS: Not that good. The mussels were a bit small and thin, which isn't really the cook's fault. Desserts: They had 6-7 kinds of desserts to choose from. All were delicious!! When I ordered hot tea, the waiter offered to change the tea bag after just one pot. I didn't take him up on the offer since I found it to be quite a waste after only one pot, but it was excellent service for offering. THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE DIM SUM BRUNCH ONLY I came here yesterday to celebrate my friend's birthday with mimosas and breakfast! We love brunch so this buffet was such a great treat. The hotel is beautiful! but getting to the Terrace can be a little confusing with the vast corridors of the hotel and other events that might be happening. When we finally made it down to the Terrace (conveniently located next to the pool) we were seated and we began. The brunch is a standard high-end buffet with an omelet station, hot food items, pastries, and charcuterie and cheese -- which by the way, was wonderful. The omelet chef is so sweet and she really loves her job (which is always so nice to hear!). What appealed to me and my friend was the dim sum station (or that an affluent hotel would have something like this) -- the dim sum is very limited. You have the traditional har gow (shrimp dumpling), shu mai (traditionally pork dumpling in wonton, but this was also shrimp) and two selections of steamed buns. I wouldn't recommend the dim sum morsels, because they are not reminiscent of what REAL dimsum is. Honestly, they kind of look and taste like the frozen dim sum you can buy at 99 Ranch -- which is convenient and can be good if you're doing it at home, but for $58/person -- you have to do better than that, especially when Monterey Park/Alhambra/San Gabriel/etc. has REAL dim sum and is only a 10 minute drive away). They also offer jok/congee (rice porridge) and some pickled vegetables, which I actually have to applaud them on. The congee was a great consistency and mild to no strong flavor -- which is what you really want when you make this. No doubt -- the hotel staff is extremely friendly and approachable. You can truly tell that everyone working their loves what they do and I truly appreciate that. But I would recommend ordering off the menu and skipping the dim sum brunch -- not worth the hype. read more

I'm agreeing with a few others to sayy. "Cheers to Terrace! ... for the crappiest brunch I've ever eaten!" Seriously, its should be a winner the the worst brunch category. The Terrace makes Castaway @ Burbank look like a 5 star. Okay this is what they had on there brunch buffet: Scrambled eggs A deserted omelet station Seared old tuna with bones in it Lox that was not smoked or salted enough to preserve it well English-pale bangers and bagels ***Bonus - service was absent The best thing on the menu was the ice water. We've had High Tea several times in the Library at the Langham and think it's one of the best in SoCal. So this time, we decided to try the Dim Sum Brunch in The Terrace. The atmosphere is more casual and not as relaxing as in the Library. The omelet, smoked fish and Italian meat/cheese, and dessert stations are excellent. However, the dim sum is just mediocre. The Peking duck is good but the buns are a little dry. If you don't want the buffet, you can order off the breakfast & lunch menu. The wait staff is very attentive and friendly. read more

This was the most disappointing Sunday Brunch Experience I've ever had! $40 bucks gets you the following: Omelet station that's only as good as any other restaurant. Nothing special about it at all Beverages: Orange Juice and Weak coffee. NO MIMOSAS or champagne! WTF? No Pancakes, waffles or crepes Cold and dry sausage and bacon Dry and boring pastries, no traditional Toast options and very sad display of Bagels! Butter accommodations were low and looked messy and disgusting anyway. No Cream Cheese in sight and when we notified the waiter and checked back again the bagels were gone and still no cream cheese. By the time we left they finally put some out but the butter and cream cheese was STILL either non existent or disgustingly displayed. Fruit option: Watermelon and Cantaloupe. Veggie option: Potatoes that really could have been cooked a little more and perhaps with more seasoning. They advertise Dim Sung as if they've put together something unique and special for a breakfast buffet. But in actuality it did not go with any of the other breakfast items and just made no sense at all. Seemed more like frozen flavorless pot stickers. Service was slow and the waiter clearly did not care. Live music tucked away in the corner where no one can see or appreciate the music at all. I've never tipped less that 20% in my life before but today we stooped down to less than 10%. It was really that bad! read more

So disappointing!!!!!! I had high high hopes and The Langham dropped the ball on the brunch. Went to the Tap room thats there bar and was very impressed. I've been to tons of brunches with rolling station, beef, Eggs Benedict, waffles, sushi, desert and etc... I felt like I was getting punked! You walk in to this gorgeous lobby with a breath taking holiday decorations and you think"oooo yah this is gonna be a amazing brunch!" Waawaa, Wrong so so wrong!!! Felt like I walked into a 5star hotel and was led to the back were a 2 star hotel brunch took the place, it was so sad. I brought my staff there for our holiday party, I was so embarrassed. There was a saving grace and that's why I did mark up one extra star. I would have given 3 stars but because we ended ordering off the menu to supplement the lack of food choices on top of paying $30 for the buffet brunch. The food off the menu was really good, but doing so brought my bill to $950! Thats with the include gratuity. Eeek ;( I wouldn't have a problem paying that if it was worth it but it so wasn't. Thats with me bringing my on champagne cuz it's not a champagne brunch. Bottom line brunch buffet not worth it at all, don't waste your time and money. We ordered from the kids menu, regular dinner menu and dine la menu. My sons enjoyed the burger and the salmon plate. The salmon plate comes with some sort of German pasta that is pretty nasty but my son liked the salmon . My daughter and I ordered from the Dine LA menu and we were pretty disappointed . The only thing we liked was the tempura shrimp . That's it . So we won't be doing that again read more

I ate breakfast at The Terrace (inside the Langham Huntington Hotel) in Pasadena, CA. While I've been inside the Langham before, this was the 1st time that I ate at The Terrace. I had a three egg omelet ($18.00), coffee ($5.00) and orange juice ($6.00). I had a choice of three items for the omelet (I chose ham, Swiss cheese & spinach) and it came with hash browns. I give this place a three star only because the food was subpar for the amount they were charging. I chose to get the dim sum brunch even tho my gut told me that I should just order from the menu. So dim sum brunch consisted of an omelette bar, waffle bar, dim sum, Peking duck, desserts and pastries and also with bottomless mimosas, bloody Mary's, juices. So I started with the omelette bar the chef asked me 5 times what I wanted on the omelette, then when he was ready to start making it asked if I wanted an omelette? I think he might have had one too many mimosas in the staff meeting in the morning before service. While my omelette was being cooked I went ahead and started picking the rest of my plate, there was a table by the waffles that had potatoes, breakfast sausages, and bacon. Well the bacon was swimming in bacon fat it was just completely gross. The breakfast sausage was cold and so the oils it was either cooked in or oils that naturally came off the sausage has developed a coating around it that made it taste like you just bit into a piece of lard. The potatoes were okay I mean you can't really mess up potatoes right? So I went back for my omelette, it was so oily that, all I could taste was the oil, the spinach, bacon and pepper jack cheese was over powered. Now for the dim sum, I wasn't expecting much since this is an American hotel and it's not a Chinese restaurant, (hint, hint) the dim sum was dry and not very flavorful, they did have shrimp ha gao and it was dry as well the wrapper around it has developed a firmer texture and was not every appetizing. The steamed bun was also dry and had no moisture to it at all, the amount of meat in there was hilarious, like what's the point of even putting anything in there. So the star of the show was the waffles made to order, I had the chefs recommendations, (he said he concocted it himself) a pina colada waffle. Which was actually not bad. He also made a strawberry blue berry waffle and that was even better. But the fact that he showed such pride and charisma I enjoyed the waffles even more. So three stars because everything was mediocre at best (except the waffles) I don't think the $58 is worth the price for admission, especially when it takes them 10 mins to bring you another mimosa. Order from the regular menu, I'm sure it will be better than the dried dim sum jerky. But then again I've only eaten here during their dim sum brunch and I don't think I'll want to try it again. read more

This restaurant is located inside of a hotel in Pasadena. The hotel is actually really beautiful especially the outdoor terrace area in the middle of the hotel. The only parking available is valet but they do validate at the restaurant. Anyway, my sister and I came here last night for dinner for DineLA. We each ordered a different dish so that we could try more than one dish Bread: The bread in the basket was rosemary sourdough, a cheese flatbread and regular sourdough with butter and this sundried tomato relish that was soo good. The relish and rosemary bread.....I could have just ate that for dinner and I'd be a happy camper. Appetizers: Prosciutto Bruschetta and a Wild Arugala Salad After trying both, we really like the Wild Arugala Salad. According to my sister, the goat cheese is what made it soo delicious Entree: White Sea Bass and Short Ribs Both were really good. I had the short ribs while my sister had the sea bass. Normally, I eat pretty quickly and is waiting for her but this time around she was waiting for me. After we swapped plates she said, "Now, I know why you were eating soo slow." She short ribs were very flavorful especiallly with the stout glace. I was pretty skeptical about the fish since most of the time I think it is dry and cooked too much. I was pleasantly surprised how moist the sea bass was. It was cooked PERFECTLY. The corn tamale that was on the plate so very good as well. Dessert: Vanilla Bean Bread Pudding and Mocha Cappuccino Personally, I didn't like the vanilla bean bread pudding. It was kind of strange to me, but my sister really enjoyed it. The mocha cappuccino was really good with the exception of the ice cream. The ice cream didn't have an ice creamy texture, it was more icy instead. It seemed like my ice cream had melted and it was refrozen because my sister's ice cream wasn't like that at all. Overall, this place was pretty good. My daughter, her BF and I came here for dineLA yesterday. This restaurant was gorgeous of ambiance, service, food, price, and location. The Langham Hotel is super beautiful with lights at night. The Terrace is located by the pool side and it is very romantic. Our parking was complementary valet when we dined this restaurant. The concierge gave me the card that could get the stamp from the restaurant. Making a reservation through the Open Table, I arrived 630pm. I thought we didn't need to reserve the seat. Only three tables were occupied and we were promptly seated. And, the waiter, Migo, was super nice to us giving us plenty of time to choose wine and to enjoy the atmosphere around. The basket of fresh baked bread, butter, and sun dried tomato pasto were complementary. We ordered a bottle of white wine from the wine list. It was very affordable and delish. Our food were chosen from dineLA menu to give it try. There were three courses. For appetizer, Rapini burrata bruschetta was so sweet and the portion was big. duck rillete was also good but little salty. For the main, Pot au Feu was contained in the big bowl with some beef and veggies and soup. This soup and pan roasted salmon both were ok. The ham chop was very salty. The desserts, briosche panini and creme brulee, were also ok. This restaurant gave us lots of bread: complementary bread, bruschetta bread, bread with duck rillete, coffee with bread, and briosche is also chocolate bread. i wondered why. The only thing that was extraordinary was service. Every service man was super nice. Actually i got a cold and needed the hot water. The manager gave me a big hot water pot with three bottles of honey and lemon three times. Even Migo gave us birthday cakes by accident. Actually this month is my daughter's birthday. The dineLA price here is $35pp but we spent $200 but worth it. I am gonna come back for another try, the afternoon tea. read more

Day 6 - DineLA Big Big mistake! I was here with my husband earlier this week and loved the 2 dishes from DineLA menu. We decided to come back to try the other two main courses that's on the menu. GOSH! I wish I didn't. I had the rubber chicken and my husband had the yucky beef salad. They should take those two dishes off their DineLA menu at this instant! Our experience of the day had proven to me that the standard of this kitchen is not consistent. Not only my chicken dish was cold but also rubbery. It's obvious to me that it was cooked couple hours ago before customers place their order. The beef was chewy and lack of flavor. The salad that served along with the beef had a very strong mustard taste that made the salad hard to swallow. I wonder if the chef had tasted those two dishes. read more

Beautiful yet extremely Unprofessional. We ate, signed the check and left and got a call from them on our way home (off of the reservation info) saying they accidentally didn't run the card?! We were sure they did, when they gave us a receipt asking for tip but apparently they give those out before the card even goes through. This was a joke of an experience..
