Everybody needs this in their freezer

This place is full of prepackaged foods. If you're into frozen foods, you're set. I'm really more of a naturalist, but I'm always on a quest for protein and I like quick snacks that support those goals. There are so many good protein options, but my favorites are ready to eat shelled edamame and peanut butter protein granola. I also like tossing their black bean burgers in the air fryer. Other mentions have to be the garlicky stir fried cabbage, French onion macaroni and cheese and don't forget the ice cream choices. Customer service is great. Prices are great. But the parking lot is a hot mess.

What I like about trader joes is that they sell 4lb of strawberries. Other stores sells 1-2 and wholesaler costco only sells 2lb. Trader joes prices are also low and they have lots of granola options you cant find in other stores. The place is very clean and organized. Unlike other stores bathroom is very clean and smells fresh.

This is my go-to location, for convenience and due to all the good stuff listed in my last review. But I wanted to update today after extra help from the staff. In case you hadn't noticed, we live in Illinois, and it has snowed a lot lately! As always, the question becomes what to do with said snow, and usually the answer is, pile it in some corner of the parking lot. Which is ok except that one of these corners happened to be the driver's side of the handicapped parking space close to TJs door. (Note to plows: we aren't just passengers, we are also drivers!) I mentioned it to the two supervisors at the desk before I left, since I had had to park over the line to make sure both my car door and I would have enough room for the dismount (I swing both feet out, place them and my cane on the ground, then step out of the car, so I can't step into a snowbank). Rich walked out with me, looked at the snow, thanked me for telling the supervisors, said that they could shovel it out some more, and also took my cart back for me. It was very helpful of him, and I'm glad it wasn't just a "well, that's the plow's job" answer. I will say, this is one of my favorite stores to shop at as a person with a disability because it's not enormous, so I can manage it without getting exhausted. Thank you Rich, and thank you Trader Joe's!

Trader joe's never fails to disappoint me. This morning I came in to buy some flowers to make my father a birthday bouquet and was surprised by a lovely variety and selection. 2 workers greeted me and complimented my selections. The service I receive from here is always so kind and humble. The employees are kind enough to even organize my groceries in bags while i'm finishing my transaction. The total today came around to 30 dollars with taxes and the most expensive thing i bought were the garden roses for 8.99

I absolutely love this location! Everyone is super sweet, friendly, and willing to help out however they can. Their samples and wine are also both bomb, and I go pretty bananas over their limited edition and holiday items. This location also does a lot for the community, which I think is really awesome. Obviously, the food selection is wonderful, and you're pretty much guaranteed to find something you like and want to come back to. This location is also pretty big - when comparing my experience to my friends' experiences at other Trader Joe's locations, it simply doesn't even compare. They often have items that other locations are out of. I know the staff personally because of how much I love shopping here, and everyone is wonderful. If you're not satisfied with your local supermarket and want to stop-by, this is it! It's also not just the food. Their flower selection here in particular is probably the best I've seen compared to any other Trader Joe's. I attached some pictures of some pretty flowers yay :) P.S. it is true that parking is a bit tricky. The lot is oddly shaped and there are people constantly walking around. Just be careful and patient, of course!

Love this Trader Joe's location! Usually stocked with everything I need + it has gorgeous flowers. I picked out a pretty bouquet of peonies yesterday. I was chatting with the checkout lady, Eva, and she gave the flowers to me on the house because I told her that my husband and I just celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary! That is amazing customer service! Thank you Eva and TJ's! I will be back soon :)

Their sale prices are good, though their everyday prices are high. It's definitely one of the best Jewel-Oscos I've ever shopped at.  I'm very lucky to be so close to this one.  It is always clean, and I always just feel very happy when I'm shopping in this store.  I also feel like I'm upper class when I'm shopping here, even if I'm really just a twenty something trying to make their way in the world.  The quality of the produce, meats, deli, and bakery are unmatched.  That part of the store is always immaculate and I typically want to buy everything in sight when I'm in this part of the store. The service is always excellent and today, when a long line formed in the express lanes, the managers reacted quickly to get extra help and handled all the checkouts I could see in a quick, efficient and courteous manner.  Bravo Jewel Osco! Great job.

No I didn't, she finally changed the price. In front of the registers there was a cooler said buy.1 get one free, lower price free on Dutchmade cheeses. Of course they rang up at full price $3.79. The woman used her phone and scanned the cheese and told me they weren't on sale but she would give it to me for free? Anyway, everything about the store is a win for me. I love the selection of produce, but sometimes they do run very low on things. They do offer a lot of products that are hard to find elsewhere and the quality is always really good . I don't go out of my way for organic, but they definitely have a really big selection Since Covid, I don't do hot bars, but they're premade meals are decent like the prime rib for like 10 bucks I found some of the best deals on really high-quality meat I've never been good at cooking steaks, but grabbed a Wagyu strip steak there for half off and it was easily the best thing I've ever made my family like their plates. Yes they're savages, but even they don't usually go that far. They have great selections of cheeses and ethnic spices that are hard to find in an actual supermarket so it's nice not to have to go to 20 different places. I love to cook, which means sometimes I need small amounts of spices if I'm trying something new so it's nice to be able to get most of them there. I think they originated in Ohio, so it's nice to see some of the Kroger offering since I lived there as a kid so it's nostalgic. The neighbor people that hanging out with the bar freaked me out a little bit not gonna lie. I don't get it. I can get behind one and have a drink as you walk through a grocery shopping but to go hang out at the grocery store for no reason, but to sit there and drink as people try to navigate their carts around you... yeah.... Weird. Sorry. Now here's what I definitely don't understand. Their cakes are so underrated unless I've just been walking through life with sunglasses in the AirPods. I have never heard anyone talk about how good their bakery is. They have a huge selection of premade stuff that isn't really their brand but the cupcakes that are made in the store and the cakes they make are incredible. The frosting for their buttercream, you can tell has actual butter in it most grocery stores around here for buttercream seem like they use shortening. I think Mariano's is fantastic and will definitely consider them when I need to order cakes in the future. The people there are also really helpful. My favorite is the woman that supervises the self checkout. She's incredibly friendly and helpful. She doesn't always come across that way initially because she doesn't seem outgoing but she really is great. I definitely say just throw this on your list of regular spots to shop.

The store is well-kept and clean throughout. The bakery, meat and cheese departments and the hot food/salad bar area are great. They have several made-to-order options that looked good and worth trying. Some of the standouts were the broasted chicken, pizza and sushi. There's a halal butcher and just a plain butcher, about which as a vegetarian I can tell you nothing, a bakery, and a Latin American and Indian mini-cafe. The produce section is very crowded (and offers a wild variety with some excellent specials), and the endcaps on the aisles extend into the aisle, meaning in several places there's only room for one cart and you'll have to excuse yourself to get where you're going. Be prepared. I was impressed by their selection of organic spices and they also had some organic Asian noodles (buckwheat and soba). They also have a good selection of Latin American groceries, including huancaina sauce from Peru (yes!), frozen plantains and Guarana soda. I've seen larger selections of Indian and Eastern European products at dedicated specialty groceries, but no one else in the area carries it all. Many, many different types of flatbread and a wide selection of Middle Eastern sweets; various dry pulses; various types of candy; pearled farro and more versions of burek than I've seen before, including a "vegan be'f". The Indian mini-cafe is half vegetarian, half non; the Latin American one has various kinds of filling in carbs, and if you're vegetarian, all they have is cheese - though the fried corn-dough empanada, cheese in an eggroll like wrapper and pastelito (cheese in pastry) offered various textural delights. This is a haul for me, and I usually try to avoid I-59 but this place might be worth a special trip.
