This Gong Cha is located inside the foodcourt of the Hmart. There was a kiosk where you can peruse the menu and place your order. I wanted to get the milk tea with the tapioca that came in the gingerbread bottle. My milk tea gingerbread bottle was adorned with a matching hat and scarf combo. Unfortunately my milk tea was too sweet and the tapioca was not as soft and chewy as I expected it to be. The presentation was cute but the actual drink wasn't that tasty unfortunately. read more

So, I was waiting at the cashier about like 3-5mins waiting for staff members to come(they were finishing up someone's order). The tea had a bit of a strange grainy aftertaste, but the boba itself was really sweet and chewy. The 3rd item was a drink and one of the ingredients they didn't have. 2 drivers cancelled due to the complication and 3rd didn't know what to do. Not uber eats fault. I am not a fan of this place. They try to force you to use the computer kiosk in order to save on people taking your orders for you. People might like the taste of what they have. Love that there's finally a Taiwanese bubble tea shop in Naperville, located right in the H-Mart food court. There's a wide selection of drinks with various options for toppings (eg boba, pudding, jelly). The sweetness can be a bit excessive in my opinion, so I usually opt for either 0% or 30% sweetness level, but that's just my personal taste. Prices are a little steep ($6-$7 for the larger drinks), but it seems comparable to other boba shops in the Chicagoland area, so can't really complain on that front. Regardless, the store has great service and is a nice place to get some Taiwanese bubble tea! Will definitely come back to try the other options on the menu! read more

Note: As of this writing (April 1st, 2022), Gong cha is not yet open! They are working on it, but currently cannot sell any drinks. For now they are only offering samples. Gong cha will be located inside the food court of the H Mart grocery store. They will offer a variety of bubble teas and coffees. The menu looks pretty good and offers a couple of unique items I haven't seen elsewhere. Similar to Pisces Cafe, you'll be able to select your ice and sugar levels. Pricing looks to be a tiny bit higher than other bubble tea shops, but it's negligible. I tried a few samples: strawberry creme brulee, caramel milk tea, and taro milk tea. All tasted very good, but the strawberry creme brulee was my favorite because I've never had a drink quite like this one. It doesn't matter if it's busy, slow, or whatever - the service is consistently and dependably disappointing. What's the hold up?
