We have been going to The Patio for years. Darien is our favorite location. The food has always been on point. It's always fresh and delicious. Good flavor. We've never left disappointed or hungry. We have been here to eat a couple times with some family members occasionally. I have tried the Italian Beef, the Crispy Chicken Sandwich, their Crispy Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, their cod Filets, their fish sandwich, their Ribs and recently their chicken tenders. I tried their chicken tenders 2 weeks ago and they were a generous portion, each tender filet had to be about 5 or 6 oz each because those tenders were huge not dinky ones from a bottom of a bag. I rarely order beef when I go out, but saw the brisket and thought it sounded good. The meal came quickly, but the brisket was disgusting! It was shiny, greenish reflections, over cooked, fatty, had veins in it and was just a major disappointment. My husband got half an order and ate none of it either. I had maybe two pieces and struggled to chew and swallow them. A complete waste of $40! All thrown away, inedible. The garlic potatoes were good, so was the coleslaw. Very disappointe. The dry rub full slab of ribs or literally as dry as the seasoning. Not worth the $31 at all. Also ordered the steak kebabs. They were good but not worth $30. The food was sooo delicious here. I got an apple pecan salad with chicken and the chicken was so well seasoned and not dry at all. The dressing was not too heavy, sweet and complimented the rest of the dish well. I also got the Cajun shrimp which tasted best with a squeeze of lemon on it, otherwise it was slightly dry. But the seasoning was yummy. My boyfriend got the brisket and it was so soft and the sauce was incredible. Next time I'll get that. It's a la carte so it is a little pricey, but worth the cost. You order your food and then it's brought to the table, it was pretty fast service. The restaurant is casual but feels a little more fancy than most restaurants of this style in the dining area. One of our favorite places in the Burr Ridge/Darien/Hinsdale area. The staff is the best. The servers are attentive and well mannered. Kim is the manager and helped me locate a lost item that fell out of my pocket the previous day. They make you feel like you're at home . My family has been going to The Patio for over 30 years now. We would go with my grandparents when we were little and now make a special trip every time I'm in town. I'm obsessed with their Breaded Mushrooms and the garlic dipping sauce that it comes with. That honestly makes them spectacular - I can eat an entire basket myself. I will only get ribs from here. The meat literally falls off the bone. And I absolutely love their bbq sauce. The Pulled Pork Sandwich has enough meat to make three sandwiches - incredible. read more

The Patio is an awesome local chain so my wife and I decided to go to their Darien location one night for dinner. I ordered the chicken ranchero sandwich, which is chicken breast, bacon, lettuce & tomato and a ranch aioli. It was delicious! Came in at 1:15 pm on a Sunday- waited 20 minutes for our food. Simple order, Italian beef- Italian sub and a small fry. Fries came out Lukewarm- Italian beef, completely cold. Absolutely disgusting. The beef was super fatty as well. 0/10 recommend. read more

#66-2021 Another Patio small local barbecue and more based in the Chicago area. Hadn't been here to Darien for quite some time but I have to say walking in was very impressed at how clean it was. Last patio experience was in Orland and it wasn't quite as good and neither was the food. From my house to the Orland location into here it's only about an extra 12 minutes or so to drive to here. Came and wanted to get one of the usuals have slab of ribs couple of sides and a beer. So me and Dad decided to have 1/2 slabs of ribs with french fries he opted for coleslaw I opted for the mac and cheese and I got a Coors light. Beer was cold but they don't give you cold glasses there unlike some of the other locations that do. that's something they could possibly work on they only have plastic cups but it is what it is. The main thing that separates you from Orland visit about a month ago was the meeting this at the ribs the half slab I had was fantastic the french fries were great they were not burnt and the mac and cheese was really really cheesy. All in all a nice experience sat down they brought out the food in a fairly timely manner it took a little longer than Orland but they had a ton of calling orders and app orders I could see the styrofoam containers lining up so it was fine. Staff were nice accommodating Walking out used the can to wash my hands was very clean. supplies were very well stocked and all in all definitely will come back here to Darien over Orland in my opinion now. read more

Skip this location. It's dirty. Dirty bathrooms, drink station, floors. The Bolingbrook location is spotless. Ordered chicken kabobs. Chicken was stringy and dry. Vegetables were mushy. Side of broccoli, broccoli was old. They always say dirty bathrooms = dirty kitchen. Oh and no hot water in bathrooms. Ick!!!! Sorry, won't be back to this location!! read more
