First time at The Rustic, and I had a great time. The space is huge, with a big stage for live entertainment and a chill, easygoing vibe. It feels like the kind of place that could turn into a really fun night depending on the crowd and music. The crowd was eclectic, the prices were reasonable, and the overall energy worked. The wild boar meatballs were tasty and came with a glaze that was not too much. I usually do not like sweet glazes, but this one worked. The deviled eggs were also unique and had a nice touch with a pork rind on top. I have had a lot of deviled eggs, and I do not think I have ever seen that before. The biggest surprise was the mocktails. A lot of places charge what feels like a sugar tax for mocktails, then give you something overly sweet without even giving you the caloric benefit of alcohol. Not here. I had the margarita mocktail and the berry spritz mocktail, and both were phenomenal. Not too sweet at all, which was a pleasant surprise. Myles was my bartender, and he was solid. Friendly, professional, and kept the experience smooth. At the time of this review, The Rustic had a 3.8 on Yelp, and I normally do not go anywhere below a 4. Funny enough, the stars looked filled in visually even though the number said 3.8. Paid about $22 Got some sort of egg frittata thin (pretty good), biscuits and gravy (pretty dang great), thick bacon (good), fried chicken (amazing), avocado toast (good), potatoes (delicious), cucumber jicama salad (....), and lemon bars with fruit (it's okay). But the highlight was definitely the French toast. My goodness some of the best French toast I've had. For the amount you get, I'd say it's a bit expensive, but not too bad. Our waiter, G, was fantastic--he answered all our questions and made sure we had a great time. I'll just have to come back on a weekend to investigate their brunch offerings. I ended up getting a salad. They have a lot of hearty meaty options on the menu. We didn't have to wait too long for a table on a weekday and our server was very friendly. They do have a large outdoor patio where I guess they have music in the evenings, but on my recent visit, I didn't stray from the air conditioned interior of the restaurant. Such a cool and unique spot! My favorite thing is that their stage is viewable from both inside and outside. Delicious drinks, I had the frozen margarita and it was the perfect amount of sweet.
