What a great addition to Boulder! They've only been open a few weeks, but you can see how much people in Boulder have wanted a place like this by the number of people coming to enjoy the drinks, food and music. I've been a few times and it's fun to run into friends and acquaintances from around town each time. It's also really cool that the food trucks rotate, so there's a different offering each time. All the food we've had so far has been pretty awesome, and the beer selection is pretty solid as well. I'll definitely be frequenting the Rayback. read more

We recently hosted a wedding welcome dinner for over 100 in the private event space at Rayback Collective. What a cool find! We have only been here 1 time, but it was an incredibly enjoyable experience. Excellent selection of beer + helpful bartenders made for an excellent evening. It did get very, very crowded as the night went on, but the place appeared very well staffed. I've also never been anywhere that has 4 different food trucks outside! Such a varied group of people everywhere, from college kids to older couples to families. Excellent outdoor area for when the weather is nice but also has a very large indoor area and bar. Very unique and enjoyable experience, and we very much enjoyed the different beers we had. Definitely will return! read more

Needed a dog-friendly space with vegan options. Great selection of beers but food we had (mediterranean/Syrian) was mediocre at best: soggy french fries, flour tortilla instead of pita for the felafel sandwich (felafel was good); hummus and baba ganouj too acidic. But worst of all- the vendors use EPS (Expanded polystyrene) foam...aka styrofoam! And this is Boulder, Colorado - supposed to be so "cool, hip and green"?? Shame on y'all! read more

Not a good place won't last long. You wait forever in line for a beer when there's 4 bartenders sitting around talking. Won't put the sound on for sports games even though there are 20 people watching the game. When I asked they said that if they put the sound on everyone would start coming here for sports and I said isn't that good for business? He said they didn't want the place to turn into a sports bar. I visited this place recently after a wedding and it is such a cool environment to be a part of. There is a huge outdoor patio/ area to hang out in. The interior of the actual place is also very large and has a ton of room for visiting. This place offers many types of beers and also provides a few cocktail options. You could either wait in line at the bars to order drinks or be served. I first ordered at the bar and then had a waiter when I decided to sit outside (who was really nice)! I went to order my first beer and they were out of it, so I ended up moving to their cocktail list instead because I didn't like a lot of their other beers. The two cocktails that I really wanted they were also out of, which was just a bummer at that point. I ended up trying their sangria which was actually really good. It had a unique carbonated taste to it that I hadn't found to be common in most other sangrias. I moved on to a moscow mule and it honestly was such a disappointment. The drink was pure lime and was just too overpowering with that. I was a little annoyed at this point when I wasn't receiving the benefit of the doubt with their drink options/ availability. I'd give the place an A+ for its presentation, but a C for drink quality and quantity. read more

What a cool concept! Food trucks, bar, pet friendly, outdoor games and right off the bike path. We were in town visiting friends when we checked this place out. I love having the option of the food trucks so everyone can find something to eat. It did not seem touristy at all. Can't wait to go back on our next visit. read more

Really really hoping this place pulls it off in the long term. Great concept, awesome place and atmosphere for a Boulder summer evening. We had been looking forward to visiting it for sometime and got to go with a couple of friends who we invited to drive from Broomfield to check it out with us. Unfortunately there was only one food cart with a very long line for tacos. We decided to walk across the street for some food. Apparently there were cancellations by other food trucks and there were supposed to be 2-3. I have read a couple more people saying the same thing happened other times. Why not have 4-5 semi-permanent trucks come in on a rotation basis? Like change once a month and have trucks that show up. 2-3 sounds like very few too. We returned for a beer later. Thought the beer was a bit overpriced, and the selection was honestly nothing to write home about. I'm not giving up on the place as it's something I've wanted Boulder to have for a while, but first impression wasn't great. I hope to update my review next time, but felt compelled to write about the food as it's a problem if you are planning to eat there. Update: tried to go again, sadly a no go. Friends who we planned an evening with arrived before we did. It was their first time. They called as we were on our way to let us know there was again only one food truck with an epic line and not many places to sit. They ended up leaving and suggesting meeting at another place. This is not quite a restaurant or bar or gallery or concert venue.. it's like a combination of all of those things.... It's like a giant room that is stuffed with couches and tables and bar tops, thrown in with a few food trucks that rotate with an outdoor space for cornhole, and other games. Its more a community space more than anything, just with a bar attached. It's got a low key, chill vibe.. it used to be a big industrial space, that housed a bunch of local businesses, but now it's just a big space for the community to gather. I see that they do yoga, and parties and craft fairs and small concerts and other events here, which is cool. I love the art that they have on rotation, a lot of it is from the Haiti project, and sale of art benefits rebuilding efforts in Haiti. Lots of families hung out here on my last visit, but a lot of younger people frequent this place too. I can see business meetings being held here. There isn't really a "typical" audience, because I saw all kinds of people here last time. But generally, the crowd steers towards the younger crowd (20's ish) - generally young people who to come and hang out with friends or come to hang out and get online, for the free wifi. There is a main bar that has a bunch of beers on tap, there is also a kombucha bar also, on our last visit, there were 2 food trucks. It's a nice place to chill, maybe set up a lap top, maybe to hang out with friends for a drink - a nice addition to Boulder but the parking is non existent- so park far and walk.. or if you are really really stuck, park at 29th street mall, grab a b-cycle and ride it on over if you are out of options. read more

It took a long time to come through the political process, but Boulder finally got a food truck park--and they did a good job. It's a well designed space with a large open bar inside and four rotating food trucks serving lunch and dinner outside. I took a friend and her toddler out here and it was a good space for the kiddo to run around and (try to) play bocce ball or beanbag toss. There's a stage and more seating indoors, which is good because the outdoor seats can get full fast. It is definitely better to arrive by bike or on foot. Parking is limited and likely to be full at dinner; we got lucky and got one of the last spots all the way around the back of the narrow, U-shaped lot. Street parking is non-existent on Valmont or 28th (I think the nearest is on Glenwood), and nearby businesses may tow your car if you try to park illegally in their lots. We particularly enjoyed Farm/Smoke and the McDevitt Tacos among the trucks, but part of the joie of this place is that you get to try a lot of different options out. The excellent website has a schedule of what trucks are present on which days and for which meals. The beer selection featured a number of excellent local breweries on tap, including Wibby, my personal fave. read more

Hands down, my new favorite place in town. They have rotating food trucks, a huge selection of beers (toffee porter being the best imho), games and they have a cool laid-back warehouse feel. When I feel like drinking while studying, this is my go to spot. :) read more

Totally worth it once or twice, when new people visit or when your favorite food (restaurant) truck is there. Parking can be tricky but not impossible. Seating can be a challenge depending on how many tables are reserved. The bar is long and 90 degree angle so if staff doesn't come to your table, you should be able to get service at the bar. Went for lunch and walked in from the bike path (which they have a direct entrance from by the way) and saw food trucks, a ton of outdoor seating, bocce ball courts, and several corn-hole sets. I love lawn games so this is where I'll be on my days off. The indoor space is great as well. Large bar with tons of seating available. Saw people working on their laptops, lounging on the couches, having lunch with their families, drinking beers with Avery koozies. The staff was nice and alert. There's a stage which is promising. I also saw an event space towards the back. I had some BBQ from a food truck and a Ska Mexican Logger. Overall fantastic experience. Will recommend. read more

One of my favorite places in the whole city. They have an excellent (ever-changing) beer menu, kombucha, wine, cocktails, a wide array of food trucks, lots of tables inside, large space outside to hang out. This place is awesome in all four seasons! The fire pits are awesome and allow for more comfortable outdoor seating in the cooler months. This place is so great because you can go here with friends, family or anyone really! Great place to meet up. Parking isn't always easy but it's right on the bike path and there is plenty of bike parking :) Friendly staff! read more

"Good as it gets" feels right. Objectively, the Rayback is a venue. So the 5-star rating is not necessarily for the actual quality of food or beer, but the fact that they are curating the best that Boulder has to offer. I love variety, so the fact that their food carts rotate TWICE, EVERY DAY is simply magical. It's incredible to be able to go somewhere where so much variety actually comes to you. Same with beer. So many options, and they're always rotating. Occasionally there's live music, so peek at their website to see the schedule if you want to look into the band or come at a time where there's no live music. Sometimes, by the nature of live music, no matter the quality of the band, it can be kinda hard to have a conversation inside. But there's space outdoors too! So it's kinda win win either way. My only gripe is that it's busy. Haha, which just means lots of people agree it's an awesome place. So that's not a real argument. There are plenty of cherries on top, whether it's the hyper-local dedication to Boulder via partnerships and events, the cool historic ties, the fact that there are servers (what food park has servers??), there's bike path access, it's family and dog friendly, etc, etc. Just an amazing situation all around. It's a great place to hang out if you can get there early as the parking lot is waaaay too small for the amount of business they're getting. We've had friends fail to show up for drinks because they couldn't find a spot anywhere. And it's only going to get worse when Summer arrives. Otherwise, a great atmosphere, plenty of beers and food trucks to choose from (review their calendar to make sure you know which trucks will be there) and the outdoor space is really nice. The staff are friendly and fairly efficient but they could use more tables that are not really high and require bar stools to sit at. read more
