This Gong Cha is located inside the foodcourt of the Hmart. There was a kiosk where you can peruse the menu and place your order. I wanted to get the milk tea with the tapioca that came in the gingerbread bottle. My milk tea gingerbread bottle was adorned with a matching hat and scarf combo. Unfortunately my milk tea was too sweet and the tapioca was not as soft and chewy as I expected it to be. The presentation was cute but the actual drink wasn't that tasty unfortunately. read more

The tea had a bit of a strange grainy aftertaste, but the boba itself was really sweet and chewy. We were eating in the food court like area and wanted to try the drinks at Gong Cha. They were very tasty and we enjoyed them very much. We appreciated the opportunity to order them with the desired amount of ice and sugar. One at the table ordered with 50% less sugar, and the other ordered 100% of both. So delighted to find a gong cha close to me. Coming from Asia , I had high expectations and a strong craving and I wasn't disappointed. I went for the brown sugar boba milk tea with lesser ice and 30% sugar. With tbe brown sugar, that level of sweetness was honestly enough, could probably go 0% in future. Went to Gong Cha on a whim after the Gardens in Lisle. The concept of the tea is a great idea. However they're lacking in name calling for teas, and it took us about 20 minutes to receive our tea. They have changed how they take orders now. There are two big screens on which to order so you don't order with people anymore. When I went in last, 10/6, they were "sold out" of everything on their screens, but the employees were just face down in their phones, ignoring everyone trying to figure out if they really didn't have anything. It was pretty disappointing. The few times I've gone before the boba milk tea was pretty decent, small size for the cost, but the customer service on all times I've gone has been severely lacking. read more

Service was quick and the boba tea was everything I expected. The tea had wonderful deep flavors and did not taste like powdered flavors + sugar. Boba was soft and bouncy which is always good. Glad to have another Boba spot, especially at a food court our family visit frequently! read more

Love that there's finally a Taiwanese bubble tea shop in Naperville, located right in the H-Mart food court. There's a wide selection of drinks with various options for toppings (eg boba, pudding, jelly). The sweetness can be a bit excessive in my opinion, so I usually opt for either 0% or 30% sweetness level, but that's just my personal taste. Prices are a little steep ($6-$7 for the larger drinks), but it seems comparable to other boba shops in the Chicagoland area, so can't really complain on that front. Regardless, the store has great service and is a nice place to get some Taiwanese bubble tea! Will definitely come back to try the other options on the menu! read more

I am not a fan of this place. They try to force you to use the computer kiosk in order to save on people taking your orders for you. People might like the taste of what they have. Even the manager had trouble punching in the orders on the kiosk. I already came from working in the morning till the afternoon. The last thing I want to do is punch in orders at a kiosk. Sorry. Gong cha will be located inside the food court of the H Mart grocery store. They will offer a variety of bubble teas and coffees. The menu looks pretty good and offers a couple of unique items I haven't seen elsewhere. Similar to Pisces Cafe, you'll be able to select your ice and sugar levels. Pricing looks to be a tiny bit higher than other bubble tea shops, but it's negligible. I tried a few samples: strawberry creme brulee, caramel milk tea, and taro milk tea. All tasted very good, but the strawberry creme brulee was my favorite because I've never had a drink quite like this one. It doesn't matter if it's busy, slow, or whatever - the service is consistently and dependably disappointing. What's the hold up? There seems to be enough capable people ready to handle the order in an acceptable fashion. It appears the location is properly stocked with the right ingredients.
