Outstanding chicken sandwiches and fries! We tried Khizer's based on reviews and were not disappointed. 10/10 will do again.

OMG an absolutely nothing to look at place but this place is a hidden gem! Amazing for real! On the other side of town in a somewhat sleazy strip mall. Well I saw someone comment on this place in a Facebook group. I never heard of this place so I ran over the next day. Had their Chicken Sandwich which was divine! I had it exactly how it comes. Served on a fluffy brioche bun with homemade cole slaw and some other sauce? Yumm! Fried to perfection. Appeared to be handmade (not frozen) huge and crispy! Easily could share! This place is nothing to look at but could be a gold mine if they did some easy cosmetic changes. Next time I'm getting their cheeseburger which came highly recommended? I finally got to tell the owner that he still has the best chicken sandwich I've ever had in my life and my fiancé and I stand on that. The chicken sandwich is massive and impressive. I've never had a chicken sandwich this big, crispy on the outside, moist inside, perfect sauce, slaw, great bun and don't let me get started on their seasoned fries!!! Bit of an odd experience, but the fried chicken sandwich was fantastic and a good value at $10. Chicken was nicely cooked and breading not too greasy or salty, with a nice sauce, coleslaw, and brioche-style bun. The sandwich was quite large, I couldn't finish it. The odd part is I didn't see anyone when I walked in, although someone came out from the back fairly promptly. I stepped out to run to the market after I ordered and when I came back I still didn't see anybody until my order was ready. Was a bit of a wait, about 15-20min total, but clearly everything was cooked fresh so I'm fine with that. One minor issue was the (very large order of) fries were closed up in a foam box, so they got a little soggy by the time I got back to work. read more

The food at Khizer's Kirchen is solid. All in all my experience was good. The food came out fresh, it had flavor but it was a slight salty for my liking. Overall, it was still good but a few tweaks and their food can be better. The fries were great: A+. They were seasoned perfectly with a solid crispy edge. The Butter chicken was good but I wish it was less salty and had a bit more cream. That would have pushed it over the top. The naan was nice and flaky and no complaints there. I would recommend but depends on what you order. Please order the crispy seasoned fries in any case. read more

The food was incredible! My husband can't stop talking about it, and we'll definitely be back. We had the chance to meet the owner, Khizer, who was incredibly well-mannered and had a great conversation with us. He personally prepared and cooked our meal on a Sunday night. As always the food was served hot & ready. The drinks and appetizers we absolutely ate the crap out of, were served with love and care. Strange combination of menu items but hey, who am I to judge? Boyfriend got the nuker chicken sandwich while I got the butter chicken and a melon bubble tea. We doordashed it so maybe that was part of the issue as the bubble tea came with the wrong fillings and the rice was near frozen, but that's OK. Because the food itself was fantastic. The actual best butter chicken I have had in my life: a creamy, slightly sweet and tangy sauce with chunks of tender tandoori chicken?? I could eat it daily. The portion size for the chicken was very small for the price - like 5 pieces - which is why i am docking a star. My first time here and kinda disappointed. 1. My wife asked the gentleman taking our order numerous times if the item we ordered had nuts in it. Each time he said no. Her motherly instincts kicked in and she asked if he can confirm with the chef. After he checked, it turns out that it does in fact contains nuts! Our daughter could have eaten that and probably would have had a allergic reaction! 2. Once we got the food, the chicken (with gravy) was a bit stale, hard and just didn't taste that good. The Nashville style chicken however was fresh and delicious along with the fries and naan. Can't quite recommend them yet for anything but Nashville Chicken and fries based on my first experience. This was honestly the worst mutton biryani I've ever had. The meat was mostly bones, and the flavor tasted entirely like store-bought Shan masala--no depth or freshness at all. I called the restaurant to share my concern, and while the owner, Khizer, initially sounded accommodating, he didn't actually do anything to resolve the issue. Not sure why there were zero customers the day we went at dinner time on a Wednesday. The food took a while to get but it was good for sure. The pics of the burgers show a thick patty...they are not. We were on the way back from a road trip and looking for a halal place to eat. My wife found Khizer's so we popped in. It has a mix of American-style fast food and Pakistani-Indian dishes, though not a huge menu. The interior is nothing fancy; kind of a basic fast food interior with clean tables but an icky sticky floor. We ordered two crispy chicken sandwiches, a 1/4 chicken wing/breast with medium spice, and seasoned fries. I thought the chicken sandwich was very good, though my wife felt the chicken should have had more flavor. A bigger gripe she had was the fact that the chicken was so thick; she felt they should have flattened it out more, but I felt it made the sandwich a better value. The slaw inside the sandwich gave it ample flavor, in my opinion. The Nashville Hot chicken wing/breast was very good. It was also a big, juicy piece of chicken nicely coated with seasoning. I didn't find it spicy at all. Rather, it reminded me of BBQ potato chips with a mix of sweet & salty seasoning. This dish was served with an interesting slaw (which I believe had pineapple in it) and two pieces of what I believe were Texas Toast. The fries were also very good. Nice and crispy, and generously seasoned. The only other comment I have is that the food took quite a while to come out, I'd say a good 20 minutes. I feel bad complaining about that because staff shortages are common these days, but we went at a slow time (around 3 pm) and no one else was there. If it was just my wife and I, it would be fine, but we had a screaming toddler with us. All in all, I'd say very tasty food and friendly service, but I'd recommend ordering ahead. 2nd visit here was somewhat disappointing. This time we ordered 3 chicken-in-sauce Indian dishes. The flavors were all wonderful, as was the garlic naan we ordered as a side. What was disappointing, however, was the amount of chicken. There was very little, or as my son described it: "Like a bag of McNuggets in a gallon of sauce." Reading their description of a dish called Highway Style Chicken Karachi, it starts out with "Whole Cut Chicken...". No way was that a whole chicken. In came in a 5x8x2-inch high plastic container, and was completely covered in sauce. A whole chicken (2 each of legs, thighs, breasts, and wings) could not have possibly fit in that container, even if they removed all the bones. We counted 2 legs. I felt extremely ripped off, despite having enjoyed the flavor. Luckily, we had leftovers from the previous night to to fill us up. read more

In comparison to all the chicken biryani in this area (Bolingbrook, aurora, plainfield, naperville), we think Khizer serves the best biryani. I don't know about the other items on their menu, but the biryani is on point. Generous portions. I think this place, and Laziz, have the best biryani in the area. read more

This is one of the newer Pakistani/Halal/Burger place in the Bolingbrook area located behind the McDonalds. I ordered delivery using Uber Eats. Their menu is diversified between traditional American burgers and Pakistani cusine. This place gives a feeling of a fusion fast food. I ordered Behari Beef from there. It was decent quality. Behari steak was cooked in kabab style in small pieces and severd over basmati rice with lots of wonderful flavor. It came with a creamy salad that was close to a coleslaw and a house dressing, very similar to spicy chipotle sauce. Portion size was not huge, but it was acceptable. Price was competitive, ofcouse I paid a bit more as I used Uber Eats for the delivery. My only concern was the restaurant failed to follow my special instructions in regards to the order. Which was a very simple request. If you are looking for a quick bite to eat with lots of flavor and spice I would definitely recommend this place. read more

I always get the Nuker sandwich from here and it is the BEST chicken sandwich I have ever had! Don't waste your time with Popeye's or any other chicken place because once you've had the chicken from here nothing else will compare! The chicken is moist, not dry, the Nashville fried chicken breading is delicious and crunchy with the perfect spices. The Nuker sauce they use is also delicious and spicy. And the coleslaw as the final touch is perfect and brings the sandwich all together. The sandwich is also quite large and will fill you up completely, so come hungry :) The staff is also very nice and wait times are never too long from my experience. Bismillah. This place has definitely earned my 5 star review as it meets two of the most important criteria for any food connoisseur, these being taste and consistency. My family and I ordered from Khizer's Kitchen 3 times and MashAllah this place has proven they have a knack for cooking. Their "Crispy N' Chick Burger" is crispy and delicious, a modern take on the classic zinger burger many zabiha halal restaurants try to replicate. Their "Nuker Fire Burger" is quite tasty as well with the sauce complimenting the crispiness of the chicken patty so well. The coleslaw for all burgers is a great homage to southeastern US cuisine and does not overwhelm the palate with its sweet/ pickling character. The buns are generously covered with the sauce and the meat is properly cooked (most important), tender, and devoid of any bones. The animal fries are also quite tasty and an interesting zabiha halal take on an American fad of a dish. So in short: Pros: 1) great/ crunchy burgers in terms of cooking, preparation, presentation, and taste 2) Zabiha Halal (a spiritual bonus) Cons: 1) a bit pricey (but size of the patty compensates for it so it is worth it), 2) no option for a chicken bucket, just individual chicken patties/ pieces. Would highly recommend this place for sure and can't wait to go back! read more

Phenomenal. I 10/10 recommend if you're looking for burgers or chicken with a twist. Choose as low as possible spice levels if you're not able to handle spicy because even that has a kick. I personally have not tried much yet but I'm absolutely coming back and bringing friends. read more
