Stopped in by chance. What a good idea! Crystal greeted us so warmly making us feel at home right away. It's a family run restaurant and the owner has clearly put her heart and soul into making it a place you want to come back to. We were here for lunch so we only ordered sandwiches. I had the veggie burger and my husband had the steak and cheese sandwich. Everything is homemade-my veggie burger came with a yummy avocado dressing and chips. I scarfed it down too fast to take a picture but it was nicely presented which always makes a dining experience more enjoyable. I really respect a place where care is taken beyond just the food to boost the overall pleasure of eating out (which I love!). The dining area is immaculate and coffee is served in a carafe so one doesn't have to repeatedly ask for refills-a very nice touch. I like this restaurant. I think it's well worth a visit or two or more. read more

First we have to talk about their punch buckets! Go ahead and get a bucket! The cherries are soaked in some delicious alcohol too! We have tried the Philly sandwich with onions peppers and mushrooms.. it is my all time favorite sandwich I have ever had! Delicious! Their seafood is amazing as well. Great meal. Hubs and I shared a bowl of clam chowder. It was very flavorful with fairly large chunks of clam. Had one bite with grit but that can happen with clams. I ordered the whole clam bellies and my husband got the fried Haddock. Both were fried just right. If you want a good solid fried seafood meal, this place is the ticket. read more

What a wonderful little place! We stopped in on our way to Keene for the fall foliage... was the only place we could find that was open in the 'dead' hours between lunch and dinner. We actually ended up backtracking to get back there, and it was well worth it. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and all four of us enjoyed our food. A slight nit pick was that my soup came out at the same time as my entrée, but otherwise no complaints about anything... even the bathroom was clean and well kept up. We needed a lunch stop en route from the Boston 'burbs to Stratton Mountain, VT, and this little place was just about the halfway point. Service was friendly and the kids' menu had all we could ask for for a 3 year-old. My fish sandwich was better than I expected: a generous portion of lightly breaded haddock. The steak and cheese sandwich got a good review, and the mushroom burger was fine (after sending it back to continue cooking). Portions are large, Everything we had was very good. The atmosphere was very nice and the owner and waitstaff were friendly and hospitable. We had their clam chowder which was excellent. Not as good as mine but very good. My wife had a Caesar salad which was huge and reasonably priced. ($7) I ordered the Captain's platter (which is seafood)but since I don't like scallops they were very gracious and let me substitute for whole belly clams. The haddock, clams and shrimp were excellent, not greasy and had a light batter. I will say it was pricey at $25 but quality and plenty of it. There are many, many items on the menu and some more reasonable options. They also have kids menu items ranging from $2-$5. The bar looked well stocked and they had some specialty drinks and a decent beer selection. I had a seasonal pumpkinhead and they served it in a chilled glass with cinnamon around the rim. I will go back, probably not splurge on the seafood again for a while. I am sooooo stuffed. But will try out some of their other menu items. They also serve breakfast and lunch. I had the baked scallops which was very good, large portions with rice pilaf and squash. The clam chowder was decent, small minced clams, but still pretty good. Wife had the combo baked seafood which shrimp, haddock and scallops. Service was friendly and attentive, and the prices are very reasonable with good portions. Not bad. A little pricy for the fare. Had the seafood platter. Skimpy portion an the batter was not to my liking. Seems to be mostly a locals hangout since it's the only game in town. I am passing through New Hampshire and just happened on this place. It has great breakfast. The basics with pizzazz. Today they featured choice of home made cranberry muffins or blueberry coffee cake. I tried.the latter which was delicious. Also, the service was fast and friendly. Place was below average, drove an hour for below average food.. I'm in the industry.. been an executive chef for 25 years. We enjoyed this place before the covid hit.. been twice since, it's like a different restaurant. Seafood was frozen. We ordered 3 baked seafood platter's. Food was cool when brought to us. Mashed was cold. Waitress had an attitude. My fault ordering fish on a Tuesday. Big no- no in the industry, it's usually Friday's fish. If you're passing through you must stop! Just moved to the area and it's nice to have a great restaurant in town! The atmosphere is great, with beautiful wooden tables, very cool lighting, and a small bar. Been here for lunch, dinner, and drinks and its all been good. I had the pesto chicken sandwich, and the chicken pot pie another time. Both were yummy. I've been enjoying their featured beer too, Sick Day by Long Trail. The waitresses are great too. Holy wow, unbelievable how good the food is, 5 star quality at 4 star prices, flat iron steak was the best steak I've had in years, wife had the boneless short ribs and they were just as good. Atmosphere is very country but classy as well with lots of antique photos and mason jar glasses and lamps. I can't wait to come back. read more

Meals are hit or miss as far quality of food. Have had to send back brown eggs, tough steak. But other times the food is very good.

Arrived on a Thursday night, it was busy, but there were a couple of empty tables. We were greeted quicky and the host and server were very friendly. Once we got our food, it was quite good. We had a steak with jalapeno butter, which was quite tasty even though it was a bit overcooked, and the fried chicken. The chicken was good, and mashed potatoes were great. I dug the atmosphere, warm and cozy. The reason I am not giving more stars is that it took 45 minutes from the time we ordered to the time we got our food. Granted, they were full, but having been open for a while now, I don't think it should take that long. We were hoping to have dessert, but we didn't have enough time. I won't rule out going back if the opportunity arises, but I'll make sure I don't have to be anywhere at a particular time. read more

I just moved to this area and was told by a couple people how good the food is at Rustic Table. I was not disappointed. I went in for a late lunch about 1:30, so they were not busy and I had no wait. Crystal, our server, was friendly and the service was great. I got the Chicken pesto & provolone sandwich with homemade chips and it was all delicious. Also, I come from Florida where we love our ice tea, I ordered a glass there and it was perfect. Im looking forward to going back and trying something else from the menu.
