The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and is quite a nice location for a dinner date or to celebrate a special event. You either order take out or dine in. We ordered take out on this visit; ordering the Chicken Fried Rice, the Fried Chicken Wings, the Pepper Shrimp, the Chicken Corn Soup, and the Hot and Sour Soup. Everything we tried was exceptionally good. My favorite dish being the Chicken Corn soup. Overall, the food is really good and worthwhile checking out of you are in the Chicago area. This Chinese restaurant became a lifesaver when hubby and I stayed close by at the Best Western Naperville on 6/6/26. We were trying to find a place to eat dinner nearby and noticed them which were practically next door. We ordered Shrimp Fried Rice and Ribeye Steak with Mushrooms for carry out. The prepared the order quickly and within a few minutes, the order was ready. Upon picking up the order, we noticed how nice the establishment was inside. The Shrimp in the dish was jumbo shrimp which was a nice surprise. Both dishes were only okay due to lack of flavor. They were skimpy in the number of soy and sweet & sour sauce (2 of each). They were nice enough to give us 2 fortune cookies (one cheated me out of a fortune, LOL). NOTE: They have a Chicago location in Chinatown as well. read more

There are several Ming Hins in the Chicago area, and this one in Naperville is one of the best. It certainly has the best service as there are at least a dozen servers standing around waiting and watching for someone to call them over (our teapot was never empty). I enjoyed the food at this Minghin location. All of the shrimp dishes we ordered tasted fresh and quality was good. They have an expansive menu with plenty of dim sum items as well as the typical Chinese dishes incorporating flavors from various Chinese regions. The restaurant is huge, more simply decorated compared to the ones in the city but the food is similar. I came on a Saturday night but it didn't feel crowded at all with plenty of tables available. Very Disappointing Experience at MingHin Cuisine - Chinatown I have been to MingHin Cuisine's Chinatown location approximately five times in the last six months, so I am not someone who is unfamiliar with the restaurant. Unfortunately, my experience on August 23 was extremely disappointing. I had a party of nine and spent $198.46, and for that amount of money, I expect cleanliness, quality food, attentive service, and basic respect. For those unfamiliar with MingHin, the food is served family-style, meaning the dishes are intended to be shared among the table. One entrée can serve approximately three people, so when you order for a large party, every entrée matters and is expected to contain a reasonable amount of the main ingredient. When we were seated, the table was not properly cleaned or sanitized, and the dishes brought to the table did not appear clean. When we asked for the table to be cleaned, we were given a paper towel rather than having someone properly clean and sanitize it. The service continued to be disappointing. We were left waiting, and I eventually had to get up and find an employee just to ask when our server was coming. When our food finally arrived, there were multiple problems. The beef and broccoli had very little beef and was overwhelmingly broccoli, with little to no sauce. Remember, this is family-style dining, so an entrée like this is supposed to serve several people. When the dish contains very little of the actual protein ordered, it is not simply a small portion for one customer--it affects the entire table. The chicken and broccoli also did not come with the appropriate rice. We ordered two orange chicken dishes--one spicy and one regular. The chicken was not crispy as expected and appeared to be covered or drenched in orange sauce. One of the orders was also not prepared spicy as specifically requested. We brought this to our server's attention, and he made no real effort to correct the problem or make it right. Our server then never returned to check on our table. I ultimately had to ask for the check myself. And there is another ongoing issue that I find particularly frustrating: Every single time I have visited this restaurant, including this visit, I have tried to order one of your blended cocktails and have been told that the blender is broken. Every time? At a restaurant this busy and established? Equipment can break, but repeatedly telling customers that the blender is broken without resolving the issue is unacceptable. I work hard for my money. When I spend nearly $200 on a family-style meal for nine people, I am paying for more than food--I am paying for a dining experience, quality, cleanliness, and professional service. What bothers me most is that when things went wrong, there was no sense of urgency, no effort to make it right, and no concern for our experience. Meanwhile, other tables around us appeared to be receiving their meals and service promptly. I am extremely disappointed because I have given this restaurant my business repeatedly. I should not have to spend my hard-earned money and leave feeling disregarded and disrespected. MingHin management needs to take a serious look at what is happening at the Chinatown location. Customers deserve clean tables, clean dishes, properly prepared food, appropriate portions of the ingredients they are paying for, attentive service, and staff who actually care when a customer brings a legitimate problem to their attention. This was not the experience I expected from MingHin Cuisine, and based on this visit, I cannot recommend the Chinatown location. read more

Best dim sum in the Chicago suburbs! We go here often and the food and service are great, the bathrooms/restaurant is clean, and they have lots of vegetarian options for me as well! My favorites from the menu are the bean sprout & soy sauce chow mein noodle (that I add fried tofu to), and the pan fried vegetable roll. My family says they have the best potstickers in the area! My family and I have been coming to Ming Hin for about 6 years. The food is so authentic and delicious. We have ordered dim sum, weekday lunch specials and regular entrees. There's spacious parking, the decor is Chinese and elegant, and the service is quick. The staff are very nice. The restaurant has many tables and can seat a big group. We are normally at the Rolling Meadows location but met some family here. I will start out by saying Minghin is very likely my favorite restaurant. I love Asian food, and Dim Sum and Minghin. It is menu driven like their other locations, no carts. It is getting almost impossible to find cart service any more. Menu service makes a quicker meal, no waiting for the cart of what you want to come around. The inside is very nice, and the service is excellent. The food is always hot and fresh. The menu is the same as Rolling Meadows so I knew it well. This time we got my wife's favorite taro puff, both steamed and baked BBQ pork buns (everyone's favorite), har gow, siu mai, pan fried chive cakes, and I love their spicy chicken feet (no one else in the family does) Their amazing BBQ pork and a plate of chinese broccoli. Then the Malay sponge cake which is a crowd pleaser and one of the favorite things in the world, their creamy egg yolk buns which are like a salted egg yolk filled pineapple bun. It's heaven! There are so many other things I love like stuffed bean curd skin or the long shrimp noodle dumplings. Dining in I have experienced nothing but great service especially with a larger group. Beef stir fried chow mein is one of my favorite dishes and this place nailed it. Its doesn't get more simple than this. I appreciate when places don't over fill the dish with veggies and is more noodle heavy. This dish was so good, I ate here twice in one week while I was in town for work. Both times did not disappoint and the dish was consistent. I found the price pretty reasonable. $17 for this dish where the portions could definitely feed 2 people or have enough for dinner and left overs the next day for 1 person. Either way, worth it. After reading through some reviews on Yelp and Google, some of them made me laugh out loud. I just wanted to clarify a couple of things, this place is not a Michelin star. Clearly, that person has never been to a Michelin star restaurant, because if you've ever been to one then you'll know. Secondly, this place is not fancy or super expensive. It depends on what you order. If you order like 10 dim sum items for only one person, then yeah it would be expensive. On the regular menu, the portions are ample and the prices are reasonable. On a side note, there are not many dim sum restaurants in Naperville, so this would be considered a specialty. If there were 2 other dim sum restaurants within 5 mins of each other, then Minghin's dim sum prices would probably be cheaper to compete. Parking is sufficient but if you go on the weekends or holidays, then yes it can get busy. Don't go on those days, go on a weekday or weeknight. Mon-Thurs would be ideal but Fri can be okay. If you must go on the weekend, then aim for 11 am. 12 pm and after, don't be surprised if it gets hectic. Service every time I went was average. I did not experience any racism or rude service. Food quality was always consistent each time I dined in or got takeout. You order with the tablet and the food comes out relatively fast and hot. This is not the restaurant's fault but I wished they had another entrance/exit. From the outside to the interior, I can't say there is much that makes this place stand apart from other establishments. However, the food and prices are outstanding, with the exception of the sleep short rib. That dish was chewy than it should be, and the flavor was lacking. Each of the dumplings was delicious, cooked, and especially priced well. Don't hesitate to order anything other than the short rib on the menu. Additionally, if you've never had a pan-fried taro cake or would like to try an excellently prepared one, try this one. Taro is a root and can have a similar texture to a potato when cooked. The difference is in the slight sweetness. Service for this establishment was quick and well paced. We were never lacking with the food and could always order more when we needed it. Coming to Chicago, I really missed reasonably priced dim sum. My friend highly recommended Minghin Naperville because it's the best he's had. They have a parking lot, so parking is easy and free. The restaurant is big and has lots of seating options from tables to booths. You order on a iPad and the food comes out very quickly as they're ready. The service is great, the servers quickly removed plates as soon as they were cleared. Super attentive service! The dim sum is good and super cheap compared to the city. The stand out dishes were all the vegetable dishes and the fried rice. They all had an amazing flavor, and were fresh. Service was OK but the amount of food we ordered and how large our party was it could have been better. There should've been more attention to the needs of our table, such as removing empty plates and trash from our table. I love the way the table top rotates around so no one has to reach over anyone to sample a particular dish. Price point was reasonable. I also ate at their other restaurant in Rolling Meadows, which was really aweful. Besides the similar menus, each of the three Minhin Cuisine restaurants that I visited had poor customer service. It sometimes feels like many, not all, of the staff are angry at you for making them serve serve you. I will continue my search for a great dim sum restaurant.
