I have been shopping here since it opened and the last two visits (back-to-back weeks), they have been making so many price mistakes from what is on the sign to what is actually rung up on the register, that I need to speak up. These are big time $$$ differences and they add up. Watch out! As a consumer they should honor their mistakes. They said I should read. Today, I didn't bring my readers, sorry. But when you see 10 items on the shelf above the $9.99 sign, you would automatically think okay, it's $9.99, but at the register it's $12.99. I snapped a picture to prove that there were more than one box above the price. (I could have clapped back and said then your workers should read and be able to put things on the right shelf). Produce that's rotten is sold so make sure you are opening up boxes and packages. Wish I took pictures of the rotting produce. At least I didn't buy those. Saw my receipt that they charged $1.29/lb for my Korean radish which should have been 79 cents. UGH! Guys, pay attention to how they are ringing you up. Two transactions in a row with multiple mistakes. I asked to talk with the manager. The female worker said she is not here and will come at 12noon. Then said actually will come tomorrow. Went to the Customer Service desk and the guy there said the manager is in the bathroom. Both workers started to talk to each other in Spanish. The female worker telling him, tell her the manager is not coming back until tomorrow. I told them I can speak Spanish and I understood everything they said. They got quiet very quickly. My first time at H Mart and I loved it, just wish we lived closer so I could take more fresh items home! We arrived right at opening, there is a large parking lot. They have many items in bulk, a large fruit and vegetable section, prepared items, meat and seafood and all the seasonings, rice, and noodles. We purchased a bunch of prepared food since we were hungry and the food stalls hadn't opened yet. Prices were normal Asian food prices - they did have a few sales going on. I was in the neighborhood and decided to stop in and quickly got distracted by the stationery store out front (bought a few pens and folders/notebooks to get organized for the year). All things super cute and well priced imo. As for the groceries I found it to be pretty well stocked and spacious. It was pretty easy to find what we needed and I felt like I wanted more time to comb through the aisles but alas I could not spend too much time with the littles in tow. Wow. This place is really amazing-- I felt like I was in Seoul Korea. The selection of freshly made Korean food and groceries is incredible. Bakery, produce, prepared foods, etc are all really good. In addition, they have a food court and shopping area adjacent to the grocery area. It's just set off by a separate entrance. That area is really unique because there are many Asian style restaurants, boba tea, and a coffee shop/bakery. Overall: Great place to check out. Highly recommended. read more

You are able to get so many things here that are Asian and Pan Asian and especially Korean of course. There is a huge parking lot, this is a gigantic mall with many stores that you could easily go to after coming to the store. There's also a food court inside And other small stores. You'll have fresh fruit and vegetables and they're reasonably priced and they also have ready to eat Korean take out food already wrapped for you as well as all types of noodles for any dish and ice cream and ramen. The price is here for non-Asian items might not be the best because you're better off going to Costco or target or Walmart or going to other grocery stores for other items when they have sales. But they are very clean and the store is gigantic and there is so much variety of snacks and cute Stores with stuffed animals and even a claw machine next to a bubble tea place. read more

I enjoyed H Mart. They had a fruit and produce selection that appeared phenomenal, and I have gotten good fruit from here. Their store has a layout that I liked. I enjoyed getting soy milk from here, e.g., VitaSoy soy milk. Their foods seem to be high quality. They have lots of snacks as well. read more

I frequently visit a local market known for its specialty meats, seafood, Asian vegetables & a wide range of goodies. The store is always clean during my visits which adds to the pleasant experience. LOVE having this HMart 10 minutes from my house. (Remember the 90s and 2ks when you had to drive 45 minutes around Chicagoland for the right Asian ingredients? No more!!) They have all the top brands and variety of products you are looking for as far as your favorite Asian cuisine and grocery products from different parts of Asia. I'm loving these frozen pork dumplings right now. Big bulk bag I throw in my basement freezer and pull out when I want a fast dinner. Good bulgogi/sukiyaki meat for when we have a family get together and want to go traditional. Tons of noodles and tons of rice types. Frozen foods, liquor, ice cream, meats, lots of produce....they have every category covered. The foods court has developed over the years and they have several options. I'll divide this review into two parts. Weekday and weekend. On a weekday, H-Mart is amazing. No problem finding parking. Plenty of tables to eat in the food court. Food has been consistently good. The grocery section has everything I need in stock. Not much waiting to check out. 5 out of 5. On a weekend, parking is more difficult. Food court is packed and seating can be limited. A lot more tourists are shopping here. Longer waiting to check out can easily be up to 10 mins. That's a 2 out of 5. Final rating is about a 3. read more

My husband and I went to H Mart - Naperville to pick up supplies for a barbecue we were going to. I was really impressed with the selection we found here. We ended up getting some beef and pork to grill. It took us several minutes to choose meats because of the variety that is offered. We also picked up a gigantic watermelon that was very sweet. In addition to grocery products, H Mart - Naperville also features an upgraded food court featuring Paris Baguette, Paik's Noodles, Mochinut, among others. This is not my usual hmart location, so I'm probably always comparing to the one by me in Niles. One good thing is that you could probably find what you're looking for and always a few occasional wow deals like fresh head on prawns $3.99/lb - it must have been 20ct sized, I was only looking to get the marinated meats and some panchan this trip but wow, what a deal the menu changed that night for sure! Something that is annoying is that they rarely have the panchan that I'm used to, must be different suppliers. However they did have an assortment tray of bibimbop vegetables (which is like a sampler panchan platter). Perfect I thought! Great accompaniment to my meal that night. read more

Nice fresh produce section, lately I've been getting my fresh bean sprouts here and they have been superbly fresh. Large selection of Asian and domestic produce. Huge fish area, dried, frozen , and fresh. Of course large selection of Asian canned sauces, noodles, veges, etc. The fresh meat section had good prices and ample selection, the pork in particular looked excellent. I first stepped in here when I wasn't even Yelping. I last stepped in here probably in 2013, 9 years ago, when we were still living in Naperville. Stepping in today, this place felt newer, cleaner, and better maintained than ever. The facade looks new and modernized, and the store is spacious and well laid out. It feels bigger than H Mart's big Niles store, but maybe that's only because it's laid out better and cleaner here. They also have a clean, spacious, modern, and vibrant K-Town Food Hall food court here. They've got the usual large inventory of Korean groceries. Overall, seems to me like it's the best H Mart of 'em all in Chicagoland. read more

Not a fan of this particular H Mart location at all. Rude service, dirty interior, and overpriced goods. Just because this H Mart is bigger than some of the other locations in the Chicago Metro Area does not mean it is automatically better. Food offered in the food court was also mediocre at best (and very expensive too). The only reason why this place is getting 2 stars from me is because of the presence of a Paris Baguette bakery and a Gong Cha location, but even then the Paris Baguette bakery had very disappointing selection. This place kind of baffles me because I seem to have a completely different experience every time I go. Gladly yesterday it was pretty good. A bit crowded with the Sunday post-church crowd, but the place was generally clean and non-fishy smelling and I found a lot of good stuff. The store is Korean but they have a lot more Japanese stuff than they used to, which saves on a trip to Arlington Heights to Mitsuwa. You will particularly find this in the snacky area that is right in front of the checkout lanes. They had a lot of those Poppin Cookin kits for making candies there as well. As to the checkout, here's my only true gripe. If I'm buying breakables (a mug, in this case), I really don't want it bowled down the conveyor belt and then packed in the bottom of a bag with a bunch of other stuff. The clerk also started ringing up the next person before I even had my receipt in hand! Just slow down, please. It wasn't even that busy at that point. We'll see what the next visit to H Mart is like, but I was fairly satisfied this time. read more

Great place in Naperville to get some Asian groceries! Best products in my opinion are definitely the meats, ranging from kobe beef to thinly sliced pork belly, as well as the live seafood (especially lobster, when it's cheap...sometimes as low as $6.99/lb!!)! Their shrimp is also really good, with a great firm texture and full flavor when cooked, unlike a lot of other grocery stores. There are lots of different types of fresh produce as well, although there are times when some of the vegetables are wrapped in plastic, and so they may not be as fresh as they seem -- and cannot last within the refrigerator for an extra day or two. Besides that though, H Mart is definitely must visit in Naperville if you're looking for Asian groceries!! read more

I wish there were people there to help you. Not one staff member asked if I needed help with anything. The only workers were baggers and cashiers. Had a great experience in the store. The staff there was very friendly. The availability of items I was looking for was solid. I ate at the Korean shop to the far right and had to wait a long time for deonjangjigae. Others ordered after me and got their food (maybe kimchijigae) sooner. Wanting to fill his grandkids up with candy as grandpas love to do, my father stumbled into H-Mart, thinking it was your typical American grocery store. Not recognizing a single product, nor understanding the language spoken around him, he left confused and empty handed. While describing the scene in which he found himself, to his dismay his 7 yr old granddaughter quickly exclaimed "Grandpa! You were in H-Mart! I go there all the time! I love it!" And she does. And her mother too. Whether it's for Sun ramen, Japanese gummies (because let's face it; they're the best.), junk food necessities like Kaki No Tane, Pocky, Hello Panda cookies, the best mango popsicles you can imagine, nashi the size of your head, rice crackers, Asian sodas... curry, panko, peanuts in bulk to make peanut butter.. and let's not forget the food court... yes, H-Mart is a regular stop. They do also carry a nice selection of rice cookers. I'm on my 2nd Zojirushi. At $300, this particular model is the Cadillac of rice cookers, but I love the many options that it offers and believe the price tag to be completely justifiable since I use it multiple times a week. It's great having a bigger Asian grocery store like H Mart around, but this isn't at the same level of the Korean grocery stores in Niles and Skokie. Props for making small improvements in ready made foods available right after the produce area. There's even sushi, chirashi bowls, and sushi adjacent to it. You'll also find housewares and home goods, which are interesting to shop around. The meat and seafood department is pretty decent, and it's nice to see hot pot items being made more available like the various fish balls and thin sliced meats. Service can be inconsistent at times when you need someone at the customer service desk. Cashiers will just look at you with no acknowledgement that someone will be there to help even though you're waving and asking for assistance. On the flip side, the food court has finally gotten respectable with every stall now open instead of it looking like a ghost town at times. They just might need to add more seating since it runs out during busy times! They have a cafe, Korean chicken, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean foods to choose from all of which are generally decent and affordable. The fried chicken and taiyaki red bean cake has to be my favorite though! read more
