I am revising my review. We had an off experience when we moved here and I had a review the was 2 stars for the experience I had at check out. Yelp just reminded me of that review, saying they were showcasing it for people searching. I didn't even remember the review. In any case that was 10 years ago. We have been back to Casey's maybe 150 plus times since then and have had only good experiences. I will say it again... the butcher is the best. And all the staff are friendly. Good quality stuff. Nice people. And the moral of the story is if you see a bad review look how old it is before you judge..... someone could have forgotten about it. Go to Casey's. Buy some meat. First time coming here. Medium sized grocery store with a fair selection of items. It definitely reminds me of being in a 90s time machine. It's a local staple in the community. Overall prices on most items were pretty pricey and there wasn't much of a clearance section or really many of the healthy items I was looking for. I do enjoy that there are no self check out lanes! read more

Casey's is my go to place and the highlight is always the wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable service in the meat department where they help no matter what I need. The store is stocked and very well organized and everything is easy to find. I have shopped here for over 40 years. Today, once again had wonderful service until I was checking out and the cashier was not very friendly and after spending over $200 she did not thank me or acknowledge me as a repeat customer like the butchers always do. A smile and a thank you and maybe see you next time would be nice since there are so many places to shop in Naperville now and customers can't be taken for granted that are loyal shoppers. read more

I love Casey's and Mike's. Are they expensive, yes is the quality there, yes. Casey's takes me back to my childhood, Burton's in downtown Hinsdale (they sponsored my little league team). Safari in Yorkville; a little community grocery store that was like walking back into the Fifties (what a loss to the community). Casey's; easy to navigate, Naperville is larger than Western Springs. Both have excellent butcher cases. They make sandwiches, and have products many other places do not. Stewart's Private Blend, check. The 5 stars here is for the meat counter. Great meat and selection. Premium prices but high quality. Fast service, take a number and the wait is not long unless you come at peak times. Puts big supermarket meat to shame. They have some more exotic type meats etc in a frozen case to the far left of the meat counter. Produce is fresh, usually very well wrapped, but high in price. It's a smallish store but they carry the basics. Checkout is never busy on my off peak visits. read more

First time going here. I was at Trader Joe's (which is in the same shopping center) and they didn't have wasabi paste or white wine vinegar. I called Casey's and they said they had both items. When I arrived, Mike had the paste and 3 choices of vinegar on the counter for me to choose. It was the best service I've ever received at a grocery store! I have been going to Casey's for 22 years now. I have never had a bad experience. I go 2-3 times a week. The produce, while a little more costly, is the best and lasts longer. But the reason I keep coming back is the butcher. This is an old school butcher. All the meat is terrific. The butchers themselves make this place. They have wonderful Wednesday and Saturday meat specials, which you can learn about the day before on their emails. Today I got the skirt steak special, 2$ off a pound, and the butcher asked me if I'd like for him to score it for me! The personal touch means a lot. I've gone to Casey's for 10 years now, mainly for the full-service meat counter and deli. Service is always knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. It is on the pricier side, but, as they say, you get what you pay for--and what I get at Casey's is always great. If I feel like splurging I'll get produce there too. It seems like people like Casey's for their meat selection, but as a vegetarian, I can say that I enjoy this place's selection mainly for the global cuisine necessities they stock that are harder to find elsewhere. Located conveniently next to the Gartner Avenue Trader Joe's, I've been able to find ingredients for my cooking that Trader Joe's don't have, like white wine vinegar and green curry paste. Yes, they do charge a bit more than other supermarkets, but it is a local grocery store and the people who work here live around and are really friendly. I don't find Casey's to be as expensive as Mariano's or even Jewel which are also nearby. I definitely recommend checking them out if you're in the area or need a specific item. read more

I must give mega-props to Casey's deli counter. I went today to lay in provisions before the giant snowstorm that's supposed to hit in the next few days, including some lunchmeats for sandwiches. Apparently other people had the same idea, because there was a line of about 15 people in front of me. At your average deli this would have taken forever. Here it was maybe a ten minute wait. Why? The efficiency of the deli staff, of whom there were at least half a dozen, working quickly and with a great attitude -- polite, friendly and fast. I really don't like this store but will occasionally get ground beef and lunch meat there. It's very high quality. The problem is that I don't get vibes that my business is appreciated. They have plexiglass walls up by the check out. Do I have cooties or look dirty so you think this is necessary? Some workers wear masks so forget a friendly smile. We have to drive past about 13 grocery stores to get to Casey's, but it is worth it for their meat counter. My husband loves to experiment with cooking different cuts of meat, and Casey's has a delicious and expensive selection. Another of my favorites from Casey's are their crab cakes! So good. read more

Today was my first time ever shopping in Casey's. I ran in to grab some of my neighbor's favorite foods since she is going through a hard time. Time for a little update. Just for clarification, on Saturdays, during the summer, they set up a grill outside and offer a special along with a fixed menu. One Saturday the special was a Reuben sandwich, if they ever offer that again I hope someone calls me. It was the best Reuben I have ever eaten. The smells cause your mouth to water just finding a parking space. Inside, I continue to be dumbfounded by the cluelessness of some of the people who shop there. I know this will come as a BIG surprise, but it really is NOT all about you. Just be prepared to be shocked by some unusual behavior. Summary: a great meat counter and a convenient location make this place what it is. Casey isn't the cheapest grocery store. Let's get that out of the way. I don't think they are trying to compete for budgeted shopper though. I won't shop here every week for that reason, but I do find myself here every other week or so for odds and ends due to their location and that they carry everything you expect from a supermarket. And I've been very impressed with their meat counter. I'm looking forward to warm weather so I can grill some steaks and burgers and I'm reminded every time I walk by that counter. read more

I absolutely love Casey's foods for many, many reasons. Whenever I walk into Casey's, I feel like I'm in Mr. Rogers neighborhood. Everything is so white, clean and shiny and the staff are always so pleasant and helpful. Even the people that shop that are so kind and friendly. It never fails that I meet someone new in the deli and they recommend something new for me to try like Casey's bleu cheese crumble burgers. It is extremely close to my home so I much prefer it over driving to the Meijer in Bolingbrook or Whole Foods off of 75th. I especially love it because Trader Joes doesnt always have the groceries I need so I can walk right over to Casey's and finish my shopping. The other day after Orange Theory fitness, I walked over and picked up two apple and raisin stuffed pork chops for dinner. They were massive and I only paid like $6 bucks for both. My husband was quite pleased, as was I because not only were they delicious but all I had to do was pop them in the oven and 45 minutes later dinner was done. I also like their produce section. They have the most perfect fruits and vegetables, all neatly organized. They also have little samples of cheese, grapes, salami, and crackers throughout. I love it! Their deli is also really great. They have all different types of salads and sides and their cold cuts are the best. Boar's head! I was in charge of bringing dessert to my parents for Easter dinner so, of course, I went to Casey's because they have a great variety of baked goods that you can't find anywhere else. I was stuck between the precious cake that looked like baby lamb (see picture) or the apple pie covered in caramel sauce. I opted for the apple pie and it was a huge hit! Bake that sucker and throw some vanilla ice cream on it....I promise you won't be disappointed! My only complaint about this place are the prices. This isn't a cheap grocery store that is for sure. I would say that the prices are comparable to whole foods. But you are paying for the quality of food. I have been most pleased with everything I have ever bought here and now I'm ruined for life. The deli counter is unbelievably amazing and I dream about their selection of pasta salads, fresh sammies, and baked goods. The women behind the counter can be a little low on the patience level but in their defense, they are very understaffed. The deli section is always packed with people waiting to get a glimpse of all the excellence. The items they serve are also pricey but oh so delicious therefore I make the sacrifice and part ways with my cash. I do really like that they've started carrying more specialty items from local purveyors though. I wish they'd put more focus on that, I found the rest of the store to have a pretty poor selection and grossly overpriced for regulat everyday items. It's like if you went grocery shopping in a convenience store and bought sour cream, crackers, and sunflower seeds with a $25 bill. Also, I don't think the employees are very friendly. I defo get the vibe that everyone's waiting for their shift to be over. Sometimes in the warmer months they'll have people grilling fresh items outside they're doors and I must say, they are mouth wateringly delicious and could be the only thing that Casey's sells that aren't overpriced. read more

Casey's is a professional operation. I casually strolled each isle on a Friday morning and confirmed you'll pay top dollar for everything...especially the generic Gold Leafed Toilet Paper.
