We were passing by special tea in Naperville so decided to give it a try! The place is super cute inside with tons of colorful seating, artsy decor, a wall of teddy bears filled with tiny beads, and so many unique trinkets! We decided to try out the mango jasmine fruit tea which is one of their most popular drinks. The service was super quick and the drink was ready in minutes! The tea was a little too sweet for my liking but the mango and jasmine flavors were both very apparent! The prices are reasonable and there is tons of variety for everyone! We could definitely come back again to try out their brown sugar milk tea which was also on their very popular menu! Great quick spot for boba tea if you're in the area! read more

SpecialTea is one of my fav boba places. The interior has different kinds of seating making it more inviting. It's located in the same plaza as the Naperville DMV. The variety of boba drinks is what I really like here. You can get milk tea, fruit tea, coffees, smoothies, yakult yogurt drinks, and more. They have the cheese foam on some drinks plus you can adjust the sugar and ice levels on a lot of the drinks. Yay for choices and getting what you prefer. SpecialTea also has those bear-shaped cups that look super cute on the gram and in person. You'll have to pay extra for that influencer novelty, and you can even choose a little hat for it. read more

Just okay. I got the strawberry jasmine tea with tapioca pearls which cost $5.75 plus $2.95 for the bear cup. I was disappointed by the pearls which were still hard in the center and smaller than I was used to. The bear cup is super cute but was a thin plastic which I thought was going to be stronger/reusable. You do have the option to add unique ingredients like whey protein. The interior has a super cute aesthetic, so I would go for the experience, but not for the bubbles. We were the only ones in the shop and waited less than 5 minutes for the order. read more

I was visiting the DMV next door and chanced upon this boba place. Anyone who knows me, knows I am a boba fanatic, so of course, I didn't just get one but TWO drinks to go. I ordered the Ube Cheese Smoothie and the Honeydew Milk Tea. The Ube was, by far, way better than the honeydew milk. It was rich in flavor, smooth and not overly sweet. The Honeydew milk was a disappointment because neither did it have the weird fake honeydew flavor I've so coke to love in Asian candies and drinks, it also failed to have any real taste at all. That being said, the ambience was cutesie and comfortable, and the servers behind the counter were courteous. The four stars because of the lack of flavor in one drink, and for the fact that it felt rather expensive. In either case, I'm going back to try more of these drinks! read more

My husband and I stopped in this adorable bubble tea spot before running errands and really enjoyed it. We ordered a coconut milk tea with coffee jelly - boy was this a delicious combo. We also got an Ube bubble tea with crystal boba - this by far was the prettiest purple ube milk tea I have ever seen. The crystal boba however was abl bit denser than regular tapioca so I probably wouldn't get it again since I prefer the other texture. We also got two mochi waffle bears - Nutella with crispies & biscoff butter - they were warm, chewy, delicious and very cute. Honestly, I love this little spot and it has such a creative and colorful display that is super aesthetically pleasing. On top of it all, the staff was very friendly and patient with our questions. I definitely would return next time we're back in town and I recommend you try it. read more

Such a cute spot , drinks were great, they are part of a strip mall So Plenty of parking however the store has a weird smell that hits you as soon as you walk in. My kids couldn't stop complaining about the scent and we couldn't put our finger around what it was. Seating is very limited I would say under 15 seats but it was empty on a weekday night. Cute little bubble tea spot in the corner of the Hobson West Plaza (a.k.a. the DMV plaza). The interior is very fun. Lots of decorative items and colorful seats. The menu has a good selection of bubble tea and milk tea drinks to choose from, including some unique items like ube cheese smoothie and yakult (a yogurt-based drink). They also have a few coffee-based drinks. We ordered a roasted oolong milk tea and an Ovaltine coco smoothie w/ cheese top. We asked for the hot version of both drinks since it was cold and rainy out. There was only one lady working at the time, so it took several minutes for our our to be ready, but no big deal. Good to see they had a steady flow of customers. Bubble tea and milk tea are never a good value once you research the cost of ingredients, but pricing here was reasonable compared to other places (cheaper than Elitea and GongCha). The roasted oolong tea was great. Nice roasty flavor, and good creaminess from the milk. The Ovaltine drink had an interesting salty cheese topping, but overall was kind of mild flavored. It wasn't bad by any means, but we regularly buy Ovaltine and I can make a pretty mean Ovaltine smoothie at home. All in all, not a bad place to grab a bubble tea or milk tea if you're in the area. read more

I come here every time I return a package to the ups store. The shop is super cute with comfy chairs. Service is friendly and fast. I always get a large signature milk tea with 0% sugar regular ice and tapioca and split with my husband. It's got a nice black tea flavor and is creamy even though it is dairy free. The tapioca is sweet but not too sweet. The drink is also reasonably priced around $7 - I've noticed other places charging $10 now for boba!! read more

Oh man, I got hardcore influenced. I was seeing this place ALL over Instagram and when I realized it was a mere 10 minutes from my house, knew we just had to try it! The husband and I got there and were greeted by the single loveliest person in Naperville, who was so sweet and patient as we tried to figure out what to order and again when I accidentally flung the plastic menu sheets across the place with my purse (awkward for liiiiife). I got a brown sugar milk tea with boba and coffee jelly and it was ABSOLUTELY delicious. Husband got a mocha milk tea and loved his as well. The drinks are pretty good depending on what you get but way overpriced. I got a smoothie and it was $7 and the boba is $6 or more depending on what you get. The service is good and there is nothing wrong with the workers. The inside is cool because there is these bears filled up with different color foam balls.
