The ambiance and service is great. Max was very patient and helpful. The food is not bad but not great.

I'm not sure why this place has such low ratings. I was staying at the hotel, so breakfast was included. It was a Sunday, and on weekends, breakfast turns into brunch, served until 1 PM. You can choose between a buffet or à la carte options. They offer a great variety, including a live egg station where you can have eggs prepared to your liking. I chose the Eggs Benedict with spinach and mushrooms, and it was delicious! Soft drinks like coffee, tea, and juice are included with the brunch buffet, but anything else, such as cappuccinos, lattes, or alcohol, comes at an extra cost. The service was friendly, and I loved the ambiance. Since it was around Christmas time, the entire atmosphere was festive and lovely. The place was busy with people celebrating, including ladies' gatherings, birthdays, and gift exchanges.

We came in for breakfast at this pool side restaurant at the langham Pasadena. Place was so packed with tourists for a Saturday morning. They started to serve lunch at 11am but guests still had breakfast / brunch buffet option. We chose the latter cause the lunch menu was so limited. The brunch buffet choices were not bad. Omelette and eggs benedict station was nice. Good amount of breakfast bakeries but no gluten free options at all. Salad and fruit station was my favorite. The food selections were decent but the flavors were lacking. I had to put salsa sauce on the flavorless foods to make them taste better. But we really wasn't expecting much for only $39 pp including soft drinks. It was a very relaxing breakfast / brunch and the service was great. Definitely up to a luxury hotel standards. I would say it's a nice place for brunch nonetheless! Ps. Valet $15 with validation

We enjoyed high tea here on a Saturday afternoon and it was really lovely from start to finish. They offered vegan, gluten-free, and regular options, and everything we tried was delicious. The tea selection was great and the atmosphere was elegant, beautiful, and perfect for a special afternoon. The service was attentive and very friendly, making the whole experience even better. It is definitely a bit of a splurge, but worth it if you are looking for a memorable high tea experience in Pasadena. The Langham Hotel itself is stunning, with historic grounds, a beautiful outdoor courtyard and pool, and even a speakeasy-style bar right next to the Terrace restaurant where high tea is served. Would highly recommend all around.

The Terrace Restaurant at the Langham Hotel is our brunch favorite. The $39 buffet had great variety--loved the omelets, berry station, and awesome pastries. The terrace view was stunning, service was solid, and parking was $17 with validation. Highly recommended.

Sunday night the hostess was 10/10 . Service 10/10 everyone so nice . The short rib plate was everything I was hoping for . I was stunned by the graciousness by the staff . They really know how to give you that classy feeling.. like you're their special guest . Everyone working Sunday night was very attentive . the manor in which I was served made me blush quite a few times . They really are with that 5 star service . From the hostess to each of the servers they make you feel special like royalty . here I love this hotel so much , it's my happy place . 11/10 will be back .

Not bad but ... I don't know if I would've come here if not for our daily breakfast and meal credit. The menu isn't cheap, particularly the weekend buffet (more on that in a bit). The Terrace is the Langham Hotel's more casual breakfast, lunch, and dinner eatery, when you want something less formal than the steakhouse. Some of the options on the breakfast menu ARE worth it. The picture of my granola doesn't do the size justice. Picture two fists' worth of yogurt sitting on top of a thick, solid layer of toasted granola, drizzled with honey and topped with blueberries. It was possibly the best granola I've ever had. I ate most of it and the amount kept me full and satisfied well into the day. They also offer a market fruit plate for $18 and before you scream at the price for just some fruit, the plate is about the size of a trough. I saw a waiter carry it to a table with both hands. In addition to the heap of fruit (banana, kiwi, grapes, oranges, berries), the plate also has Greek yogurt and several slices of banana bread. If you're not particularly hungry in the morning like me, this is a great option to order for the table to share. That said: - $9 for a glass of grapefruit juice? No. Just no. - The weekend breakfast buffet is first-come, first-serve, but I recommend skipping it. First, the price tag is $40 per person, not worth it at all if you're only getting one or two plates of food. Second, the options were pretty skimpy. They had avocado toast, breakfast pastries, scrambled eggs, chicken sausage, bacon, and some fruits/berries but come on. If you're charging $40, at least include more protein, like smoked fish. Or even yogurt. It took a while to flag down our waiter for the check. Weekend brunch was super loud and we ended up escaping to the Club Lounge for a second round of breakfast.

I pretty much dislike the Terrace. I have been here a dozen times or more and find both the service and the food mediocre at best.

The biscuits were easily the highlight. Warm, buttery, crisp on the outside, and incredibly comforting. They reminded us of an elevated version of the classic Pillsbury biscuits, in the best way possible. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely come back. We sat inside the restaurant but you can also reserve outdoor seating. The staff was very welcoming and too the time to explain the menu to us. Their dishes are shareable and I suggest about 4-5 dishes for a party of three. Off their menu we ordered the fried calamari, the buttermilk biscuits, yellow fin tuna tartare, the fideos clams and the barbecue chicken. Everything was delicious but our favorite was the buttermilk biscuits! Please keep in mind that the biscuits take about 20 minutes to make so please order in advance. Overall the food and ambiance were delightful and I can't wait to go back! For parking, there is street parking around the area but may be difficult since there are quite a few restaurants around sharing rhe space. There is a public parking structure down Meridian street, near heirloom bakery. We went on the weekend and the parking structure was free to park.

When shopping tires you out, Mike & Anne's is a great lunch spot. Though I usually don't like eating outside, I'll make an exception here; there's an awesome patio with lots of sun and shade (and the indoor seating is a bit gloomy for lunchtime). You cannot beat the breakfast plates here, but I am partial to the cheeseburger/fries combo. Meat, cheese and bun are just right. My buddy had the breakfast burrito and insisted that I include it in this review. The elephant in the room? Parking. It's impossible. Food here is very safe, trite, hackneyed California cuisine beaten to death like a worn out horse. It's not really bad and not very good offending no one, but food that is boring and not particularly drop dead flavourful. I wasn't super hungry and decided to order more of the sides. 1) French Fries with some skin on, looking rustic, had a touch of that ineffable earthy potato flavour. Asked for extra crispy, but just got a bit crispy so their default fries must be rather limp. Standard ketchup in a steel ramekin. 2) Roasted Golden Beet & Arrugula Salad had sweet, softer, smooth texture, Arrugula had a fibrous, good green herbal, peanut oil scented flavour. Not too funky, creamy goat cheese. Roasted walnut halves. All napped with a subtle Champagne Vinaigrette. Portion was about half of what would be expected in other comparable restaurants. 3) Bread Pudding: The bread was spongy, moist, eggy almost like a flan but lacked a deeper dairy, milkiness as well as lack of hints of warm spices such as cinnamon, allspice, ginger, cloves. Bland would describe the general overall flavour. Topped with cream rich ice cream. Scattering of blueberry, blackberry, strawberry. At home, I drizzled on Grand Marnier for more citrus cognac aromatics. 1-3a) Iced Tea The food here seems to be the Midwest version of what California cuisine should be. Middle of the road, steady as she goes, don't rock the boat. Our waitress was efficient, helpful, thoughtful in a business-like manner which facilitated our group of 8. The male helper with a moustache and the inked hand was great at keeping our glasses topped off. 3 stars for a safe, not overly effusive food that does not offend. The outdoor optics holds the charm and strength of this restaurant.

The restaurant itself isn't too big but it does a pack a nice punch. Cute patio out front that takes some of the sidewalks and streets. Plenty of heat lamps which helped with the chilly nights. We got seated at one of the tables on the patios which was nice. Didn't really utilize inside area except for the restroom which it's quite cute in there. The rooms were pretty well decorated and executed. Nice bar area too. Like mentioned, we got seated on the patio and the heat lamps were great. Down to the menus, it's quite limited on dishes. Seemed like there were more shared plates versus the entrees. Drinks, it was fairly decent with their cocktails and wine. Service at the beginning was great. The staff were amazing and very friendly. We didn't order right away as we were still waiting for the last one to show. But did start off with some drinks. It didn't take that long for the first round which was nice. Food wise, the shared plate was a mixture of everything. Some of the olives, which is exactly what it is. The Belgian fries, nice thick cut fries with shredded pecorino cheese and a nice aioli sauce. We ended up getting a second order of it. The albacore tuna crudo was a hit which was really tasty. Chili ginger relish, mint and shallot, can't go wrong with that. Lastly the meatballs, tasty and very great for sharing. Entrees, the pan seared sea bass which I loved. Portion is pretty tiny which also seemed like they were a shared plate. Almost tapas styled. Nice chimichurri sauce and a side salad. The chicken Milanese also with a side salad of arugula. Simple dish but quite tasty. One of the salads that was somewhat hyped up by the waitress but it was just a salad. Decent but nothing major to rave about...lol... also the confit oyster mushrooms was major hit. Something that simple but quite tasty. And lastly the pan con tomate, rustic sourdough with tomatoes and burrata. Tasty as well. Overall the meal was good. From there, the second round of drinks did take a long time to arrive and with then plates that we shared, trying to get someone to clear the plates was another thing. Took a long for someone to clear the table before more items came. Even when the entrees came, all the empty starter plates were still there. And if someone did clear the plates, some was still left on the table. Finishing off the night, we did have the dessert which we tried all three. As it was two of our girlfriends birthday, they brought out a little bubbly for us to celebrate with the dessert. That was quite sweet and nice. Honestly opinion with the dessert, they were just ok. Nothing major to rave about. We tried all three on the menu and they were just ok. Overall, the food was great. Service was nice and the staffs were all very friendly. It did take a while for plates to get cleared from the table and second round did take a while, but it was manageable. It was a sweet gesture with the bubbly with the dessert which was greatly appreciated. The place is nice and great for catching up. Menu is limited and portions are quite small.
